Awarded 3 stars from the San Francisco Chronicle for the fun, playful and elegent presentation of every day fare, Corridor's menu is expansive and refined. Excellent starter options, such as the crispy falafel croquettes with pickled onion and tzatziki and the roasted carrot and citrus salad with curry vinaigrette, make for ideal appetizers. Corridor Restaurant’s house specialty entrees, such as the Maine style shrimp roll with avocado and Old Bay aioli, the meatloaf wellington with truffle jus and the fall vegetable pot pie with roasted shallot cream, are as comforting as they are inventive.

There are two areas at this restaurant. The upstairs one is more upscale, whereas the downstairs is more casual. It wasn't clear from the photos which one was which, but I trusted the reviews. We ended up with a table for 6 upstairs and it was lovely. The waiter was exceptionally attentive and professional.
The only two things that I didn't like was that the sparkling water was $7 a bottle, and somehow we ended up drinking 4. And the salad my colleague ordered didn't look great. Too much iceberg lettuce.
The falafel and the drinks (they have great non-alcoholic cocktails) were exceptional.
my squid ink pasta was just a bit too spicy, but food was very yummy overall! Nice lighting and great service. I was not a fan of getting into the high, cold metal stools while wearing a mini skirt- but once I was seated they were comfortable
Modern, chic, hip, relaxed, trendy. Great location for Opera/Ballet/Symphony after.
Chocolate mouse was bland and decaf coffee maybe wasn't decaf? I didn't get to sleep until 3 AM!
Good wine list.
This is a delicious venue if you love fresh seasonal food. I've eaten here twice and LOVED their salads.
Excellent food, great service!
Good food, friendly service, mindful of theater start time.
I've been going since it opened and the food quality has remained so consistently great - hats off to the chef!
All 4 of us enjoyed our apps, salad and entrees. Lasagna and bolognese fabulous!
Service was impeccable. Scallops were perfectly cooked and had great flavor. All dishes were flavorful with high quality ingredients.
Good food and prices. Service was not the best. Hostess/waitress was not warm or hospitable.
Food was very good, however the menu is limited. Be sure to try the Monkey Bread.
A very nice, somewhat casual place with tasty interesting food. The service is a bit haphazard and the cocktail and wine selections are not quite up to snuff for San Francisco; but overall it is a good choice for a quick bite or a pre-performance meal.
Great mushroom soup (not sure why there was broccoli in it but it was so good I didn't care) - the 1/2 soup, 1/2 salad (the salad is HUGE) are a great bargain.
I brought 5 new customers and they all enjoyed the experience - mushroom soup, salads all great, thank u
Pre show dinner
the check in was quite disorganized but I like the restaurant for being low key and very convenient with adequate food fairly priced.
The food is always great here and the staff are top notch. I enjoy Corridor for lunch and happy hour on a regular basis. We had the falafel as an appetizer- very moist & flavorful. I ordered the Cobb salad which is always delicious. Highly recommend!
Good before or after the symphony, ballet and opera.
We dine at Corridor whenever we go to the theater nearby. The menu changes often so there are always surprises. We have never had anything but very good meals there.
We enjoyed the food , and the service was fine. Very noisy
Corridor is a convenient spot to grad dinner before a show. The food is ok and service is ok; nothing spectacular, but better than nearby diners.
Despite the mess on Van Ness, Corridor was easy to find & accessible. A last minute reservation turned out to be a very pleasant meal before our show.
it was ok, the place was empty and we were seated next to a first date couple that were annoying to listen to.
For $200, would have expected better food and presentation. Felt like we were being rushed.
Perfect place to have a delicious Valentine’s Day dinner a block away from SFJazz! Upscale simplicity with great location and great food
We had reservations at 5pm and a show to catch at 7pm. The staff made our experience very nice and made sure we were able to catch our show. The food was beautiful and delicious, the drinks were strong and classy.
Corridor is a wonderful spot for a meal before the symphony or ballet; the service is attentive and quick and the food is excellent.
Their chickory and citrus salad was delicious and plentiful - more than enough for 2 to share. Carrot risotto was also good. Truffle stuffed chicken was good and very moist but could have had more vegetables as an accompaniment. Salad and carrot risotto were both good values, the stuffed chicken not so much. Restaurant is conscious about timing if diners have tickets for a show in the area.
Wonderful food - you have to try the savory monkey bread! Staff is incredibly friendly & efficient! Excellent value especially for San Francisco! I highly recommend & will definitely be back!
A nice blend of casual experience and fine dining. The menu is limited in size, but the offerings were imaginative and covered a fair amount of territory. Not a vegetarian, I took a chance on the vegetable pot pie and was rewarded by a sizable bowl of steaming, crunchy vegetables in a savory sauce under a thin, well-browned crust. Even more exciting was the mixed salad with citrus--one of the best salads ever, anywhere. Even my guest's burger and side of meatballs were above the run of the mill.
Service could not have been more accommodating, and we enjoyed casual bits of conversation with our server.
This was my first time at Corridor and it certainly is a good pre-concert alternative. Food was very good. I only have 2 complaints:
1) the ambient noise level from the open kitchen and the exhaust fan made talking very difficult. The tables are long and of course with other tables talking that becomes an issue.
2) the high stools are very uncomfortable and impossible to move forward or back once seated. The feet stick to the concrete floor making one have to get off the stool to move it. And being metal they are just uncomfortable.
very friendly staff. fast accurate service. delicious food. will be back
The food and the service were very good. What ruined my experience was that a waiter (not our waitress) tried to get us to move after our appetizers from a two-top (facing each other deep conversation) - to a bench seat with both of us facing outward. I thought this was unprecedented and RUDE. Needless to say I didn't move but it really left a "bad taste."
I have eaten at Corridor several times and always liked it quite well. This time my meal was disappointing, very ordinary salad, cold squash soup. Perhaps I just ordered the wrong thing. Plus we were seated at a counter rather than a table. OTOH, I screwed up the VISA payment and when I called back, the problem was immediately and graciously solved. Much appreciated.
Three of us enjoyed a delicious dinner before the Symphony. The waitperson was friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, asked about our time constraints and had us on our way in plenty of time. I’m having dinner at Corridor tonight following the Chinese New Year concert at Davies. I’m looking forward to the scrumptious seared scallops!
Good food. Scallop and Black Ink Pasta was very good, but a little to rich for my palate. Pretty good atmosphere & service. We were about a ten minute walk to the theater.
We read the reviews for this restaurant and found them to be accurate. We picked 4 starters and made a meal out of it. More than enough! We had the salad, the meatballs (excellent), the calamari misto (really yummy), and the falafel croquettes (my favorite). He had beer and I had a glass of the pinot. We were so surprised to find a reasonable, fast, and tasty venue so close to Davies Symphony Hall. We will be back. It was also nice to be seated upstairs where it was a tad quieter. We hate loud venues because we are both soft-spoken and have to strain to be heard.
Very pleasantly surprised by the amazing quality and presentation of the food. But, this place is REALLY loud and that makes it difficult for pleasant conversation.
Convenient distance to Davis Symphony Hall, but too noisy, slow service, uninteresting wine menu,
Seated quickly, servers friendly and accommodating. Nice place
