Cork & Cow
Our visit was simply wonderful! Excellent steaks, great sides, good wine list. Service was first-rate and friendly. Casual, a bit noisy, but very much worth a nice evening out! Went there rather than tackle the parking and hassle of downtown Nashville for a good steak. Were
My wife and I went for our 15th anniversary dinner. Best salad (Steakhouse), Best Mac and Cheese, Best dessert I have ever had. Dry Aged NY Strip was outstanding. Great Bourbon list, nice wine list as well.
Erica was super nice and made us feel very welcomed. Made great suggestions and we enjoyed our evening very very much.
Our experience here was spectacular! From the moment we sat down our server made us feel special. The cocktails were delicious, the oysters scrumptious and my steak was perfection! I highly recommend this restaurant
We came here for our 29th anniversary and we loved it! The service is outstanding and the food is great! Sunday is 1/2 price bottle of wine, so that was a bonus!! Steak was awesome, Grilled Asparagus was Devine❤️ Will definitely come back!!
Great food as always. Super kind server. Wonderful time and will be back soon!
It was outstanding. I will be back.
The tomato tart is worth the visit! Other than that Service and food both good, space/ ambiance very good
We have eaten here before. As before, the food and service were awesome!
One of the BEST steaks I’ve ever eaten! Amazing food!
Great service and spectacular food! Sunday is half price wine!!!
We have wanted to try Cork and Cow since we moved here 8 years ago. So happy we celebrated Father’s Day here. The food and service were fabulous!! The best steak and fish. This is now my son’s favorite place.
C&C may be the best restaurant in TN. Service is exceptional - on par with Kayne Prime and Jeff Ruby. Their excellent servers are well versed with the menu. The cocktails are also great (compared equally to Grey's across the street, usually considered the best around). In our opinion C&C food is even better than KP and JR. We were celebrating my wife's 50th birthday and she received well wishes from the entire staff. We both enjoyed perfectly prepared fillet mignon with their signature vinegar infused potatoes (trust me they are awesome). Our daughter had the shrimp gnocchi....We ended the meal with the best peach cobbler I've ever had...And I've had plenty. I have selfishly hesitated writing a review before only because it's already hard enough to get a reservation. I finally decided that wasnt fair to the owners and staff. Go and enjoy the best meal you may have all year!
Delicious food and great service! We love that it’s small and cozy. A Fun date night spot.
My brother and I bot have wedding anniversaries this week so we decided to celebrate at the Cork and Cow with our wives. Our waiter, Adam, was a very funny guy and his service was very good. He made the dinner very entertaining for us with his sense of humor.
For the meal, we picked a variety of foods and they were all very good.
My description of Cork and Cow is that it is a very high end steak place with Southern taste in all of the food.
Great service! Steak was awesome!
Portions more than adequate, most of our food was prepared well and tasty. However my veal was barely warm, hardly cooked. Tasty dessert.
The food was very good as was the service, but for a restaurant that specializes in steak and chops, I would expect a much better quality of steak knife than was provided. Getting new quality, sharp knives for the customers would become a high end steak house much better.
I had heard this was an amazing restaurant . Sadly, my first experience was not great.
One of the best dinners around - the filet was amazing as was everything else
Cork and Cow is simply our favorite restaurant! It has the best food and best cocktail options in Franklin.
First time for me to eat at Cork and Cow and it was a great experience, The food and service were great. I made a reservation today to celebrate my 33rd anniversary there next Saturday night.
Noise level was high. Will think about that before our next visit. Great food! Great wine! Great desserts! Just soooo noisy.
We went for an anniversary dinner. Service by our server (Brent) was excellent and he was very personable. The fritter appetizer was incredible and I highly recommend it! We both ordered the fillets which were both very undercooked. My wife ordered her's butterflied/well done and specified she did not want any pink in it, and it had to be sent back to the kitchen 3 times. Mine once for medium. When her fillet was delivered the third time by the manager, it was charred badly and lacking any flavor.
On a funny note, when our fillets came to the table the first time each entree had three potatoes and when they came back they only had two on them. Either the cook got hungry or maybe you get penalized for a send back? We had a good laugh about this and it's probably what we'll remember the most about this evening!
Although the manager should have comped my wife's fillet, they did offer to buy our desserts, which were both good.
We left rather disappointed as this is not something we get to do often and you want it to be great, special and memorable for the money you spend to splurge for a special occasion because it is pricey. I don't know that I would risk it again for a special occasion dinner as I just don't think it's worth the money we spent, but we would come back for apps/drinks.
Was with some friends looking for a great dinner and settled on Cork and Cow. Our meals have usually been great to so-so, but this was exceptionally awful. I’m used to paying a lot of money for good cuts of meat and a nice bottle of wine, but the outcome is usually representative of that. 2 of us got the “chef special” dry aged ribeye for 65$ each. We both ordered medium rare and what came out was 2 ribeyes 1/2” thick seasoned in what tasted and appeared to be Italian dressing! Seriously 1/2”, who does that! A steak house? You can’t even cook a ribeye that thin! Honestly it was the most embarrassing piece of meat a steak house above a ponderosa should ever serve and at those prices we were all at a loss for words. 1 of the 4 steaks turned out pretty good on review, but $700 for 4 of us and the the Wine was the only shining moment. I guess it’s hard to mess that up. I really hate to leave a bad review, but it’s important for folks that are expecting better to understand, you’ll get a golden coral steak for a Jeff Ruby’s price here. Kitchen needs to step up their product to be take. Seriously for such a great Franklin location. You’re better off hitting the Ted Pony in this side of town for the money. #awful
Excellent! Great food and terrific service by Allen. Good value
Fantastic steak house in Franklin. Small, but accommodating, make sure to get a reservation. Great bourbon list and neat bar. Steaks cooked to order. Everything was super yummy. We will be back!
WE had been going to cork and cow for several years, always with good results and excellent food and service. This past week, in trying to celebrate our anniversary, we had a very poor experience, mainly with the food. Service by our waiter however was excellent, as always. However, we found that the caeser salad had very dry and hard to chew "friccas" and a surprising amount of vinaigrette type dressing instead of usual caeser style. Our bottle of Chardonnay was tepid and had to be chilled/iced down before service; the lobster tail was just aweful, and had been soaked or prepared in lots of salt. Finally, we did not enjoy the potates au gratin, which were more like small double-stuff red potatoes, rather than typical au gratin preparation. We will not be returning any time soon, but again, our hats' off to service team (Brent) for trying to make this work!
We wanted to enjoy a light dinner night out. It turned out to be anything but quiet thanks to our terrible server Eric S (name on receipt). We had cocktails and two appetizers and a salad. Our server was experiencing a night of attitude it seems at our expense. One of the appetizers had the olives heated and she n asked if we could get them not heated (my husband does not like them like that) the waiter started giving us pushback saying why would you do that. I explained because he does not like them that way and he started to tell us “that’s stupid”. We were shocked at a response like this but said nothing. He continued to keep commenting as he returned to fill water glasses. We continued to not rise to the bullying and the next act was what topped it all. He proceeded to spill water all over the side of me and dropped the glass container. While I would never think someone would do this purposely, both my husband and I felt that was the case. It was just too much. I moved from my seat which was soaked and sat on the other side of the table next to my husband. The waiter did not come back but sent another young man who seemed very sheepish to us to pay out. I felt bad for this guy. We never said a word and left. The people on both sides of us saw the whole thing and even thought the accident and waiters behavior was very odd. Eric thanks for making our evening a very bad night out. We hope you are more considerate to other guests.
This was our second time spending our anniversary at Cork and Cow and both times were absolutely fantastic! The service was exceptional and the food was some of the best we have ever had!! Starting with drinks and moving to a cheese tray appetizer (Not your ordinary cheese tray), then dinner with steak and the best potatoes around. Finally we ended the night with coconut cake that was just perfect (and I don't like coconut). Very highly recommended Cork and Cow!!
Excellent steaks. At least as good as Chicago where I am from. Would highly recommend and will certainly return. The noise level was a little high from my taste but it was bearable. Service was excellent.
I ordered the dry-aged New York strip steak. It was rather gristly...not what one would expect for a $56.00 entree. It is an attractive restaurant, small and intimate and unfortunately a bit noisy.
Our favorite place for an evening without kids. Food is always superb and have never had less than the best wine. The bartenders are amazing.
The staff was amazing! They went out of their way to say HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my wife along with great service! My only complaint is the AC clearly wasn't working it was so Hot! After about 6 wonderful cocktails I ignored the sweat rolling down my face!
Cork & Cow is one of the best restaurants we've been to, and one we feel like we would like to come back to more often because the menu changes, but it's always unbelievably good. Everything we ordered was exceptionally flavorful and well-seasoned. I think you can pretty much confidently order anything on the menu and expect it to be amazing. We both got steaks, and my husband got the gorgonzola-horseradish butter, and I wish I had, it was delicious - so much flavor but not overwhelming. Our waiter Allan was extremely knowledgeable about all the cocktails and the food, and gave us fantastic recommendations. We look forward to going again soon!
Great food. Great service.
Great food all across the board. Produce was fresh. Meat cooked perfectly. Beautiful establishment. And we had awesome service. Extremely helpful, polite and nice. Me and my wife don't impress easy, we consider ourselves avid foodies. But we definitely absolutely see ourselves going here again
One of our new favorite restaurants. How wonderful we found this place. Totally worth a trip here. We had 4 apps & wine and each was delicious. We were thrilled with the ambience & the wait staff. Can’t wait to visit again.
