Cork & Flame can trace its history back to 2004 when Roger Strohl opened The Vineyard Wine Market. After a successful 13 years, The Vineyard has joined forces with Chef Justin Hayes and partners to form a unique combination of fine dining, tapas and wine market, offering customers a single culinary experience. In addition to the fine dining, tapas and wine market, the Cork and Flame hosts wine tastings, wine dinners, and private party events.

    Excellent service provided by our waitress Amber. I normally do not write reviews but someone over the manager needs to be informed : Our reservation was early in the evening- the restaurant was out of Bison, and Filets…And after dinner we ordered Irish coffee’s and were informed that they were out of Jameson…( not only that but were out of a few other liquors/beer as well)…Other than that we enjoyed our dinner, will most likely return to give them another chance, and will definitely request Amber .

    I have been to this restaurant many times over the last few years, and unlike some places that start off strong and then decline, Cork and Flame only seems to improve. Their menu is full of interesting delicious options; their service is as professional and thoughtful as any big city high end dining; and the whole experience is so well thought out and enjoyable. If you are going to spend the money to have an excellent dinner in Augusta (and I have tried all the best in the city) this is it!

    This place has a great atmosphere. Everyone enjoyed their food except me. The lobster pasta was really good, a must try, and so were the scallops. I ordered the market fish which was a Mexican Flounder. It was dry, cold and had several bones in it. I do not recommend the market fish.

    We have tried many menu items through the years and the Lobster tail truffle oil pasta, was by far one of the best entrees I have had here. I was bummed years ago when the mussels were taken off the menu, but tonight completely redeemed that. Great job to the chef and as always, an incredible atmosphere.

    The chefs spring menu is a triumph! Venison Carpaccio is beyond words with flavor. Bravo! Staff is attentive and knowledgeable a true dining experience.

    Cork and Flame is by far my favorite restaurant, however, my past experience was less than pleasant. From the time it took to be acknowledged by the server, to the loud obnoxious party adjacent to our table, and the lackluster food it was an extremely disappointing Mother's Day Brunch. I think I will stick to dinner if/when I go back. The refined atmosphere, ambiance, and the excellent food and service is more deserving of the "fine dining" title. Just hope dinner experience hasn't declined.
