We had the sirloin and king crab legs and both were terrible. Definitely our least favorite place on Jekyll so far.
Truly enjoyable. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. The food was quite good and the outside table was great. I would return....
A little pricey for the amount of food you receive. My husband had the chicken and said it was very bland. The best part of the meal was the oyster appetizer.
Amazing as usual. I have eaten here twice and have been pleased both times.
We were underwhelmed with the taste of the food and the lack of menu options. The bright spot was our sever, Gabriella, she was extremely helpful and courteous. Will give it a second try but not a third if we receive a repeat food experience.
My husband and I wanted to try this new seafood place. It was amazing! The appetizers had unique flavor, absolutely delicious. Our dinner was beautiful and flavorful. Chef gets A+ : )
This was the worst dining experience of our trip to Jekyll Island. No signage, no visibility, no ambiance, no value.
We have had seafood towers on three continents and this was the worst. Here on coastal Georgia where shrimp and fresh seafood abound we were served the most overpriced and poor quality food we have ever had to pay for. Overpriced and unworthy of anyone's palate or pocketbook.
Jekyll Island doesn't have much to offer but this is at the bottom of the list.
I've never written a review before but this warrants warning others.
Lovely room, but very poor service. Food was average. My husband and I ordered a nice bottle of wine. The waitress brought it to the table already opened, poured 2 glasses and left. She did not pour a small sample to taste first. She came back a few minutes later and set the cork down on the table. She never touched the wine bottle again. We waited a good half hour for our food with nothing on the table to eat. No bread, crackers, anything. After food was brought, waitress never came back to ask how we were doing or if we needed anything. Food was ok, but nothing special. I would not recommend dinner here. We enjoy fine dining, but this was not worth the price. They need to train their servers properly.
I had an amazing experience for dinner at Corsair Restaurant. I was celebrating my engagement and the staff from the hostess, waitress to the bartender, made our dinner experience one we will never forget. I can't thank you all enough
Met friends for breakfast two days in a row. Great drinks and food. Sat by pool one day and inside open air the next.
Extremely accommodating management ; just ask Donna and she will assure that your dinning experience meets your expectations; also received exceptional service from our waitress, Gabrielle.
Everyone in our group of 8 enjoyed their meal. The service was perfect. I can't wait to go back and try what the others had next time, too!
Food was ok, but not for the price. Tried to order an after dinner drink- did not have Sambuca; tried for anisette, Uozo, and two other "licorice" cordials and they did not have them. same goes for Drambui and Gran Marnier.
Before dinner Beefeater martini was not beefeater. Tasted too flowery; probably Tangerey or Hendricks.
I believe Gabrielle was our waitress & she was just wonderful. All of her recommendations paid off (oyster appetizer and goat cheese hush puppies). Main course redfish was excellent. Nice live music with a calm ocean atmosphere. Thoroughly enjoyed!
We found hostess a little bit morose, not a happy smiley person you would expect! Our server was great! Food was ok but unfortunately my husbands yellow tail snapper was raw on one side. Fair play they comped us for it but he’d eaten one half before realizing so we were a bit concerned for his stomach the next day! All in all not too bad!
We ate here twice while on vacation in Jekyll. The service was wonderful, the food was delicious but definitely on the expensive side. Not sure if the value measured up to price but it was the best restaurant on the island as far as flavor and ambience and service. Great variety with healthy and delicious choices. Yummy fresh seafood. Def on the foodie side. Will visit again.
Had an early dinner with a friend here and both of us were pleased with the service and quality of food and drinks. We didn't feel pressure to eat and run, but instead encouraged to relax and enjoy. That was nice! Only complaint was price of the food which likely is due to being on a small island rather than anything else. Order the seafood pizza (really good!) and have a couple drinks.
While the food was good and the ambiance was very nice it was VERY pricey with a few add-on charges that were a bit unexpected.
Excellent place. Seems to be one of the more modern restaurants at Jekyll. Enjoyed it!
Came there for a birthday dinner. Everything was good just not spectacular.
Our favorite reastarant in Jekyll had been the Crane Cottage. We were so disappointed when they stopped serving lunch there and in the main Club dining room. Food and service at Crane were always 5 star in quality, but more than that it was elegant in a way that reflected another era. Corsair did not compare on either measure. I had a Mahi sandwich. I would have liked it blackened but that option was not available. But more importantly it was served in a bun that did not hold together. My wife’s fish tacos were OK but not great. We were in a group of six and everyone had the same opinion: OK but we would probably not come back.
Had a dinner with 8 clients. Food and drinks were great and service very good. I would recommend this restaurant.
Solid food with a great location. Great vacation restaurant.
Salt and more salt. The sliders and fries were so salty I did not finish. My wife did not finish her Ahi appetizer either. The pepperoni pizza that my daughter ordered was the best entree at our table.
Will NOT be back That statement is a first for me on open table
Our 33rd wedding anniversary!
We went in expecting ‘beach chic’ given the location, but it was more sports bar. We were placed between 2 TVs near the bar. No view of the sea. Overall a very casual / Family dining meets sports bar vibe. The food was good but basic- nothing special, and presentation was poor. For example Shrimp cocktail was shrimp on a dinner plate with 3 blobs of dips. The service was attentive, warm, and quick. It cost $200+ for three adults and two children. At that price I’d splurge on finer dining spots at jekyll. I would however go back for a beer and pizza (which was great), but only if seated outside or near the window. Again though- top marks for the service which was exemplary.
Disappointed. Over-priced. Took too long and food just okay.
This restaurant was just aok. Nothing special. Our wait person was not very knowledgeable about the food or wine list. It tries to present as an upscale venue but misses the mark by a mile.
staff was friendly. food was not good at all. Paid $50 a person for eater brunch. would not go back.
Beautiful contemporary setting. Fantastic musician playing guitar and singing. Nice menu, lots to choose from that were not just the fried fare that is so popular on the island.
Loud. Dinner ok.dessert good. Service good
This was our first time dining here. Our server, Kristine S., was very nice and friendly. We shared a nice greens salad to start. My wife ordered strip steak special and I ordered the shrimp and grits. Both of our meals were very, very good. We finished with a cappuccino and espresso coffees. We definitely recommend dining here.
First time there. Smoked oysters were amazing.
Restaurant was clean
Server was kind
Food was OK
Live Entertainment was excellent
Excellent food, a stand out of good ingredients prepared simply to bring out their best attributes without being fried or overly fussy. Fantastic whole fresh flounder and wonderful greens. Gabriella is a delightful and engaging server.
Great restaurant at the beachfront Jekyll Island Ocean Club Resort
We enjoyed our time at the Corsair. Service was efficient and fun. They kept us all satisfied.
Fantastic! Kristen, our server was very attentive and accommodating of our food allergies (gluten). The live music was perfect! I love that the garage door-style windows could let in a great beach breeze. The food was excellent and Corsair easily accommodated my allergy to gluten. We will definitely be back.
Beautiful setting. Food was interesting and good. Better place for younger set. Excellent waitress.
Menue was limited, sent back pork belly not impressed, but had wanted to try it.
