Corridor 44 Ratings and Reviews
Tried several times (started 5 minutes prior to res time to 20 mins after my res time) to cxl reservations. The open table app wouldn't let me and said I needed to call. I was trying to cxl my reservation to make a new one somewhere closer to where I was due to heavy traffic and trying to get to a concert on time. I tried calling for 20 mins because it was the only way to cancel my reservation and no answered. I get that they were busy, but it was really awful that not only could j not cancel the reservation but i couldn't make new one somewhere I would've liked. In the end, my party waited without reservations for 30 mins and we missed 20 minutes of the concert.
Basically an acceptable experience, but not great. Three people ate, two very happy with the food quality the other not at all (scollops) A bit noisy, and ambience so-so. Service was quite good.
All in all, maybe a bit overpriced, and while I'm not particularly anxious to return, I'm not sorry we ate there.
Food and service were great HOWEVER we had a group of 6 (not huge really) and they are NOT setup for seating more than 4 comfortably in their main area. They attempted to place us in a booth that was clearly way too small for 6 adults (and seriously, we are not overly large people either but there was NO leg space in the booth). After a bit of cajoling they found space for us in the back room which basically is a bunch of couches and coffee tables. Since we were mainly planning on drinks and appetizers this worked out but if we had want an actual sit down dinner, it would not have worked. I love this place and have been here many times but would never come with a group larger than 4 again.
We were very pleasantly surprised by the quiet & privacy of this dining experience. When we were first seated, my husband said, "ooh, Valentines?" Very romantic. We both chose the Filet Mignon and it was cooked perfectly, however...the thing we talked about all the way home was "how did they make those potatoes??"
Disappointed with the service, but pleasantly surprised by our meal. There was no real conversation or interest in whether we were content. It took at least 10 minutes to order a drink and there was hardly a soul in the place. It was almost like the waitstaff was working in slow motion.
Great meal, everything went well. The venue is the problem. They appear to have 4 tables suitable for 4-6 patrons. These are in the bar area. Then a bunch of tables for 2 running along a wall--an area which gets a lot of traffic from servers and those using the restrooms .
Well, at least the place is appropriately named.
A great little restaurant. The food was better than expected. We went to have a couple fun champagne drinks but I would return for the lamb...it was delicious. The restaurant is elegantly decorated and the semi- private hall seating is wonderful for a date night out.
We felt like we were being rushed. The server forgot to order our appetizer. Our main entrées came really fast and we thought it was our appetizer. We quickly realized it wasnt. I ordered Scallops and risotto dish ($28) and it was served in less than 10 minutes. Risotto takes at least 20 minutes to prepare properly. It was covered in what tasted like cheese sauce put on nachos. Sat down at 6, dinner was over at 6:20; not the romantic Valentines dinner we expected. We left and headed to Jax's for champagne and oysters.
It was a great surprise. We didn't know what it was going to be like.
Food had a great price range. Something for everyone and very good.
Champagne drinks are wonderful. Service was wonderful. Great place
to be on a Friday evening. Better have reservations to get in this poping
We came here for my husband's birthday. We were seated at a booth in the corridor, which I was concerned would have too much traffic, but it wasn't at all disruptive. There are curtains between the booths that afford privacy and keep it quiet, and there wasn't that much traffic in the corridor. We got a free glass of champagne because of the birthday, which was a very nice treat and probably helped us decide to drink many more glasses. We ordered the mixed olive appetizer and were astounded at the enormous serving of delicious olives. We both ordered scallop risotto, which was also delicious. We had panna cotta for dessert, which didn't move me but I'm generally not a panna cotta fan. Our server was pleasantly attentive. We had a wonderful time!
Suggested this restaurant for a business dinner. There were 6 of us and they put us in a booth in the bar that maybe could have been comfortable for 5 people, so the entire meal was spent elbowing your neighbor. They maybe have one table that could accommodate a group and during our meal there were two adults and two small children taking the larger table. I was a little upset since we had made a reservation well in advance for our group, so wish they would have reserved that table for us. Overall, I would recommend the restaurant for a couples night out at a bar, but not for anything over two people and not if you are wanting a "nice dinner" out. More for drinks and small appetizer.
After perusing other reviews, I was a little concerned about service and food value. No worries, this place is a winner. Located between famed restaurants Rioja and TAG, Corridor 44 has excellent choices for champagne by the glass, flights, and bottles. We chose flights-domestic and French. Both choices were great value and taste! We chose the charcuterie for our flights, which were both quite good. For dinner, my wife ordered the lamb lollipops and I had the special fish option mahi-mahi, and we had wine by the glass for each dish. Service by Tabetha was attentive, swift and courteous. We could not be happier for this birthday celebration in Larimer Square!
I am a lover of champagne and was not disappointed, the French wine flight was great and very reasonably priced (but good luck getting more than just a tag with the names of the champagne). We were pretty hungry when we arrived, so we ordered 2 appetizers to start and then 2 main dishes to follow. The appetizers arrived and within about 2 minutes our main meals were delivered as well. We pointed out that we hadn't even started the appetizers and our waitress just shrugged and walked off. At a restaurant of this price point, I would expect that the wait staff would be trained to at least tell us about the meal placed in front of us and be able to space out the appetizer and main so that it's not all on the table at once. We also had to cancel a drink order because we wanted wine with dinner and had just ordered a cocktail. On a positive note everything we ordered was prepared very well, the wine/champagne selection was good and the dessert was yummy. As we were leaving, the bar area was hopping, so maybe popping in for just a drink is on order next time.
The food was good and we loved that we could get flights of champagne. However the service wasn't up to the standard of the rest of the place. We went for a Christmas Eve treat before midnight mass down town. Though we enjoyed the items we ordered our waitress was curt and seemed to lack interest in our table. She tried clearing plates we verbally told her we were still workin on and lacked any enthusiasm when answering our questions regarding champagne. Maybe if we had ordered a full on three course dinner she would have perked up? Hard to tell. When we gave her a card and a 50 to split the bill evenly she charged the card 43 while presuming the 7 dollars change on the cash was her tip. The card was returned but the change never was. Given that it was Christmas Eve we had planned on leaving a much more spirited tip given the holiday, however if 16% is all she thought of herself then who were we to correct her? I'm typically hard press to tip less than 20 percent- even when I'm frustrated with the service- a holiday however, I typically tip 50 or more depending on the service.
Great Champagne list and the bar is a nice place to sit for a cocktail. This isn't a restaurant. Go for the bar scene and maybe an appetizer, but not the food. The tables in the back in the hallway are easily forgotten, unless you are looking for a hideaway, it's not a very social place to sit. No atmosphere but people walking by to go to the restaurant. The food is an after-thought, overcooked and sloppy.
