Always a delightful experience. Always SPECTACULAR service and yummy dinners. Many locals, many travelers, great for special occasions and intimate meals.
Corso is an outstanding restaurant, even by Berkeley standards. The meal was excellent, the service was superb, and the ambiance was great. There isn't anything on the menu I wouldn't try,. but I would especially recommend the Salsiccia with superb homemade sausage. My wife had the salmon and though it was wonderful as well. And for dessert, it's hard to get better than the chocolate budini.
Lovely meal, great food, starters and primary dishes +!cocktails
First and foremost, the food was exceptional. We had a salmon dish which was prepared to perfection. The appetizer course, grilled sardines, were wonderful as well. The ambiance was great, but we did score a table that was near the front window so we were not surrounded by other patrons. The service was exceptional as well. Our server provided excellent descriptions of the dishes and regularly checked-in to ensure our experience was satisfactory.
This is one of our favorite North Berkeley restaurants. Fresh ingredients, meticulous preparation, great menu, in a lovely dining space that is easy to get to on foot (from Berkeley BART). The wait staff always provides friendly and knowledgeable service (ask about any dish and they will give you all the juicy details). The pasta is made fresh and it is always perfect. If you don't like pasta, there are so many other options; something for every taste. Tables book fast; advanced booking is recommended. Sitting at the bar also is nice, if you can get a spot.
Excellent food, great drinks, attentive and efficient service. We had (as always) a great evening at Corso! Thank you!
Usually the food is consistently good and predictable. Today’s visit was an exception. The Raviolo and the Shrimp Fritters were bland and pretty tasteless - badly I need of salt and pepper. Even the olives were not in the usual charming oil with citrus. Not sure what was going on but s suggestion is for the beds to taste food they’re user influence
The experience in the restaurant was incredible, the service was great and the food just spectacular!!
I found this restaurant through the open table app and after reviewing the comments I decided to give it a try. Absolutely delicious.
By the way, if you see the pictures of the food, don’t get fooled, they are much bigger!!
A must try
Wonderful as usual.
All good except I asked for my Branzino to be deboned and the kitchen didn’t do a very good job. Hard to eat without choking. And like almost all restaurants, too loud. Otherwise great.
terrific place to dine but go early to avoid the noise
One of the best Italian restaurants I've been to in the bay area. The prices are very reasonable, given the quality of the food.
Consistently great! The classics are always good, and the seasonal surprises. A great place for dinner.
Wonderful food but I wish there were some vegetables with some of the main dishes. I chose the chicken meatballs because there was broccolini with it and some polenta. It was delicious, just enough food. Wish I could afford to eat here more often and to have a side dish with my main.
Best meal I’ve had in a long time. Each appetizer and course was a new reveal to the palate. Service perfect. A great night out.
Great spot table ready when we arrived- wait staff great happy to explain the food choices and preparation
The Food was excellent and plentiful
My only issue is the NOISE LEVEL - and the placement of the tables all together but for this it was a great evening
The cocktails were not strong at all. i ordered the vodka drink and it had barely any alcohol. bread came out late
i would rate the service especially on our table mediocre
the food was very good though. both our dishes were superb ! tomato soup was a sightly tart but overall good !!!
bartender needs to up his game !!!
Fried green tomatoes (one of my favorites) had extremely heavy breading. Sent it back. Salmon was undercooked at the center.
Surprisingly disappointing food presentation from one of my favorite restaurants.
Good food and outstanding desserts. But the best were the top notch wines at very reasonable prices. We will be back.
One of the best meals ever.
Spectacular food, service, and ambiance as ever. Love this restaurant!
Food was too salty, and too expensive, and not enough variety. Waitress never came back to check with us. The wrong wine was brought. We are done with Corso.
Corso has been one of my favorites but on this visit it was cacophonous at 5 p.m, sitting in front, which is usually less noisy but on this nite everyone was seated in the front near the windows. My lamb was fine, nothing I could not do easily myself at home, but the beans in a weak tomato sauce were served lukewarm. Corso has a changing repertoire of red wine; I always try a couple and liked mine. My companion was much happier with her meal: sardines to start and then sausage & a traditional cocktail she liked a lot.
I'm giving up on restaurants for the time being. I'll cook myself and invite a friend to dine on my quiet deck.
We went here to celebrate our anniversary before a show at The Greek theater. Great choice! We got stuck in traffic and they were able to accommodate a later time. Delicious melon appetizer!
the food was excellent and the restaurant is very pleasant. I like the location because it is possible to find a parking place easily.
Our server Claudia was excellent. Food solid not great in my opinion. The tripe was excellent tho As was the Affogato
Will definitely be back
Always excellent. Great staff, but sometimes too eager to clear. Wish I could help with the wine by the glass list.
Had dinner at Corso prior to a Berkeley Rep performance. Servers where attentive to our time constraints. The food is very good. I particularly like the chicken liver pate. Great flavor and interesting preparation. Nicely priced wine list.
We’ve been to Corso many times. Food is always fresh and well prepared.
Branzino is a winner, corn fritters & polenta delicious.
Service is attentive with out being pushy.
A comfortable, lively place to eat.
You eat here because you want to enjoy the company of your friends, the quality of the food and general atmosphere if others doing the same. No tricks or gimmick. The best.
We had appetizers, salads, pastas, and desserts. Every dish was perfect.
We eat here whenever we are in Berkeley. Yes it can be noisy, but there is nothing you can do about that. The food and the service far outweigh any other inconvenience.
Took my dad for his birthday. Corso is always my go to for Italian and we always leave impressed, from wine to food to service.
I loved it. Great food
Had amazing meal
We all had very enjoyable meals.
This was the 3rd time my dining partner and I had dinner at Corso. First and second time . . . .very good. This time, Thurs 6/13, was even better. Just amazing service, food, and ambience. We both had a pasta dish, and both were exceptional . . . .mine was squid ink cannelloni . . . .just fabulous . . .with a sensational glass of Barolo. Proceeded the pasta with veggie appetizers . . .again, just amazing. Dessert was the BEST panna cotta and a flourless chocolate cake (think rich, like a brownie). Excellent service, from start through finish. Corso, you rock . . . . .
Everything was splendid except the noise level, which died down about 9:30. That's a problem with this place, otherwise you are doing great.
Disappointing pasta dishes, both were under seasoned and overpriced, given the quality and quantity. Service was outstanding, however.
