Cork & Flame can trace its history back to 2004 when Roger Strohl opened The Vineyard Wine Market. After a successful 13 years, The Vineyard has joined forces with Chef Justin Hayes and partners to form a unique combination of fine dining, tapas and wine market, offering customers a single culinary experience. In addition to the fine dining, tapas and wine market, the Cork and Flame hosts wine tastings, wine dinners, and private party events.

    Overall, it was a fine place to eat. You have to pay for "bread service" with premade heated-up rolls, once they were gone, no one asked us if we wanted more bread. The venison carpaccio came with 5 small slices of venison, my $60 ribeye was served with 2 pieces of asparagus and THREE fingerling potatoes sliced in half. My girlfriend's $50 filet came with the smallest amount of mashed potatoes I have ever seen a steak served with, and also 2 pieces of asparagus. The food tasted good, but the value is lacking.

    The atmosphere, food and service were amazing! The crispy brussel sprouts were my favorite and my filet was perfectly cooked. I ended my meal with the Sticky Toffee Pudding- so good! Perfect evening for our anniversary celebration!

    I was celebrating my mothers birthday. The server made her feel like a queen. He explained the menu and inquired about her taste and made recommendations. It was hilarious watching her enjoy that Tomahawk size chop. All staff were attentive to our needs during the meal and the night ended with an awesome apple pie desert. Overall Excellent Night

    Visited this restaurant for a birthday dinner. Very disappointing experience. Not the gourmet experience we were expecting. Filet mignon ($48) lacked of flavor and was sort of dry, scallops ($47) were undercooked., the cocktails were just OK, nothing special about the bread or dessert. We arrived at 4:55PM for our 5PM reservation, we were at out table at 5:08PM and main course took 45 minutes to be served (we did not order any appetizers) They did not charge for the scallops and provided free dessert for the birthday person.

    We ate at this restaurant when it opened years ago. Thought it would be better since they have a new chef...it wasn't. Drinks and wine was excellent. (To be expected since Roger's wine store is connected to it.) Server acted like she didn't want to be there. Nerve a smile the whole night. Amuse bouche was a little spoon with honey. What? Oysters were tiny! Smallest I've ever seen. But they were very good. Had to ask for some crackers to go with them. Took way too long just to cook a steak and be served. (almost and hour). And there weren't many people in the restaurant so no excuse. They are great on presentation but so-so on the food. (Bison steak was tough and cost $58!) Waitress never returned to ask if we needed more water. Desserts were so-so) Ended the meal with a disgusting pile of blue cotton candy!!! Really? Never a "Thank you for coming" from the waitress.

    Since meeting the sommelier Goncalo each and every experience here has been fantastic. He is so knowledgeable and full of wine passion that I feel I am transported to a different country with every dinner. The cuisine has been spot on and we have become regulars, visiting almost weekly. The waitstaff is impeccable and I love the fact that everyone makes us feel right at home.

    Service ( not the waiters fault) was poor. One of our group had to wait at least 5 minutes after the others had been served. $8 for 4 small rolls seems to be excessive. Most top resturants serve the bread free. We were not told there would be a surchaarge if you used a credit card. Overall the food was very good. Would I return? it is a tossup!
