Cosima is located inside the old boiler room of the Mill No. 1 building, which has been nationally recognized for its painstaking renovation. Both the menu and atmosphere provide a warm inviting environment for friends, families and neighbors to gather and perhaps discover a part of the city many Baltimoreans have never seen. Dining on Cosima’s outdoor patio will offer incredible views of the historic Jones Falls waterway.
Sicily, and the surrounding Southern Italian region, is known for fresh and seasonal ingredients but is also a mix of all surrounding Mediterranean cuisines. Sicily was once home to Greeks, Arabs, French and Spanish – all lending their cultures to create modern Sicilian and Italian heritage.

Great for Apps and Drinks. Did not like the mains
My experience was only average. The waitress was very difficult to understand, the room was noisy and food became difficult to order due to my food allergy. I could not get a salad because they would not take the onions out. What I was able to eat was good as well as the person I was with. I would not make it a first choice to go back.
Always excellent. Donna knows how to run an outstanding restaurant.
Cosima is a lively spot but not noisy and the food is fabulous. Perfectly cooked, seasoned and presented. Great service and the owner, Donna, came by to say hello.
Although hard to find, it is definitely worth the trip!
Excellent food, service and ambiance. Highly recommended for special occasions.
Old cotton mill. Fascinating, hidden location in large buildings also housing other businesses.
Fabulous setting, everything was delicious & great wines
Wonderful - the food was incredible and the service was spot on
Quiet birthday dinner, food was terrific, ambiance perfect, repurposed building was interesting. Great experience
The building is beautiful inside and out. The menu looked really interesting but we honestly thought the food was average. My husband had the meatball appetizer and the octopus appetizer. Both were good but not fantastic. There was a special brussel sprout appetizer that was delicious. I had a $36 scallop on risotto entree and the scallops were good (cooked nicely) but the risotto was almost hard to eat - strange taste and consistency, and I almost always love risotto (pretty easy to please). Our waitress was attentive but it was very hard to understand her with a strong accent. I would return and give it another shot because it's such a cool space that I really want to like.
Love this place .....our favorite out of the way joint
We love the atmosphere and concept. The wait staff was nice and attentive. The food was decent but pricey. Who would have thought the special flatbread of the day would cost $36? The other flatbreads were 16-18 dollars so we did not ever think that would be $36. Our fault for not asking how much it was. Did not think the wine list was especially good choices to pick from. No recognizable vineyards or like comparison. Very pricey to boot. Don't think we will ever go back. Too bad. We noted on the reservation it was my husbands birthday celebration. They did not present or offer a birthday dessert.
The customer service was terrible. The bussing was almost nonexistent. For the cost this was a terrible meal.
Overall, would not recommend. Food was not good. Drinks outside were the highlight for us; great view. Service was fine. Had our car go through valet and I can say with 90% certainty that they scratched my car trying to back it in one of their tight spaces in the warehouse. Will not be going back.
We have been there before; it never disappoints us. I am Sicilian and the food is authentic. The wait staff is always very helpful and attentive. We go to this restaurant for our special occasions.
Waiter took forever with drink order and refills. Food runners delivered meals incorrectly for every course.
This was a Sunday evening, early dinner and not very busy, Driveway to valet also a challenge.
The staff (and guests) were all super nice. The food was also some of the best I’ve ever had (particularly the gelato). It was a very comfortable environment and I highly recommend eating outside if the weather permits!
The meal was good. The raw scallops appetizer was very strange tasting and we should have sent back. My half lobster dinner had very little lobster, although the ink pasta and sauce were very tasty that it was served with. My husband's bronzino was excellent, as was my oldest son's pork shank meal. My other two sons' steak dinners were well prepared. My youngest son complained that his pasta and chicken meal had very little chicken, although the pasta meal itself was well flavored. Service was good and very attentive, but I wish I had been honest about raw scallops. It was third time to Cosima and probably our last due to strange scallop appetizer.
Perfect dinner place whether for date-night or ladies night out. Love the bar!
Outstanding food, as always. I have never been disappointed at Cosima.
Amazing staff. Everyone was so friendly and food was yummy! Would visiting them again soon.
I had a great time at Cosima. We were welcomed by courteous manager and waitress and every costumers were treated like VIPs.
I went for the lobster fettuccine and I’m very satisfied with the dish. My boyfriend had chicken and the fruity and slightly citric seasoning was perfect.
It’s my second visit and I would definitely go back for more.
I took a friend to treat her to a birthdy dinner. The food was excellent and the service was very good. Seeing Donna was a bonas.
Good food....better environment....Chazz our waiter was great
It was a lovely experience! My entree was just OK, but the appetizer and seasonal cocktails = delicious!
This was our third time here and we were disappointed. It took 30 mins to get drinks and another 20 to get apps. 8pm reservation and left at 10:45 on a Tuesday. Was not pleased.
I love going to Cosima. The bar area is great, the patio is wonderful, and they have a lot of cozy spots set up inside. It's the perfect restaurant for any occasion.
Cosima delivered the delicious goods! The surroundings are beautiful inside & out...and the food is exquisite. If you like pork as I do, order the porchetta....beyond fabulous. My husband was quite jealous but I took him some home. And the lavender panna cotta was to die for, though luckily I survived...
Oh, and our server was terrific....knowledgeable & right on the mark
Consistently a great place to dine with friends or one on one. Nice mix of choices on the menu. Always able to find options for each person. Everything I have tried has been outstanding. The space is fun. Staff is well informed on the menu and wines. Free parking is a great asset, too!
We didn't realize that it was restaurant week until we arrived. We have dined at Cosima before and love the all of the creative options that the menu has to offer. We were disappointed at the limited choices on the fixed price menu because we didn't have the flexibility to order a variety of small plates or other dishes. Also don't like that you have to order dessert. We will return another time for your delicious ala carte menu!
Food was wonderful, atmosphere is great, staff are super, including being very helpful with dietary requirements of one of our group
Service was not great, but the food made up for it!
Best outdoor seating in the city. It's pricey enough where it's definitely a special treat-- but it's well worth it. The deal for restaurant week was excellent and the food is always good. But the star is definitely the patio.
Very good dining experience !!!
Service was also very good but but the only downfall was the waiter should have advised the tip was included/posted when check arrived (and not placed check on table without comment).
Not a real Southern Italian food. Everything is very plain and overpriced
It was restaurant week so the place was hoppin. We are regulars but got put upstairs next to the generator which vibrated our table the whole night. It was also very hot. The food was really good except for the sardine pasta which really tasted like too many canned sardines. It was fishy and salty and not my taste at all. Everything else had character and great flavor.
The food was amazing. Look forward to enjoying dinner at Cosima again soon!
What a fantastic restaurant!
We came here for restaurant week as a follow up experience to a previous birthday dinner here a year ago. Tonight, our server was either underprepared or overwhelmed with simple questions about the menu or requests for recommendations. My Arancini appetizer was undersized compared to other appetizers going by (only the restaurant week menu was available). My entree, the boar with tomato sauce and polenta was not memorable. I did enjoy the panna cotta dessert. To top things off, I forgot my to go box on the table and came back for it less than ten mins later. I was met with shrugs, that it had been thrown out already. This was really the straw that broke the camel’s back. You’d think they would keep a to go box for at least 15-20 mins to see if the person might come back for it, especially mine that basically had a full meal in it. Waste of money. I don’t recommend this place at all.
