Since opening in 2009, our goal has been to create a place where people gather and relax. Our mission is to serve fresh up-to-date food and beverages paired with a comfortable environment. We believe we are on our way to accomplishing our goal, but continue to strive to do better. Our employees have become our extended family and have helped us to make Cornerstone a home away from home for all of our customers.

A Neighborhood Gem If I lived in this area, I would be here twice a week. Great atmosphere that combines neighborhood bar with date night vibes. Food is both comfortable and creative. Staff was working hard to get everything together given that half the restaurant had no power. Really an understated and overlooked diamond. Please patronize this special place.

Was very good. Food delicious. Good wine selection. Waiter was very good. We will definitely be back. I would say put a few paintings on the walls, but ambiance was still very nice. We had a great time. Thank you.

Our server was very good. She made recommendations for my friend and I and we were both happy with them! Our table was near the door which made for a cold dining experience. But, overall, a very nice meal.

The food is unique but not too fancy. Really good salads and ample portions. Nice liquor selection and the decor was comfortable with a wide mix of diners. The over all bill was a little pricey but the quality of the food was outstanding.

Birthday lunch. My first time there and the food was amazing. I had the Brussels sprouts, spinach artichoke flatbread with chicken and the salmon tacos all were amazing. I will be returning

One of the better meals I have had!!! We had a glass of wine to start. My wife had a Malbec and i had a Rio Tinto Rose. The Rose was excellent. We started with the spicy coconut mussels. In the past we had some excellent curry mussels when we were in Washington DC. We have tried others but none met the DC expectations. The mussels at The Cornerstone exceeded our expectations and may have been better than the ones in DC. I the had the beet salad, the mix of fried goat cheese, beets, fennel, pistachios and arugula with the light vinaigrette was amazing. I had the short rib Wellington entree. Again a home run, the serving was big enough that I took half home. It was served with mashed potatoes and parsnips along with garlic braised spinach. For dessert we split an apple bread pudding with a scoop of vanilla ice cream. A wonderful ending to a splendid meal!!!

Very pleasant experience. Both my date and I had the salmon and it was outstanding. Restaurant is intimate but not romantic. Very quiet. Overall a great community place to dine. Prices are in line with similar establishments.

Unfortunately we were seated at a hightop in the bar area and next to the dining room where a very loud party was being held. High ceilings and wood floors sent the decibel level into the stratosphere and meant our quiet night out was anything but. Food was very tasty -- but not memorable. I had the butternut squash salad with lardons and dried cherries. The kitchen kindly substituted the kale, which I dislike, for arugula and spinach. Salad was plentiful and tasty but the vinaigrette needed a bit more sweetness for my taste, and I would have preferred if the squash and lardons had been heated. I also had a cup of potato leek soup. A tad too much rosemary for my liking. My husband had the chicken chili, which he liked, and the burger (with gruyere cheese) with a side of sweet potato fries -- both of which were tasty. Burger done just right. Portions are excellent. Prices are reasonable. We'd like to go back and order other dinners -- but only when the restaurant isn't hosting a party.

My wife and I tried C.R. for the first time after a long work week for her. Hard brick walls reflected sound making it noisy. Food (Faroe Island salmon and flatiron steak) was tasty and delivered on time. Waiter was attentive. Ordered a dessert to share and the kitchen forgot the order. When finally delivered, the apple bread pudding with vanilla ice cream was tasty, although the bread seemed a bit tough. The manager did comp the dessert due to the delay.

We ordered the goat cheese appetizer and the Brussels sprouts… huge portions! I had the salmon for my entree and my husband had the lamb burger. We both cleaned our plates! Very good food and service.
