Support Cosa Buona during COVID-19
Manager and Waitress were gracious and attentive. Hostess was rude beyond comprehension. Food
Is great.
Great food for all (friends and family).
Cosa Buona makes a pizza with ‘njuda sausage, squash blossoms, and a little honey. Yummy!
Cute spot, tasty food
Food is delicious. Atmosphere is eclectic and inviting. My only minor issue is the reservation I made (for 2) was not honored due to limited seating availability. Hostess was accommodating, staff had a slight attitude, but no major issue.
Hi, Jules! Thank you for this feedback. I would love to chat more with you if you could please e-mail back at heather@alimentola.co m! Thank you!
I’ve been here before and my partner hadn’t. The taste of the food was magnificent the service however left us feeling like we aren’t of value. After entering we received waters and our menus. We decided what we wanted about 20-30 minutes pass by and we still haven’t had a server come to our table. About 40 minutes in I ask the host if we could get a server. She said this was odd and reassured us we would get someone soon.
The server checks into the tables around us who already have food first and takes an order from someone who came in about 20 minutes after us. She asked us if we wanted drinks but never came back with them, then later asked us if we were ready to order food. Upon ordering food despite me ordering an appetizer she took away the empty plates that had been on the table since we arrived. She didn’t even give us our food or check in again but I saw her serving tables around us. We had to ask someone else for the box and we didn’t even get offered a dessert menu.
I’m quite saddened by this experience because it was my partners birthday and last day in the US before he leaves on a business trip. We had to go across the street for drinks because the ones we ordered never came
Thank you so much for sending this feedback. I am super saddened to hear that you did not have a great dining experience with us. We clearly missed the mark, and for that I apologize. I would love to chat more with you about your experience and opportunities for us to improve. Looking forward to hearing from you! heather@alimentola.co m
Nice space and interesting menu. However virtually everything we ordered was completely overpowered with salt, seasoning, and chili. Very disappointing. Simple flavors where you can actually taste the main ingredient would have been so much better.
Hello! I've communicated your feedback to our chef in hopes of improving... Hope to see you again sometime. - Heather
A great experience with a couple of friends. The food was amazing. The service was great. Overall it was a fun time and would do it all over again.
THANK YOU FOR THE KIND WORDS, LOVE AND SUPPORT :)
I love this place, the food is fantastic - especially the tiramisu - and the wine list is interesting.
Thank you for the love and support! :)
Great place to drop in for Italian food and good wine or beer
We’ve been fans from the start. Still are. A couple times a month regulars.
The food is outstanding! Been there many times & love going back.
Thank you so much!!! :)
We waited a full 15 minutes to be acknowledged from our seats at the bar. It was 5:30pm and the restaurant was not busy enough to justify this kind of wait for even a greeting, water, or menus. Three servers/bartenders were behind the bar at the time, and none made eye contact. We would have left had we not been on too tight a timeline that evening to start from scratch finding another place to eat. The food was delicious, but it's a shame how negative and lasting an impression that first experience of being ignored makes. It's hard to come back from. I was a host, server, and bartender for years, and my friendly suggestion would be to at least make eye contact and throw down water and menus, even if you have to pause for a second while putting in an order or opening a bottle of wine behind the bar -- just let us know you see us and care that we're there.
We LOVE Cosa Buona and feel lucky to consider it our local neighborhood restaurant! The food is always delicious. We enjoyed the dineLA menu a lot. We have been many times and will definitely go back again!
We dined in during DineLA and that little place filled up! Glad we had a reservation! Everything we had was delicious. We had the chopped salad, sunchoke soup, eggplant parm, biancoverde pizza, and cheesecake. The cheesecake was the highlight of the evening- the semolina crumble was the perfect crunch since there wasn’t a crust like a classic cheesecake. And the cherries were the perfect tart bite to balance the richness and creaminess of the cake. Of everything, the sunchoke soup was the most lackluster. The crispness of the shaved sunchoke became quickly soggy once the soup was stirred and bc of the smoothness of the soup, it was more reminiscent of a gravy than a soup in my opinion.
Our waitstaff were all friendly and checked in at perfect intervals- allowing us to taste our food before making an assessment when asked how things were and then left to enjoy our meal and conversation.
Only complaint would be the proximity of the tables to one another. And because the table was secured to the floor it made shimmying out a little awkward with diners on both sides.
Food was excellent; a bit pricey for pizza but delicious nevertheless. Thin crust, well baked and delicious. Sat near the door so it was drafty every time someone entered or exited.
What a wonderful restaurant in Echo Park! I really appreciate the friendliness and efficiency of staff. We were well taken care of and our food came out fast and was so delicious. I recommend the chopped salad and veggie supreme pizza!
Love this gem of a restaurant- always delicious cool scene
Nice little restaurant with an amazing menu & wine selection. Shared the grilled greek, a spicy/honey pizza and a sunchoke soup. All were delicious.
Food is fabulous! The garlic bread and meatballs alone were superb! Pizza is extremely authentic stone oven. Friendly and fun staff. Definitely my go to place for a great glass of wine and some carbs!
The ambiance is romantic and intimate. The service is friendly and efficient. The food is AMAZING! Definitely returning in the near future.
Unbelievable food. Remarkable service. Stellar atmosphere. New favorite.
The food here is delicious! Great pizza (coming from a NYer), and a really cute space. Good for a date, or a night with friends.
We came here for my birthday - despite being a small restaurant, it seemed understaffed. It was hard to get things like napkins and water. They also wouldn’t make any changes to accommodate a dietary restriction. I might come here again as a party of 2-4, but I don’t think I would come back with a large group.
Food was amazing . All.staff except the woman maitre d at front was very cold and.not friendly at all.
Would.not.go back for this reason
The food is always delicious!!! And the staff remembers you and are so cool!
Always love.
Always welcoming! Amazing food and friendly staff!
Celebrated my husbands birthday Saturday night with his son and wife. It was their first time. They
loved it and said they would be back. Everytime we come we try something new and something old.
Meatballs are the staple now with the mozarella sticks and homemade ranch. We did try the bbq
chicken pizza this time. It blew us away with flavor. His son tried the Hawaiian also very delicious.
You can't go wrong here the food is always good. Can't wait till next time.

They seated us for a reservation immediately. It was a little difficult to get the attention of our server after our food arrived, but the mozzarella sticks and bread & burrata were MIND BLOWINGLY GOOD! Highly recommend ordering both of those.
I LOVE THIS PLACE. I LOVE DERRICK , HE ALWAYS GREETS US WITH A SMILE. MAKES US FEEL AT HOME..... NOW THE FOOD IS TO DIE FOR. ALWAYS HAVE TO HAVE THE MEAT BALLS AND MOZZARELLA CHEESE STICKS WITH RANCH DRESSING. OF COURSE THE PIZZA IS SO LIGHT
AND DELICIOUS. THANK YOU FOR SUCH A COOL RESTAURANT. ALL THE WAITERS ARE THE
BEST. THANK YOU FOR ALWAYS FINDING ME A GREAT TABLE.
We've been to Cosa Buona for dinner several times in the past and often get takeout from them. Their salads and pizzas are great, if a little expensive. The winelist seems unnecessarily pricey to me. What's really driving this review is the service: our waitperson was glib, bordering on rude, and the food runners were actually surly, practically throwing the meals on the table and trying to remove appetizer plates before we had finished. The place just isn't big enough to warrant that kind of rush.
We had three different pizzas and they all lacked adequate toppings. They are very light handed with their toppings. The meatballs were delicious. We all agreed there are better Italian restaurant choices in L.A.
It’s my neighborhood spot, food is always fantastic and service always great.
Lots of folks told me to go try the pizza here, and I'd read about it in foodie magazines and online places like EaterLA. Since I was going to a show at the Greek, I was in that part of town. Gotta say that the pizza was salty -- both the margarita and marinara pizzas. So were the fabled mozzarella sticks. Yes, the pizza dough and oven yielded a nice, light but chewy crust. Tomato sauce was good. But frankly, 800 Degrees is better for considerably less $. Or if you are having an upscale night in terms of atmosphere and trendy spots, Roberta's pizza is better artisan pizza (Culver City), and so's La Pizza La Pasta at Century City's Eataly, without all that salt! (Were they having an off night?)
Great pizza. Great salads and veggies. Great natural wine.
Pizza is very good particularly the crispy crust that is deliciously thick only where it should be, on the perimeter. One complaint: the chef is heavy-handed with the salt. Everything was over salted.
Everything was mostly great. The food was incredible. Our server was not quite as good as last time, a little less friendly and patient. We understood about the $25 corkage fee and brought our own wine as we were unable to find the wine list online. Our server told us the first 2 bottles would be $25 and the third $50. We thought he was kidding! This absolutely should be noted online as well as wine list with prices. We made our reservation at the only time we could get a table for 6 and planned on a leisurely meal and we were going to a show at 9:15 at The Echo. $50 to open a third bottle, not customer friendly.
Food and Service was Amazing !
Went with a group of friends and quickly got a reservation. Best pizza in SL.
Absolutely fantastic! Amazing food and exceptional service. Really relaxed but also great vibes. I thoroughly enjoyed myself. Family friendly but still totally great if you're not with kids. Order dessert!!!
