Foos is always good here. I hasd the battered flounder. It was good but too much potatoes. Fish was too small for the amount of potatoes. Server was very attentive.
Ate at CT 2 weekends in a row. Great gathering spot to catch up with friends and have a nice lunch 🥂🍻
The following are opinions. Three of us for dinner; first time here. 1 cup tomato basil soup; very nice, sweet, added some salt; better. A grilled cheese sandwich appetizer. Like Mom used to make (no great shakes but OK). Smoked chicken wings appetizer; dry and tough. Most pizza places do much better. Fettuccine with (4) shrimp. Would skip the shrimp next time; way too much of an addition to price for the number you get. Otherwise, average fettuccine. Halibut filet; decent size over rice. A bit dry, nothing special on seasoning or overall. Black mussels from appetizer menu. Large enough for wife's dinner. Probably best dish overall, though again the seasoning was lacking. Still, pretty good overall. Butterscotch pudding desert. Don't bother. Can make better at home out of the box. The two cocktails wife and son had were quite good. Bar the best reason to go here. Service was pleasant but stretched a little thin but overall competent. But this place needs a good cleaning. Lots of glass. The partitions between booths had glass tops. At least 30 sticky fingered little kids must have left their imprints on it, and it clearly had not been cleaned in a long time. Same with light fixtures and other surfaces. A real turnoff. Tab was $171 with 15% tip. Overpriced by at least 20% in my opinion. Many better places for the same or less money. Won't go back.
Definitely a local gem, although I'd rather not say that too loudly, as the crowd will increase :) Very good food with ample portions; bartender mixed great drinks & was not chintzy! Service exceptional! Love the atmosphere. I called it a refineded pub, felt like I was on the British Isles. QUIET music, not obnoxious loud sh_t blasting in our ears; conversation wasn't a struggle, this was a REAL plus!!!
We were visiting from Texas and had a great meal. Nice atmosphere . Maybe a little to close to the table beside us. Interesting menu did deliver .
Chicken and Waffles was good and my wife had the Corner Burger which was also great.
It was hot and there were flies in the building. Very uncomfortable.
Seriously and unpleasantly loud from the bar side. Could not have any decent conversation at our dinner table on the farthest wall from the bar because we had to virtually yell to be heard. Great food, great service, but so very very loud. I am not sure I would go back for dinner.
Corner’s Tavern has long been a favorite of my wife and me. Great service and a casual yet beautiful space. You do need to time your visit as there are specific lunch and dinner hours with a reduced menu between. Still, always great choices and wine selections.
My only complaint is for the pastry chef. The amazing hamburger they produce used to be my wife’s favorite go to meal. But, she has a sensitive to pepper; anything spicy. So, the restaurant decided to put black pepper in their potato-rosemary buns. What??? Why?? That essentially took her favorite off the menu due to a change in receipt. Drop the pepper. It is difficult enough to dine these days due to the apparent need to spice everything up... BAM! Consider there are people that just can’t eat spicy and shouldn’t have to search a menu for the few options that aren’t kicked up with habanero this or chipotle that. To me that just hides poor preparation.
Excellent food .. Chicken & Waffles 👍🏻
Friendly service, great summer night outdoor dining.
Food was very good - server(April) was friendly and very accommodating- only complaint was bar service, which was very slow and attributed to a new bartender.
This was an anniversary celebration and we enjoyed our evening
I thought the hostess was very easygoing, we moved from a table to the lounge. Never knew who our server was nor did she check on us after taking our order. Had to flag her down for the check. The decor and open outside view was awesome. Food was okay.
Food was excellent and the service was spot on. Never had to wait for anything and server checked in with us just enough. Great experience!
Salmon is always too salty. I keep forgetting not to order it. I’ve found other food very salty here as well.
We loved the small plates. Absolutely delicious. Great open air atmosphere. We had a wonderful date here. The personalized charcuterie board was a must! Also be sure to get some sweet potato fries.
A great place for casual dining or to celebrate a special occasion.
My co-worker and I both ordered salads. We wondered why the waitress did not offer us bread. We kind of forgot about it . . . but then, later, I noticed a large island/service area in the middle of the restaurant that contained ONLY bread. So, I'm still not sure if we were supposed to help ourselves or if the waitress just forgot to tell us about it. Or what? It was still a good lunch and we were happy with the experience but the situation with the bread seemed a bit unusual.
This was a great find. Loved the atmosphere, service and food all excellent.
We took the family out for dinner including our 3 year old granddaughter. All were happy. All were well fed and the food was creative and delicious.
This restaurant is a favorite stalwart for Sunday Brunch. Consistently great food and service plus an ideal location make it fun memorable and worth repeating.
This restaurant is very well situated and has a diverse menu of continental/American style food and drinks at relatively reasonable prices. Portions were more than adequate, taste and presentation good, and food properly cooked. Service was friendly, though not attentive. Downsides of the restaurant were the noise level (very hard to hear people talking) and the closeness of tables. Interior is not particularly attractive.
Not sure if it represents a much better choice than other places in the area like Pacific Catch or Stanford's (across the street), but it deserves consideration.
Assess didn’t seem too interested in service, are usually don’t say anything If service is a little off. However, he just seems irritated from the very beginning and matter what we asked for
Nice cocktails, great food, great service. Alway consistent. Each time at Corners is always a good experience. Thanks!
LOVED Corner's Tavern! Very trendy yet chill ambiance, plenty of space (especially at the bar), delicious seasonal food, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Good for pretty much any occasion.
We enjoyed our luncheon very much Service was very good.
Always the best...❤️ The menu is so creative and so are the cocktails.
Ugh. So aweful. Don’t go. Aweful food. Aweful service.
We've been here several times in the past and have always enjoyed our meal. My only complaint is that they no longer offer those delicious donut holes with the bourbon dipping sauce. We were disappointed about that. Otherwise, we had a great meal and great time.
The food has gone down hill.
Service was outstanding.
Steak was perfect, vegetables cooked perfectly too. Went on a Sunday night so it wasn't as noisy as it usually is. Great service!
We really enjoyed our experience at Corners. The food and the service were fantastic. We will definitely be back.
WHAT A DISAPPOINTMENT! POOR SERVICE!
We dined at Corner's Tavern this past Saturday and it was a truly disappointing experience!
Three of us ordered the Steak and Fries medium rare. One of the steak dishes was overcooked (well done about one inch from edge around the entire steak). I asked the server (JESSICA) if they would redo the dish and she was adamant and repeatedly indicated that it would take too long! "IT WOULD TAKE TOO LONG"!!! I wondered how long does it take to cook a medium rare steak!
Unfortunately, she didn't make any attempt to make it right! She never came back to check on us! We never saw her again! Also, we brought a bottle of wine which she opened and poured the first round and after that never checked on the wine nor poured it! Corkage was $20.00 and we did our own pouring! In addition, I ordered a glass of wine for $17.00!
On top of this entire disappointing meal and service I still left a $15.00 tip! This isn't much to leave but it was a way indicating how disappointed we were.
We are not a confrontational lot. We expected to have a nice day with a nice gathering and enjoy our day with food and wine but were very disappointed!
I am wondering now if Corner's Tavern is a "hit or miss" type of restaurant? You use your own judgement; if you dare!
Wasn’t as noisy as we have experienced.
Great local and hip spot. Interesting food, friendly service, and great drinks. Love it!
Food is not good. Fried chicken was greasy and tasteless. Waffles were soggy.
The staff was amazing with our food allergies and the waiter was very knowledgeable with the menu.
Good place but really really noisy. The staff accommodated is with the quietest both. We had starters for dinner and there was a great selection to choose from, but the chef might want to check his/her use of seasoning. We had to send the peppers back as “too salty to eat” and my companion bit into a chili in the shrimp that left her in tears. The waitstaff were great.
We always enjoy the food here. Are waiter Will was great.
Descent place fo everyday dining
