*Please note that it is against Cork & Flame policy to allow outside food to include cakes, etc. Our culinary team would be delighted to customize dessert accommodations for your occasion! Call us for more information.
Our server, Jack, was phenomenal. The food was outstanding. The only blip in our experience was having to wait for thirty minutes past the reservation time in the wine store which was full of people and very hot.
Otherwise it was a fabulous dining experience
Good Evening, thank you for your review! I am so sorry you experience a delay in seating; we do our absolute best to anticipate the times our guests' will stay with us, however it's not always 100% correct. We are so thankful for your patience and understanding, and very happy that you were able to enjoy yourselves regardless of the wait! We look forward to seeing you again soon :)
We enjoyed our food very much! Good quality.
Service was good except for the bar turn over for our drinks.
Very very slow. My husband was brought a warm beer! We were disappointed about that.
We know it wasn’t the servers fault and we did not penalize him for it.
It looked as though there was only one bartender.
Please get more when needed especially on a Friday and Saturday night.
Hello!! We are so glad that you enjoyed yourselves! I am so sorry about the wait for beverages. We typically do have at least 2 bartenders on the weekend nights, however one of our bartenders was called to duty with the National Guard to assist with relief efforts due to Hurricane Dorian. I wanted to extend this explanation in hopes that you will join us again join us again on a Friday or Saturday evening soon!! If you see Tarvoris, let him know you missed him that evening - I know we sure did!
The drink I was served was so small It
was worth having. I asked the waitress
about the size and she shrugged off
Loved the 4 course menu choices and the wine pairings were just right.
I took myself out for a solo birthday dinner. The suggested fish and risotto was amazing. The red blend wine was delicious as well. The flourless chocolate cake for dessert was divine! The service was attentive but not overly so. The ambiance created an enjoyable dinner. I will be a return diner!!
Our waiter was the best part of our experience. He was extremely knowledgeable and very attentive. My meal was great & cooked as ordered but my husband was not impressed with his similar meal. We both ordered ribeyes cooked medium. Both appeared to be medium (pink inside), but his was difficult to cut & tough. On a good note, I was pleasantly surprised by my sweet cream Brussels side dish and our dessert was so delicious. We had 2 desserts that we shared. Chocolate tart and a deconstructed apple pie. We would definitely come back to eat here, but I don’t think my hubby would order the steak again.
We enjoyed our dinner here very much. It was a great place for date night. I would not consider it a tapas place, however. They have a first course, that was described by our server as an appetizer course, and I’m guessing that’s what they are calling tapas. There were about 8 items to choose from on that list. We would have preferred a larger selection for that course, especially if we were going to order multiple items off of it, like you would at a tapas restaurant. The second course was a salad and bread course. We ordered the Caesar salad and it was delicious. For the entree, I really liked that you could build your own entree, if none of the listed entrees suited you. However, I would have preferred if I could have substituted one side out for another (you can’t do that) on one of the entrees listed. The desserts were very tasty as well. Overall, it was a great dining experience and we’d like to go back again
Hi Rachel - Thank you for taking the time to post your review, we are so glad that you enjoyed your visit! Our first course section on the dining room menu only has select items from our tapas menu, however our full tapas menu is available at the bar area and in the Wine Market. We also host happy hour with specialty pricing on a few tapas as well as drinks! That is Monday-Thursday 5pm until 7pm. We would love to have you join us for that - we look forward to serving you again soon!
The service was excellent, as was the food. I did think it was a bit expensive.
Everything was terrific from the service to the presentation! Cork & Flame never disappoints!
We had a reservation at 7:30, but we’re not seated till 8. The food combination is different, but not worth the price.
Was our second visit, had a reservation & was seated immediately. The service afterwards was not so good. The place was busy but I think our waiter was new or inexperienced. It was a good fifteen minutes before our drink order was taken and probably another ten until we got them. Once we placed our food order things rolled right along. The food was just just as good this time as it was the first, which is what brought us back. All considering, it was a good evening and I will come again and recommend to our friends.
Best Mediterranean salad I’ve ever had! Service was impecable. Our server was attentive but not intrusive. Creme brûlée was perfect. Crunchy and served on fire with marinated cherries. Mussels were excellent cooked increme wine and garlic. Reservation made on Open Table and ghry tookus the minute we walked in...no waiting.
I had the vegetarian 3-course dinner. It was all original and delicious. I definitely plan to go back.
Good food and service however it felt dark and crowded.
We loved this little spot. It is in the center of a strip mall but you can tell by the outside that there is something different about it. You enter thru a cool little wine shop and the atmosphere is great with a nice little bar area. A nice menu and variety. Loved the specialty drink that was available the night we went. Will be back for sure.
Amazing and wonderful as always!!!
We are never disappointed at The Cork and Flame. I had the amberjack that was to die for. The fact you can buy a bottle of wine at the associated wine store and pay a minimal corkage fee means you have a huge wine list with Chelsea and Roger to guide you with their encyclopedic knowledge and pay much less than you would normally in a restaurant. A brilliant concept.
One of the best dining experiences in the Augusta area. Food & service was excellent!!
Excellent atmosphere...great food... wonderful setup...very cozy...Evans needed a spot...like this!
I was disappointed that there was not a white fish on the menu - grouper, founder, snapper, cobia, mahi,....... There are many people that do not eat salmon and I was quite disappointed that salmon was the fish served with the curry and risotto preparation.
We went there for our anniversary and could not have been happier for our choice. The red snapper I ate was perfect and unique. She liked her hamburger too. The salad and that creme brûlée were simply superb. The seating, I am not so sure though. A bit uncomfortable and awkward to sit at the corner of a 14-chair table with no one else there. I also looked around and did not see anyone else with my complexion, but that was not their problem.
Wonderful food and service
Thank you for posting your review Ellie - please do come see us again soon!
Overall great experience and we appreciated the appearance of a team amongst the staff. Everyone made us feel welcome and ensured our glasses were never empty. Only thing I would have preferred was more intimate seating.
Fantastic waitress Tess really helped the night! Great food and atmosphere!
Waiter needs to be more engaged. Everything else was great. Referred friends to enjoy as we did.
Unbelievable food. Definitely worth the splurge.
Wish they did extra stuff for special occasions
My first visit will not be my last. Excellent food and wine. Super staff too. Highly recommend it
The only downside to our visit to Cork & Flame is that we haven’t dined here sooner. The service was excellent, the food was unique, and the atmosphere was on par with any fine dining restaurant we’ve visited. We will definitely be back, hopefully for Sunday brunch!
We loved the vegan selection-all special and delicious. Our trout, pork chop and buffalo steak were very good. Our waitress was so lovely but clearly overworked or the kitchen was understaffed. There was a very long time between courses. We were having a great time but it was taking a very long time. We will come again definitely but that is an area that can be easily addressed.
We had brunch here and was so pleasantly surprised. We do not live in Augusta but have already talked about making the 100 mile drive to come back for dinner.
This could be the best food in Evans! Service, food quality, quantity, and environment was outstanding. We were seated next to the "music" which was a little loud but not remarkable when considering the rest of the perks. A new place we discovered on a lark and will definitely be returning frequently.
Thanks Cork and Flame.
Excellent service, wonderful food and drinks, unique and fun ambiance. We will return!
It was an amazing experience. My wife said it was "Orgasmic"!
The restaurant was very crowded and the meal was slow in coming out. Other than that, a very nice evening with friends.
We sat in the little separate dining room. It is nice because it is quieter but it needs a little more decorating. One large wall is blank and if you are looking at it during dinner it is not very attractive.
We have become regular visitors to the Cork and Flame and it never fails to deliver superior fare and service. I had the new addition on the menu of pheasant pate. Wow!1 My wife had her favorite the Tuna Duo and as usual waxed lyrical about it. The attention to detail both to the recipes and the cleanliness in the restaurant shines through. An exciting and memorable dining experience. For our money the best in the CSRA.
Our daughter was moving to NYC the next day so we wanted to go somewhere memorable. Everything about the dining experience was top tier.
We thought the noise level was too high. Other than that we enjoy the Cork & Flame.
We have eaten here many times and have never been disappointed.
Over priced. For what you are charging for the food, you need to WoW the customer. And that was not the case.
