Cork & Cow Ratings and Reviews
Overall, I would definitely recommend Cork & Cow but with a few comments. The food was OUTSTANDING and worth the price. The atmosphere was quite loud. For the prices on the menu, I would expect that the interior be designed to make it a bit easier to converse with the other person at a two person table. The service was very good, but a bit too much on the upsell. Everyone was VERY polite and made the evening very nice.
Hands down the best dining experience we've ever had. We went for our 15 year anniversary after all the great reviews we read and heard. Everything was perfect. From the polite and courteous hostess calling for a friendly reminder about our reservation to the friendly and knowledgeable server to the absolutely AMAZING food prepared by talented chefs, I cannot recommend Cork & Cow enough. It is well worth the price as the fine dining experience is top notch. We started off with the zucchini fries, which were wonderful...especially paired with the two dipping sauces they came with. My wife ordered the pear salad, which sounds simple, but the combination of flavors meld together perfectly and were very fresh. I ordered the lamb rack (medium rare) and it was perfectly cooked and seasoned to perfection...the potatoes that accompanied it were some of the best I've ever had. My wife ordered the shrimp, scallops, gnocchi and was blown away by how great everything tasted...some of the best food she's ever had (and she can be picky and particular when it comes to dining). The atmosphere is more casual and comfortable than we originally thought it would be and were glad it was as it made the experience very enjoyable. Unfortunately, we didn't have room for dessert. My wife enjoyed some tasty wines and I a couple locally crafted beers. The evening went perfectly! And although we won't eat every weekend, we'll definitely be back...it won't be soon enough. Thank you Cork & Cow for an exceptional dining experience!!
Total foodgasm!! Wonderful restaurant, excellent service, incredible food!! You cannot find a better steak in a 50 mile radius. The sides are wonderful. I suggest the filet a la Oscar and a side of spinach with fresh parmesan. All the desserts are decadent and perfect with their French pressed coffee to end your fabulous meal.
This was my second time to dine at Cork & Cow and I will be back again and again. Excellent service, knowledgeable staff, and outstanding food. This is my place for special occasions or a celebration meal with my wife. I am a self admitted steak snob. There are very few restaurants where I will order and actually enjoy a steak. Cork & Cow is one of the few places that I look forward to ordering a steak. Get a steak with the coffee rub and chilie butter. You will thank me later.
As always, Alan, JJ and Peter excel at great service, backed up by terrific food. Zack is an expert at the bar - he knows the story / history behind every glass - tasty bourbon here too! Have the lamb chops followed by the filet - or two! Special Elvis tribute dessert was 'the King'!
I can't believe it took us so long to finally try Cork & Cow for dinner...we have been missing out! We indulged ourselves with the Tomahawk steak and we're beyond thrilled. It was absolute magic. And, if that weren't enough, were intrigued by the Elvis peanut butter and banana tart, but went with the chocolate cheesecake. It was the best I've ever had. I have always found their brunch to be amazing but it pales compared to the feast we had for dinner. We will be back!
I took my husband here for his 43rd birthday. I can't even find the right words to describe the food! It was absolutely fantastic. We love unique, fine dining experiences and this was certainly one of them! The atmosphere was perfect for a date night. Again, the food was out of this world. We shall absolutely return soon. The location was also fantastic in that you're able to walk around downtown Franklin and discover lots of neat shops.
We were traveling and wanted to stay in Franklin, Tennessee on the way. My husband made reservations at the Cork and Cow to celebrate my birthday. Since we had been traveling and touring downtown we were dressed comfortable and didn't feel out of place in the restaurant. He had made reservations at 7:00 but we arrived earlier and they were so kind to let us change our reservation to an earlier time. The atmosphere was great and we enjoyed a very special birthday dinner. The steak was the best I ever had. Our waiter made us feel at home and the manager even visited us at our table. After dinner I was treated to a free birthday dessert which we enjoyed and appreciated. I would highly recommend the Cork and Cow to anyone who wanted to celebrate a special occasion or just enjoy a wonderful meal.
All I can say is WOW. This restaurant was amazing. I let them know it was an anniversary and they put us in a beautiful booth in the corner. We actually had two servers, the main gentleman was knowledgeable, kind and very professional. The other was quirky, funny and a delight. The food presentation was perfect and some of the most delicious I have ever had. If you enjoy lamb, the rack was delicious and plentiful. Warm bread with whipped butter, large side dishes and a creme brulee that I could have eaten by myself. Five stars does not do it justice, the Cork and Cow is a must, especially for a special occasion.
Great food. Filet Minon and pork chop were cooked to perfection. Creative entrees/salads. Nice selection of sides. Not a large menu, but excellent quality of beef, pork, and seafood dishes. Very good presentations. Quiet. Ideal waiter. Can't afford frequent visits, but have a wonderful dinner outing when we go. Took our own wine/$15 corking fee.
I dined at Cork & Cow to celebrate an early birthday. I have dined at Cork & Cow several times, and every time I have had an amazing experience. Tonight was just as great. We started with the zucchini fries, a favorite of mine. They were paired with two sauces, which were both incredible. My entree was the bone in ribeye. So tender. Cooked to perfection. Seasoned beautifully. For desert we had the Creme Brûlée. Hands down the best Creme Brûlée I've ever had. We also had the chocolate cheesecake. SO good. I love Cork & Cow for any occasion.
The Cork and Cow was a special experience for us. Our server, Adam, made our experience spectacular. From his friendly, knowledgable demeanor to his excellent food recommendations, Adam was simply spectacular. The food selections were delicious. From the dry rubbed strip steak, the deliciously prepared flank steak to the salmon, everything was perfect! Even the burger was out of this world! This is an exceptional restaurant with truly exceptional wait staff. If you are ever in Franklin, give Cork and Cow a try!
Cork & Cow is the best Franklin has to offer - always great food. Fantastic Bourbon - with some rare finds too! Lamb chop appetizer is terrific, and the steaks - YUM. Allan and JJ are the best waiters I have met, and Zack at the bar knows his stuff! Thanks Peter - always a pleasure to see you when I'm in town.
