Good food. One of the best on the island. Gabby is a great waitress as well. We come by for dinner every trip.
We ate at Corsair 4 times and found the menu difficult for children and for anyone with food allergies. Also, extremely slow service and wait staff lacked knowledge about ingredients used in meals, types of fish, etc. staff was not well trained and had not tasted entrees. Most of my expensive entrees were excessively salted and if a substitution needed to be made due to an ingedient(food allergy) I was charged an upcharge, even if it meant it was a less expensive ingredient! Also, when you wait 40 minutes between courses, you should NOT be charged for a piece of bread! I love the area and hotel but I can’t imagine taking my children and grandchildren here for meals due to the delay in serving and the lack of kid friendly options and the expense! And I did stay at the hotel for 5 days. This restaurant was empty every night I was there. Minimal patrons and now I know why. Please more simple ingredients, with less salt.
What a wonderful evening! Our server, Jennifer was excellent and the food was awesome! The ambiance was second to none!!! We sat out in the screen in porch which had a great view of the their beautiful pool. What an excellent choice for a date night or special occasion!!!
Wonderful service even better food. Visually beautiful restaurant.
We had reservations for 7:30 but got there a bit early. We were happy to sit at the bar but our hostess said she could find us a nice spot. We sat overlooking the pool and near the live music. It was Valentine's Day and a perfect evening! The cocktails were wonderful, especially the handcrafted margarita filled with fresh ingredients, and the margarita pizza was awesome. We will definitely be back!
My wife and I took advantage of the Valentine Day menu offered at Corsair Restaurant. It was a three course meal and we both chose the lobster tail dinner with lemon risotto. It was delicious. We agreed that the portion at every stage of the meal was generous. In addition to the lobster, we ordered a garden salad and our dessert was cherry almond cheesecake. Reasonably priced; a great deal.
Our server was terrific as well as the local musician that played throughout our dinner.
A group of four of us went to Corsair for dinner on a Saturday night. The place is beautiful, the menu is great, the venue is amazing, and the cocktails were spot on. We will certainly be back!
We enjoyed an excellent lunch with good food and great service. Inventive menu with a nice spin on all the local delicacies. Beautiful setting overlooking the pool. It was a chilly day so we enjoyed the fireplace, too!
The service was slower than I would have liked, but the food was excellent.
This was my second visit to Corsairs and once again it did not disappoint. Our server Cathy was attentive without hovering. The food was well prepared and innovative. My shrimp and grits deconstructed salad was delightful but next time will ask for the dressing on the side there was just too much on the salad for my taste. My friend was over the moon with her burger. will certainly dine here again.
On arrival we were greeted with a Happy anniversary and we are so pleased that you chose to spend your special day with us. That was a nice touch and set the tone for the rest of our afternoon. The service by Beth was prompt and gracious and the food was somewhat innovative and quite tasty. The setting overlooking the pool is what I would call stylishly casual. We look forward to returning.
Very pleasant and honest staff. Our waitress Jennifer gave great descriptions of the food and her recommendations. Would definitely go back!!
Nice setting. Friendly, but after I ate the food, I understood why they had so little business. They are new, but they still will have to improve the food.
The food was excellent for both breakfast (Ducktrap Smoked Salmon) and dinner (Ga Shrimp & Grits). The service at the bar was very good. Chris was friendly, charming, and professional. The table service for evening drinks and for breakfast was quite slow. I attribute this to the restaurant and staff being so new. Overall, I really enjoyed the restaurant and plan to return.
p.s. The hush puppies were amazing!
We had Thanksgiving dinner at a price fixed of $40.00 each. It was a turkey rolled with a dab of stuffing and cranberry sauce. Turkey was a little tough but the candied yams were quite good.
restaurant was billed as fine dining. menu was appropriate but not setting! open restaurant between lobby, bar, & restaurant, along with concrete floors & shuffleboard made for a very loud setting. special fish was overdone so had to be returned. ambiance more like an Applebee's
This was our first time at Corsair and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious. I ordered the snapper and only thing bigger than the flavor was the portion. Jennifer was so nice and took excellent care of us.
We were so impressed that we booked an other reservation!!
It was great. Food was amazing, server had just the right balance from being friendly without overstaying her welcome. One of the best servers I’ve had!
I took my girlfriend for her birthday October 29th, and everything was perfect!!! No complaints whatsoever!!! She was immensely please with my choice in restaurants!!!
We came to Corsair for a business dinner while we were in Jekyll for a conference. The staff was extremely hospitable and said it wasn't a problem when our reservation for 10 became 16 right before we were seated. We split a couple of appetizers, including the mussels, and had to order extra after our main courses because they were so delicious. I highly recommend Corsair for anyone that loves seafood, although there are some non-seafood options like chicken and pizza. We will definitely be back!
