   We were celebrating a special day and approaching the restaurant which is embedded is a neighborhood of Wilkes Barre PA, a bit off the beaten track, having chosen the restaurant based upon the reviews of others, it did not look like a foodie type of place.... However, the food was very good. We shared a calimari appetizer which was bountiful and not greasy at all. Dinners came with a house salad which was nice and fresh and again ample with the 'house' roasted red pepper champaign vinaigrette - which was lovely. I could not resist ordering the intriguing peach whiskey pork loin. Roasted in a bacon wrap it was moist and flavorful. Really one of the best pork meals I have had. Mrs. had mild fra diablo seafood mélange including two small lobster tails, clams, shrimp, etc. Seafood was good and not at all fishy, not even one bite. But the Linguini over which it was served was delicious. A firm pasta cooked perfectly 'al dente' with their gravy, mild fra diablo, made the dish. We would go again. The only downside is that the inside bar part is a bit on the dark side and the outside which includes a large tent in the parking lot leaves you looking mostly at the rest of the parking lot. In good weather there is an in-between patio that would give a more attractive setting. The food way overcomes the lack of a view. Again, we will go back. Cheers

   Everything was excellent. The crab cakes are delicious. Best I've had in a very long time. My husband had the seafood paella. Always enjoy dining here. Always consistent food and service.

   We walked in to hear staff complaining about being short staffed. We had to seek out someone to seat us. Once we were seated about 10 minutes went by before anyone acknowledged us. 30 minutes later we were still waiting on drinks so we just got up and left.

   We were surprised with the location and the actual bar/restaurant setting. Especially since this is ranked above Ruth Chris steakhouse. Not really a restaurant per say. Patio area is on a slight slope which certain tables are on a tilt. Service was good. Food was great.

    Poor experience. Waitress didn’t want to be there so dishes never cleared- drinks slow. Kitchen extremely slow- when food finally arrived it was cold and fair at best.

    Reservation was 12:00. We looked at menu and ordered. We had appetizers, salad, soup, entrees and dessert. We asked waitress to slow down the food but they kept bringing it. Our table was small, up against a wall. We didn’t have time to digest our food. It was not crowded at that time and they had a large tent in the parking lot with tables. We were outside by 1:15.

    Extremely long wait time for food. Appeared staffing was appropriate. Drinks were excellent, and food was good once served. But from start to finish over 2 hrs for dinning experience.

    It was a very nice neighborhood restaurant and bar. The staff was very friendly and attentive. The food was priced as upscale but hit closer to home cooking. There was nothing to complain about it just wasn’t wow. We will likely go back just with adjusted expectations.

    Awesome! Great food both quality and quantity. It’s worth the price. Sometimes you go to a nicer restaurant and pay high prices and get small portions. Not here! Worth every penny.

    Visiting Wilkes-Barre for concert at Mohegan Sun Arena. Saw Cork reviewed on TripAdvisor. We were so pleased! Will recommend and will certainly return!!

    Food was great, Drinks were great, service was something to be desired. Our food took way to long, orders were placed at 6:30pm entrees didn't arrive until after 8:00pm, our server was not very friendly, caught the eyerolls from her a few times, never came back over to let us know food was delayed, which my party was understanding because we all have worked in the food/beverage industry, so we know how it goes, BUT just communicating the delay's would have been appreciated. One entrée and our 2 rounds of drinks were taken off the bill which we were not expecting but it was appreciated. We will be back because the food was great!

    Was in town for the weekend, found this place on Open Table, a very nice hostess attended to our reservation, and had a table ready within a few minutes of our reservation. Service seems to get confused as they forgot our appetizer or served it to an adjacent table. The sirloin steak I ordered was incredibly tough to cut through so I sent it back. Service was slow and a bit confusing during a busy night, my wife's meal was very good so we shared. The waitress was apologetic and very helpful, In the end, they comped our meal and gave us a $50 gift card, so it seems they are very concerned with a great experience, unfortunately not us our first time but I would certainly go there again.

    For the prices they are charging, the food, atmosphere, and especially the service are not up to par. They will not have your reservation that you made on this site, the hostess and the waitress were not very helpful or friendly. We had to ask for bread, although other tables didn't need to. The inside is just a small bar, no tablecoths decorations on the few small tables they had along the wall. The atmosphere will remind you of an Applebees. My wife and I were in a tent outside, that was decorated and heated, but next to a parking lot and the headlights bothered us all night. The chairs out there are also uncomfortable, and since it's all on asphalt, the tables and chairs weren't level, and I was sitting at an angle with a wobbly table all night. Price for 2 entrees, 1 drink and 1 dessert came to 102. Way too high a price for this food, this atmosphere, and poor service.

    Parking was extremely difficult. The hostess was very abrupt and unfriendly. She sat us outside in a tent (part of the previously mentioned parking lot) next to the tent opening that was tied open. The weather was in the low 30’s. Everyone in the tent had a coat on. We asked for something inside and she was very bothered that we asked. We were moved inside without argument but with attitude. The wait staff was unorganized and marginally professional. While we understand the instigator as a whole is short staffed, the service came up short. For a fine dining restaurant, the servers were not dressed appropriately. The food was good, and this is the only saving grace. We will not return. We would prefer to spend our money at a restaurant with a better ambiance and service.

    My husband and I found this restaurant on Trip Advisor while traveling. It is definitely a hidden gem. We arrived 45 minutes early and were given a small table upstairs. The drinks were wonderful and the bar tender knew what she was doing. I had the fresh sea bass which came with a nice portion of sweet potato risotto and green beans. My husband had the shrimp and crab pasta dish. Both servings were quite large and allowed us to take home leftovers. Salad was fresh and tasty. We would definitely return. Only downfall is noise level was high in the downstairs bar. Would suggest sitting upstairs

    The short version is that the service is shameful. We had a reservation, and were not greeted by anyone for 10 minutes. The female bartender ignored us, and multiple waitresses walked past us (annoyed that we were seemingly in the way). When we asked if we were in the right spot for the hostess, the bartender told us “wait your turn”. We eventually were seated in a “heated tent”, since “we don’t have enough tables inside tonight”. When making the reservation, there was no option to choose between indoor or outdoor seating (nor any mention of outdoor seating in general). Once seated, it took another 30 minutes for a waitress to come over and ask if we had been waited on yet. Then another 5 minutes for her to return to take our order. 35 minutes after that, we still did not even have our drink order, let alone a glass of water or the bread basket the hostess had said she was going to bring over when we were first seated over an hour prior. Another couple in the tent had already left the restaurant during this time, due to lack of service and the cold. The couple seated next to us at the same time had only gotten their drinks (which they had ordered themselves from the bar). A waiter from another section (who was very attentive to his own tables) came over to ask if we were being waited on. We told him that our order had been taken now 40 minutes ago, and we never saw the waitress again. He offered to check into things, but we told him we would rather cancel our order and leave, since we were also cold from sitting in the “heated” tent in 15 degree February. This waiter was very kind and apologetic, even though he had nothing to do with the situation, and even offered to have the general manager call us. It’s a shame, because the menu looks amazing! And the food being served to the other tables in his section looked equally amazing. So, if you ever do dine at Cork, I hope your waiter is that attentive gentleman!

    The evening started out badly due to the challenging parking situation making us 5 minutes late for our 6:15 reservations but no problem Upstairs seating was great Greeted by server immediately Appetizers were delicious as were drinks and salad We then waited till 7:45 for entrees to be served Actually had to get as takeout as we were now late for a show Great place except for that major problem

    First time dining at CORK. For the price, food, service, etc. was average. Great ambiance for a date or dbl date. Did not feel like an upscale dining experience.
