Corridor 44 Ratings and Reviews
First, the booths were to close to the bathroom-unpleasant scents! Clean your bathrooms
and/or redirect the air from the bathrooms.
Second, we wanted to enjoy drinks, including a flight of sparkling wines before our dinner came. The dinner came BEFORE the bottle of wine (my wife was going to enjoy that before dinner) and before I had even tried the champagne flight. We felt like we were being rushed/herded like cattle on a busy Friday night.
Third, my wife’s lamb lollipops were tough and fatty, the kitchen did not trim any of the fat before grilling, inedible.
Fourth, all this for $150. Wow. Will not be back and definitely recommend against going here.
We have become accustom to a great meal and outstanding cocktails at Corridor 44 and this visit did not disappoint. The only negative was the service. Although the server was pleasant, she was not very attentive and at times neglected us all together. The other trait I find annoying at any restaurant is when the server is so obviously stressed that they don't really care about your answer to their question. Take a ten seconds, focus on your guests and at least act like you care and not like you can't wait to be off to put out the next fire. Nevertheless, we will absolutely be back.
Everyone liked the feel of this venue; energizing and fun but casual. It also has a great location, in the middle of Larimer's beautiful lighted section. However it is important to note, this place really is a bar, not a restaurant for foodies. Yes, the food is better than bar food, but not on par with Denver's better culinary experiences. Service was fine to good. She did completely miss a drink order, but they were busy, so I can excuse that. The bummer part however, was that although our table did seat 6, it was long and skinny and not conducive to conversation.
It was our anniversary! I told the hostess as we got to our table and she immediately brought us 2 glasses of champagne "on the house" so we would enjoy our evening.
It started off our evening in the perfect way. Then, all evening people kept saying happy Anniversary to us and making us feel so special. We shared a creme Brûlée that was DELICIOUS! And has another round of champagne. The ambience was perfect, the staff kind and friendly... it was the perfect evening!! I recommend Corridor44 for any and all occasions!!
Always terrific and fun with the large number of champagne cocktails. On Larimer Square, the outside seating is a great way to enjoy a cocktail and watch the people. Their Happy Hour food is excellent and also a nice menu if you stay for dinner. I always enjoy it!
I made the reservation for my daughter and her friend, both turned 21yrs this year. They go to college in separate states so i thought what a cool place to send these 2 "grown-ups".
The waitress wasn't very helpful, so they felt intimidated by it all. They had 1 flight, some small bites and left.
Waitress didn't mention the cocktails or even exactly what a flight was really. I know, not her fault necessarily, but since every time I've been there the staff was so friendly and helpful I thought the same for the 2 young girls.
We reserved a table for a party of 6 to celebrate a special occasion and were seated in a large booth that was too small to comfortably accomodate us -- we were literally thigh to thigh. To add insult to injury, it seemed that the air conditioner was not functioning correctly as we asked the waitress if she could turn it down a bit and she informed us it was as far down as it would go and she thought it was broken. The food was great. The drinks were great. After ordering meals and two rounds of drinks for the six of us, three people ate a cupcake that they had purchased at another establishment because they were literally melting in the box, and we were admonished for doing so and threatened with being charged a dessert fee. Seriously?!? After what we just spent there? There was no dessert menu that we saw or that was ever presented to us, or the rest of us who had not bought a cupcake might also have ordered dessert. Pretty chintzy, if you ask me, and left a sour taste in our mouths. Therefore, I gave them a 2 overall.
I always thought of Corridor 44 as a bar but we tried it for dinner and had a delightful experience! We went on a Sunday's night and it was quiet. We sat on the patio and had wonderful service. Our server was attentive, friendly and prompt. We ordered champagne flights which were fun and the food was surprisingly spectacular! My scallops were beautiful, and others in our party ordered the lamb lollipops and the filet. Everything came out together and prepared well. Generous portions, quality food and great pairings. We will definitely be back. A
First time here and we would go back. The restaurant is very cute with a perfect location in Larimer Square. We got the coconut shrimp apps, and then the salmon pasta and the scallops. Both were fantastic. We were too full for dessert, even though it all looked so good and took home a doggie bag. We both had glasses of champagne and our server was very helpful in going over the selections with us and helping us choose.
This was my second time at Corridor 44 and it is my new favorite restaurant. I can't say enough about this place! The food is outstanding and very well priced for its quality and the neighborhood. Drinks are great- they specialize in champagne and I like to get the splits, which are tiny individual bottles. It's got a great 1920s classy feel while not feeling stuffy. Our waitress was fabulous and so personable. Will be back lots!
On my visit last week to Denver, my daughter suggested dining @ Corridor 44. What a unique and wonderful surprise. An absolutely charming atmosphere, extensive wine, drink list--featuring some very interesting and delicious champagne cocktails. I ordered the grilled asparagus appetizer, which was wonderful, and for my main course the lollipop lamb chops. The chops had a cherry glaze and were by and large the best I have ever had. Or server was efficient and knowledgeable yet never obtrusive. I would definitely recommend Corridor 44 for a special occasion or just an everyday drink or meal. Thanks for a delightful experience!
We went to Corridor 44 before the opera at Ellie Caulkins, which is only a short walk. The bar area is quite nice and allows people watching along Larimer. There are very private 2 person booths in the back for quiet conversation. A very reasonably priced find.
After reading other reviews we were a bit hesitant but after our evening we decided the negative reviews were absurd. From the moment we arrived the hostess was very accommodating. We enjoyed a cocktail at the bar which was a great move as we thoroughly enjoyed our conversation with the bartender. Great guy. Then after being seated were given outstanding service with fantastic good. Our evening was perfect and will most definitely return. From the ambiance to the staff and good out of the norm fantastic we have found another gem in Denver.
This was my first time at Corridor 44 and I was looking forward to it. The service was great, the drinks were very good, the food was average. We ordered the croquettes, potato skins, and truffle fries to start. They were OK but nothing that made me want to come back and get some more. For my main, I had the lamb lollipops and they were 50% fat. I know that lamb can be less lean than beef or pork but literally half of it was fat. The flavor was good but it was a bad cut of meat. My recommendation is to go for the drinks but not the food.
