Food is overpriced. $180 for two with wine. Some items excellent (duck), some so so (cannelloni).
Even as a regular customer, Corso continues to impress us on every visit. Careful and creative thought goes into each dish. Results are tremendously satisfying. Halibut with farro and pickled rhubarb was delicious and fascinating.
The pate appetizer was anything but appetizing. My pasta dish with pancetta and clams was wayyyy too salty. My sister had a dish she couldn’t even finish.
The service was excellent though and waiters have no control over how well the food is prepared.
But the price for two drinks two appetizers and two main course meals shouldn’t have been in excess of 100 dollars before tip...
Food was delicious. Appetizers, salads, chicken liver toast (OMG. SO GOOD), pastas (agnolotti special was so artichokie good. Great dish!), Sostanza chicken, bistecca.... all so good.
Specials visually matched social media and were very satisfying and delicious.
Staff was very friendly, prompt and courteous.

We have eaten at Corso before while visiting our son at UC Berkekey and every time the food is fantastic!! When you have four different meals and 2 appetizers and cocktails at the bar first and everyone’s meal is fabulous you know you are at the right place!!!
I had a broiled bass which was fabulous. A complimentary bowl of olives arrived while we waited for our orders to arrive was greatly appreciated. Our server, whose name I don’t recall was outstanding. She expertly deboned my bass. This is an outstanding restaurant that I return to over and over.
Cozy atmosphere and delicious food. I enjoyed the lamb. The Corso staff were fantastic at handling my serious gluten allergy (Celiac), and I would particularly recommend this restaurant to others who suffer from the condition or other allergies.

The food and service was exceptionally good, the noise level was exceptionally high, painful almost and the portions were small for the price.

Bingo! What a find!! Loved sitting at the Chef's counter. The chefs are friendly and interactive. A+ food, creative, flavorful! These young Chefs know what they are doing!! Anyone that really enjoys food will love this place! Great staff, friendly, and although they were busy (rightfully so) you never felt rushed. Don't miss this amazing little spot!
Love Corso! Hadn't been there for several years and was pleasantly surprised that it continues to offer great food and service!
Only negatives: too much salt overall (eg swordfish, chicken meatballs. Why? ) And way too sour vinaigrette on artichoke salad; almost inedible —what a waste.

Food was average at best and service was not very good. I have been there several times over several years and it seemed better before. Something has changed for the worse.
It Used to be much, much better in every thing . However, the portions got smaller and smaller and much more pricier .this restaurant management and food preparation needs lots of improvements to be made in order to be considered for s dinner. Unfortunately it GOT GREEDIER and GREEDIER....unacceptable at all. Will not recommend this place to my friends ever.
Had a wonderful Valentines Day dinner at Corso. The prix fixe menu had multiple options, all of which looked delicious. All in all a great evening out.

The shrimp with squid ink pasta is one of the most flavorful meals I have had in ages.
The rockfish with black garlic sauce was absolutely delicious. My server recommended a great wine to enhance my dining experience. For dessert: gelato and limoncello - heavenly!

Corso never fails us!!
Three of us sampled a number of the limited vegetarian options, the one stuffed pasta entree ordered was delicious.
Cauliflower soup, spicy; the arugula pistachio and grapefruit salad was refreshing and very tasty.
Only concern was that vegetarian options were very limited. However, we were more than pleased with what we ordered. The side of polenta was like a savory custard, almost a flan, topped with perfectly "caramelized" shredded Parmigiano. Magnifico!
Plenty of excellent bread, perfect house chianti, and mixed olives to round it out.
The dessert options seemed overwhelming and being charged by my companions with the decision, I chose the simple Meyer lemon sorbetto, stunningly smart, sour sweet and enough bitter to balance perfectly, and the vaniglia gelato, which was rich, creamy and very slightly gritty from the real vanilla bean.
Very glad to have chosen Corso for our celebration of friendship. I'm now back in the midst of a Midwestern winter, but I look forward to another meal, next time!
There are so few restaurants that have the chops to pull off what Corso does with seeming ease.
Try the tripa, it's not menudo or Pho! It's different and amazing!
Try the ravioli - I guarantee that you haven't had anything like it!
The chicken, steak, calamari, doesn't matter what we try... it's all incredible and the service to match.
The first time I ate at Corso the food and wait staff were over the top. the second time, a year later, it was good but not great. This recent time, another year later, the food was not that interesting or special, and the wait staff very average. I do not think I will be back.

We love this place! This was our 3rd dining experience at this location, and once again, we were pleased with every delicious bite. We ordered the meat/salami appetizer and it was fabulous! Also ordered was the sea bass, chicken, and a pasta dish, all we’re cooked to perfection. For dessert we ordered the delectable gourmet sundae and the sorbet, both heavenly. Even though the restaurant was crowded, with people waiting to be seated, our server never made us feel rushed. The host, however, fretted and hovered nearby, making it obvious to us that we needed to eat and get the heck out.... Regardless, we will return, and we will take our sweet time enjoying our meal.
I’ve been trying to convince my wife to go here for years. We finally have Corso in regular rotation now and she loves their food. Me too.

The food and the staff at Corso are both awesome. The dishes are creative, vegetarian options delicious, and the desserts are great too. We love it!
I really wanted to like this place, but the more I think about it, the less there is to like. The food was good, what there was of it. My pork shoulder portion was just way to small. The polenta was delicious. The wine list is skewed to the expensive side, which is just out of touch with what diners want. Want me to come back? Offer more price points. Service was slow and when I asked about the A.Q. steak on the menu the A.Q. was never addressed. I think our waiter's girlfriend was at the bar so he seemed distracted.
Food was perfectly seasoned. The fresh pasta was very delicious! Staff was attentive and friendly. I will definitely be coming back here anytime I visit Berkeley!
