Cork & Flame can trace its history back to 2004 when Roger Strohl opened The Vineyard Wine Market. After a successful 13 years, The Vineyard has joined forces with Chef Justin Hayes and partners to form a unique combination of fine dining, tapas and wine market, offering customers a single culinary experience. In addition to the fine dining, tapas and wine market, the Cork and Flame hosts wine tastings, wine dinners, and private party events.

It was my girlfriend and I’s first time dining at Cork and Flame and the meal, service, and atmosphere exceeded our expectations. My girlfriend had the bison entree and I had the ribeye, both of which were perfectly cooked and were perfectly timed to give our salads times to settle and give us time to spend together. Our server, Blake, was awesome. He was super engaging and made us feel welcomed and offered us great recommendations! The service and food made this an awesome date night!

My 23rd Birthday was Awesome at Cork & Flame. We had the 4-Course Tasting and Everything was PHENOMENAL. The Ostrich Carpaccio was my absolute favorite (I got a second order to-go😊) followed by the Best Lobster Bisque I've ever had. And then the Bison with Sweet Potatoes and Cranberries were very playful to my palate. Dessert the Chocolate Torte Cake was also amazing 🤩.
Overall, Cork & Flame Superseded my Expectations for lil'ole Augusta. I've been to a lot of tasting on the East Coast and C&F by far, is now in my Top 3.

Definitely coming back soon💯

My wife and I went to celebrate valentine's day together and upon arrival were surprised to see that no one was wearing any masks with the exception of our waiter who wore his while he was at our table. We arrived expecting an intimate quieter setting for valentine's day as was advertised, but instead a loud and noisy environment. The restaurant was packed with customers (None of whom where wearing masks) and their was a DJ playing loud dance music. We couldn't hear each other across the table due to the ambient noise level. The food was good, not exactly what we were expecting but not bad and the waiter did what he could to ensure that my wife who has a food allergy was attended to. For the cost and a restaurant that is known as one of the best in Augusta, I was ultimately disappointed by the experience and think that the ambience detracted from what would have been a lovely meal otherwise.

A big part of why we gave 3 stars was the fact that we had dinner reservations at 7:15p and we got seated over an hour from our reservations. I had checked with the hostess and it appeared that maybe we got missed somehow (not quite sure but there was no explanation). The food was great. Overall, our server was good but we did have to wait longer than usual a few times throughout dinner...maybe it was the fact that it was a 4 course dinner and every table was busy? I dont think we would have cared as much about the waiting time if we didnt have a babysitter waiting on us.

We had a great server. The food was great except I would have preferred not to have the seasoning they put on my lobster. I prefer just lobster and butter. Also the Filet Mignon had a smokey flavor. The Lobster Bisque was very good.

This was our second time at Cork and Flame. Our last experience left a lot the be desired but, after 2 years, we decided to give it another go. The place is beautiful, the menu is innovative, and the food is delicious. We really enjoyed our experience and would encourage others to give it a try.

The only negative I could give is that our server wasn't inviting. The service was executed perfectly, our drinks never went empty, and our plates were cleared quickly and efficiently. He just wasn't warm and made us feel a bit unwelcomed. The only time he gave off the impression of being welcoming and inviting was when he returned our paid bill to us. This is a huge pet peeve of mind.

Overall, we enjoyed our experience and would love to return at a later date. I think we'd ask for someone else to take care of our table though.

Scallops were amazing; best thing on the menu. Ordered ribeye medium; it came nearly raw. They fixed it and the replacement was a 5-star steak. Mashed potatoes were dry/stiff, as if pre-prepped, plated and stored on a shelf. But - I ate them; the steak au jus was to die for on the potatoes! One hostess and two waiters did not wear a mask, nor did the cook staff. Our waiter was awesome! I found the restaurant moderately over-priced; meal for two with one glass of wine - one ninety. This was a Saturday night, two or three tables open and we saw a walk-in couple seated... so not impossible to get a table. This is the type of spot Evans needed. I wish them continued success.

This was our first time to Cork and Flame and Blake was a top tier exceptional server. His presentation and knowledge of the establishment, food, and drinks would be something I would value and want in the restaurant.
The food was absolutely delicious. The only thing I was a little disappointed about was the portion size of the entree we received. Don't get me wrong it had an amazing taste, but I feel the size was a little small for the price. The portion of the sides could have been a little more. Other than that everything was fantastic.

This was probably one of my favorite food experiences in Augusta!! The food was amazing! The staff was amazing! Our server has become one off my faves! Knowledgeable, personable and inviting! We were celebrating a birthday and she’s wanted one thing in the state of this current world, her friends to dress up and enjoy a nice dinner. Thank you for the perfect experience! I will definitely be back!!

I think you know you had an exceptional experience when the next day you are still talking about the highlights of the last evenings meal. From presentation to perfectly prepared entrees to the treat of cotton candy at the end. We will be back!

Food was okay- it may seem like a good idea to get the tasting menu but the portions are very small. Some of the dishes were very good- lobster bisque, scallops and the stuffed prunes. The filet tasted like liquid smoke (v odd) and the bison was overpowered by the chimichuri. Deconstructed apple pie was delicious. Also our waiter told us there were no specials then we heard the waiter next to us list specials not on the menu to the table next to us. The other thing that we struggled with was the wine selections. You have to walk over to the wine market to pick a bottle and the lady who is helping was very pretentious and gave me no guidance bc I think she thought I didn’t know anything about wine (ironically I’m a level one som and a wine educator). More the reason to help someone when your wine isn’t organized in way to pick a bottle in a timely manner for dinner. Was really looking forward to a nice dinner but it was very expensive and underwhelming.

This was my first time going to brunch here, and it was decently dark given the time of day. Also, I was with a friend that has a food sensitivity, and the selections for her were extremely limited which was disappointing. The service was a bit slow and not as attentive as they could have been given it is supposed to be fine dining. I was pretty underwhelmed, and I’ll be seeking out other places for brunch.

John helped us select a nice wine and gave us some history about some of our favorite wines. The staff was very knowledgeable and professional. The food was delicious and well presented.
