The food at Coridor is consistently superior. The personnel make me feel like a super star. I am a huge fan.
Really great new spot! Better food than ALL of our regular pre-theater/concert spots in Hayes Valley & Civic Center. Service was good. The downstairs is a bar area and there's a small upstairs that's a little calmer for table seating. I had the carrot risotto and it was outstanding, and my cocktail was excellent too. Will definitely be going back next time we're in the area.
We had never heard of this place but were going to Davies Symphony Hall. The food was good....the menu was small but had good choices. The food was great. The Monkey Bread is a MUST! Service was top notch. It's a fun Bistro-ish place that can get noisy, but it's fun.
The food that we got was excellent- one of our appetizers had not come by the time our main courses were served, so I told them to forget it, which was frustrating. Other than that,
Great food nice server
I love this ace. Convienent to play, opera, symphony and ballet. Had the butternut squash soup for lunch. Excellent. Will he back on 12/10/19 for dinner
There was no chicken on my chicken Cobb salad - come on!
We ate before the SF Opera. The food took a little too long for us to enjoy before the performance at 7:30pm.
It was delicious once we got the good and the kids and we adults loved it!
My only critique is the TVs.
I don’t like TVs at a nice restaurant. It’s really unnecessary.
It’s not a sports bar.
I find them distracting & think they take away from the ambiance.
I did really enjoy the food and will come back again before a Symphony, Ballet or Opera performance!
Corridor serves fabulous food.
Absolutely fabulous ! Came here before attending performance at Orpheum Theatre and it was spot on for convenience and timeliness. Our show was at 7:00 pm so we made 5:15 reservations. Had just enough time to walk to the theatre, purchase a beverage and get in our seats.
I would highly recommend this restaurant! They were very attentive to detail, wished us a Happy Anniversary and even brought us each a glass of champagne to toast! The food was fabulous, without being overly heavy or filling. Loved it!
Owner greeted us and made us feel very welcome. Had a delicious carrot risotto. Perfect location for evening at nearby theaters.
Love corridor great food always. This was our 6th dinner there
Arrived a few minutes early for our 5:45 pm reservation. We were promptly seated upstairs. Even though the restaurant was relatively empty, we were seated at a counter and not a table (there were a couple of empty tables for two available). Even after 40 years, I still like to look my wife in the eyes as we dine out. Additionally, the chairs were not very comfortable. Other than that, the food and service were great and we had an enjoyable meal. But at the end of the day, when I spend $200 (with tip) for a meal with my wife, a table would be nice. I guess I could have asked to be reseated, however, they also could have asked me if a counter seat was alright and given me a choice. No big deal, but it's definitely something I would think about before returning.
Great service and great food. Thank you!!!
After acknowledging an error in seating the staff and management made certain out experience was all we anticipated. I had been there on three previous occasions and wanted to share a favorite with my boyfriend. We were not disappointed! The service was, as always, excellent, the food wonderful, and the efforts of the general manager to make sure we were happy more than we could have asked for!
We ordered two vegetable pot pies, one dish with scallops, and yet another.
All were very tasty and enjoyable. I still think the pot pie would taste better with chicken in it, but that is only my opinion.
Service was incredibly slow throughout the meal. Server fine. Is kitchen understaffed?
Menu showed a lot of creativity. Even for dishes that may not have been an ideal match for my taste, I was still impressed at the unique approach. Seafood pasta was a very interesting combination with more vegetables and a lot less sauce than one normally encounters, and it really worked. I'd go back.
We decided to make a meal of multiple starters, and every item was excellent. The server was attentive and thought through how to make the various items fit on the small table for 2, recommending the order in which the food would be served. All in all, an excellent dinner before theater. We will definitely be back!
Very accommodating when we upped our party size, and the food was delicious. A little pricey, and they put in a service charge for our large table, but it wasn't obvious it included tip already. Overall, great food and ambiance, though!
This time, it was just a companion and myself for a pre-opera dinner. The noise was very energetic (loud), emphasized sadly by a lady next to me who was talking very loudly. (it seems to be the norm these days that people just shout and talk extraordinarily loudly, inconsiderate and selfish as it may be). The monkey bread is delicious, as are the scallops and the chicken. The wines seem to be pricey - well, we are in the big city! The service was nice an very friendly. We'll be back
I was dining alone before a concert at SFJazz, and I was seated as soon as I walked in. The waiters were courteous and prompt. I had the roast chicken, and it was very good. The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of five was because of my martini. It was made well-enough, but the glass was relatively small. I don't expect a giant goblet for a martini, but I do like for there to be more than a couple of swallows. All in all I would definitely consider Corridor before more concerts at SFJazz!
Great for pre-performance dinner. Just a block from symphony hall and opera house.
Boring and bland. Our appetizer arrived with different ingredients, and the server did not bother to mention (no food allergies here but I imagine ppl with allergies might have concerns). Only 3 desserts none of which were interesting so we skipped them.
Ate before going to theater. Great location for the Orpheum. They were great on getting orders taken and food out. Asked if a specific time would be ok to be out the door. Exactly what we were thinking and they were perfect on
Timing. Menu good but limited. Portions fair in size. I liked it but wouldn’t make a special trip to the city to go there
We were able to book a table for a quick dinner prior to seeing Hamilton on Sunday night. My son was in a show in Sunnyvale that ended at 5:45 so we had precision timing to make the evening work and it went off perfectly. Our table was ready on time, the waiter was very efficient and knew we had a schedule, helped with choosing a delicious meal that would be fast too. Awesome evening and, of course, Hamilton was AMAZING too! Great location to enjoy prior to a show at the Orpheum.
Food was good, only The vegetarian pot pie was just ok.
We went here before the symphony. Service was fast. Food was tasty. The menu wasn't my favorite. We all have foods we like and dislike, and this menu didn't have that much that I wanted to try. The other two in my party loved their dishes.
Finally! A good meet up spot near to Bill Graham Civic Center before a show. The food was delicious and the cocktails tasty.
We were seated upstairs. We sat at a table for two next to a utility closet near the hallway which wasn’t ideal but ultimately was fine. Food was quite tasty (we got the chicory salad, scallops, and chicken). Service was friendly but slow, they seemed understaffed.
I went to visit during af Gourmet Walk at Hayes Valley and was thrilled by the food served that day. I therefor recommended the restaurant to a lot of friends and we visited a Saturday at 1pm for brunch. This was unfortuneally a very bad experience; we ordered from the brunch-menu, which was the only choice, we had. It took 40 minutes even though there were only few other guests. The food served was neither the fantastic, surprising or delicious experience as we had on the gourmet tour, which was a big dissapointment. We all left without finishing our meals, and was all very surprised by the turnaround from one week to another. Going back to Denmark the same evening, I was frustrated, that the last meal in San Francisco was such a big dissappointment.
My friends and I met up at Corridor after work. We work in the Civic Center area and thought we should give this place a try. We had never been but loved Corridor! Amir the manager was kind and welcoming. We ordered drinks, appetizers and dinner. The burger was delicious and perfectly cooked. Fernando was very friendly and made great drinks crafted with care. He even took the time to explain the ingredients in our cocktails. We were able to enjoy the Warrior’s game over a yummy meal. This place is highly recommended and we will definitely be returning soon!
Nice Happy Hour and dinner selections. Good efficient service.
Before Hamilton we had seats on upper level. Service was perfect. Drinks were good. Monkey bread was fine but not outstanding. The bolognese was very good. The steak was average. The cheesecake dessert was unusual and more like pudding with fruit sauce and graham cracker crumbs.
First, the entrees were all quite good. Disappointed in the limited menu choices and no off-the-menu offering. We're not by any means vegetarians, but there were very few vegetables in any of the entrees, aside from the carrot risotto which, while tasty and nicely prepared, was very rich. Too much cream? There are no starter or side salads either, which might have provided a bit more balance. We decided to share a dessert that sounded interesting, but it arrived frozen solid and required a sharp knife to make bits to sample. Some of it tasted good, but we felt it was misrepresented on the menu. In fairness, we didn't ask for a description of what they considered a "popsicle." Our server was excellent, and he treated us fairly re the dessert. This was our second time here (been a while, though), but not likely to return unless some changes are made.
Great preshow dinner before Hamilton. Fast, tasty food & friendly and efficient staff.
Fast and tasty: very small portions of meat (never seen a chicken breast so small and so dry!). Interesting combinations some work, some not so much. Works good for a quick bite before a show. Basic setting.
Great spot for a pre Davies or SF Jazz event. The service is excellent and the food interesting and tasty
First the restaurant is located on a horrible block. Second, it definitely has more of a cafe feel to it than a restaurant. Most of the tables were high tops. The staff while friendly were so understaffed you felt sorry for them. The food was meh. We will not be returning.
