Corners Tavern Ratings and Reviews
I went to Corner's for the first rime and had an enjoyable time. I ordered a hamburger which was absolutely delicious! Great mixed drinks. Service was very attentive. I recommend this restaurant as a very good casual dining option though it is not inexpensive.
Always excellent food and service, this is my favorite spot downtown for lunch and I always come here for business meals. Menu is always updating and delicious with some favorite dishes that are always there as well. Great cocktail menu and wine list to boot.
Went for our anniversary. They had customized menus that said "Happy 23rd anniversary" for us when we arrived. We ordered the prime aged New York strip and it was awesome. An excellent value at $36, compared to a steakhouse which would charge at least $55, and it would be a la cart. Meal came with excellent mash potatoes and broccolini. We even got a complementary order of brussels sprouts. Why list has good choices in various price ranges. Our server, Mike, was very personable and made us feel very welcome.
We went here for the first time for an information Christmas Eve family dinner. Great service and informal vibe were nice. Food was very fresh and well prepared. They went out of their way to accommodate one of our party who is vegan. Will definitely go back.
Very cute setting and a convenient location, with the plaza shopping garage near by. There was a good selection of appetizers and entrees - everything we had was delicious! My only compliant was that we felt a little rushed -- our entree came out before we had finished our appetizer and cocktails. Everything else was wonderful and we will definitely be returning.
2 people in our group were 20 minutes late for the reservation and the staff was very gracious about waiting to serve us. The portions were generous for everyone. My hamburger was cooked as ordered and the sweet potato fries were crisp and non greasy. The rest of the group were satisfied with their orders. All the tables were full at lunch time so it is not the best time to hold any conversations as it is quite loud.
We met another couple there for a drinks and dinner to catch up on our lives. The drinks and wine were great. I ordered a Manhattan, chilled/up and it was mixed well but the glass was not sufficiently chilled and it got warm as I drank it. Not the best Manhattan experience. Food was very tasty, but small proportioned. My salmon filet was a bit small-but very good! The pork chop was better. This place on a Friday night was pretty loud (with the large doors shut). Many groups and mixed ages made it loud but not so you couldn't talk at your table. Server/service were excellent! This is a cool place in a good spot for downtown shopping/movies, etc. and was pleasant atmosphere for a nice dinner. The noise level was better after a couple larger tables cleared out.
Went for an early Sunday dinner after a show at the Lesher Center for Performing Arts. Wife had the pork chop, which was moist and delicious. Stepdaughter and I both had burgers, which were thick, juicy and tasty. Enjoyed the Track 7 stout, which is a dark stout bursting with chocolate and peanut butter (!). Dessert was also yummy (chocolate hazelnut ice cream sandwiches, white peach sorbet). Also nice is that early on Sunday PM beat the rush (which can get loud) and so we had a pretty quiet dining experience which was nice. Wait staff was quick, friendly and very helpful. Extra points for giving honest personal opinions about menu choices, which I always appreciate.
Thanksgiving dinner (lunch) with my 93-year old mom. The staff was courteous and helpful and the meal was excellent. The dessert was a little disappointing but other than that everything was spot on. This was our 3rd year in a row celebrating Thanksgiving at Corners!
