I love Corners but am disappointed with the menu changes. The recent night I was there, the menu items I have loved were nowhere to be seen. My favorites were the halibut and flounder. Also missing was the pork chop. Please bring these choices back!!!!
Always a great place for good meal with friends. But what is wrong with you people who think it is acceptable to bring a screaming brat out to dinner with you. Hire a sitter for that brat and everyone, including yourself, will have a better doing experience!
Enjoyed a really tasty lunch with my niece celebrating her birthday!!
We enjoyed the roasted brussel sprouts, the broccoli parmesan soup, and the warm bread. My friend loved his Ruben sandwich; I ordered the deviled eggs appetizer for my main course. The "caesar salad" included with the eggs was actually just a few shreds of lettuce. But overall we enjoyed our first time at this place. Will be nice to go back when the weather is nice and the doors are open.
For lunch is fine but our server was not too friendly and our food tasted like it had been prepared in advance and re-heated. The pork chop was really hard to chew and the salmon was dry on the outside. The brussels sprouts were delicious.
Food is fresh and well prepared. Our drinks arrived immediately after we ordered them, which is always nice. Server was very attentive without being pushy.
Birthday lunch with family including our 7 week old grandson. Couldn’t have worked out better for our party. Roomy and lively atmosphere, great service and excellent options on the menu. We all enjoyed our food incl shared Brussels sprouts and deviled eggs.
Went out late-ish on a recent Saturday night for girls night out. We had a table reserved but ended up moving our party to the bar as a result of all the little kids eating in the dining room. It was like Chucky Cheese in there! Seriously, I expect it at lesser restaurants, but Corners Tavern used to be sophisticated.
Good food great staff friendly atmosphere
The pork chop and scallops were perfectly cooked. The food came out very quick.
Why did I not get OpenTable points? Please credit them to my account.
Though the service was a little slow to start it was eventually attentive. The food was outstanding. I had scallops which were perfectly cooked and absolutely delicious. My husband had chicken and dumplings (potato gnocchi) which was equally delicious. Followed up with Butterscotch pudding which was a nice adult nod to a childhood favorite. The ambiance was relaxed and inviting. It was a very pleasant evening out.
Great food. The pork chops are soo good.
We ame here for Valentines Day. Really appreciate the ambiance and food good overall. The service was unfortunately really rushed and detracted from the overall experience. There were open tables, so it didn't seem necessary to try to get people in and out. Overall, I like the place and the ambiance, but was disappointed by the service.
I have frequented Corner's Tavern since it's opening many years ago. It's a fantastic location and attractive space. It has a great footprint for an amazing dining and drinking experience...however...both the food and service have slowly slipped over the years. What you are getting here in terms of food and quality is expensive pub grub. You are paying for the aforementioned atmosphere but it is a shame that ownership has not invested as much in their food and service. There is nothing terribly wrong with either but it's just, well, okay. I do hope that new ideas reinvigorate the restaurant and soon.
Valentine’s Day with my sweet heart. Service somewhat hurried. Shared a Caesar salad and deviled eggs. Main course of lamb of rack was excellent.
We dine here reasonably often. The food is excellent as is the service. My rack of lamb had been grilled perfectly. My wife very much enjoyed her roasted broccoli and Parmesan soup after starting with the secret shrimp. Good, interesting wine list; great beverages (I like the Manhattan). Our server went out of her way to remedy the slightly too-sweet vodka gimlet my wife ordered. It's a great place and we know we'll be back. Go there!
Nice place with a good menu. Not as casual as I thought it would be. The food was delicious and we will go back again.
Ambiance and service are good, but food is subpar. Presentation is good but food is under seasoned and underwhelming.
After reading the reviews we decided to try Corners Tavern. We were pleasantly surprised how good the food and service was. Many options to chose from in the menu and a pretty good wine list too. Service was really good as it was a quiet night when we were there.
The only opportunity for them would be to keep their website menus current with the menus at the restaurant especially with the wine list
We will definitely go back
The place was not very busy, especially for the time of day. The place is has weird "art" on painted the wall, the service was not good at all. I ordered the pork chop and did not finish it because as I was getting close to the bone it started getting bloody looking like it was undercooked. I'm sure it wasn't, but I had lost my appetite by that point.
I had eaten at Cole's chop house in Napa a couple weeks previous and got the chop there. It was so much better, both in presentation and taste and did not cost any more.
I have eaten at Corners Tavern twice in several months - both times for dinner.
The food was delicious.
The wine selection was very nice.
The service was great.
We were seated at a quiet table per our request and were able to talk to each other without yelling - how delightful :)
We will return and we will bring our friends - thank you for the lovely evening !
Very good food and decent selection. Plan to go again.
Very nice as always. Loud as always.
They are so consistent concerning quality of their food and service. It's a great, convivial and relaxed atmosphere, but they always pay attention to the details that refines the overall experience of eating here. That's what keeps me coming back.
Excellent ambience, food and service. Table was prepared in advance per my reservation request. This is my third time to this restaurant when I'm traveling on business and taking customers out for dinner. I will return again.
Given the atmosphere, location, service, and perfectly curated menu this has become my "go-to" restaurant when I'm dining with friends in Walnut Creek. By "perfectly curated menu" I mean that the variety and number of choices feels perfect.
Always a pleasure
Great casual yet "feels fancy" place to go for a group!
Good Food but too pricey. Was at least expecting more food for the price.
I think $200 for dinner for 2 people is too much.
My spouse took me for my birthday. Very nice restaurant and decor. We sat at the bar to take advantage of Happy Hour and received great service by both bartenders. Drinks and food was very good! I had a great birthday evening @ Corners Tavern.
Good food, service, comfortable setting
A return visit with a friend for Sunday brunch. Such a great spot! We shall return.
Just meh, which was disappointing, especially with the higher price points. My fries were cold and the burger was just ok. Bar area is super cute, so would maybe just go for a drink....
My friend and I had a lovely Sunday lunch where we could catch up after the holidays. The food was delicious with generous portions (which were turned into a take-away). The wait staff was very friendly without being intrusive. Everything seems to be done with care at The Corners.
We will be back.
Very small table....They weren’t willing change tables even though there were other tables that were empty.
We had dinner and most of the tables were still empty.
It will be a long time before we go back
Not much for vegetarians. Very noisy at 6:30 p. As with almost all local restaurants their non-alcohol drinks are bar mixes - zero quality fruit juices.
Food was tasty, and had character. Server was excellent, friendly. The only negative was that it was really loud.
This is one of our favorite places to go. Food is really good. Fries are good. Very convenient when you have dogs with you.
