Cork & Cow Ratings and Reviews
Guess there is a reason Cork and Cow had availability on Valentine's Day at the last minute. It's a small place and the majority of the seating is in a "line up" slammed right up next to each other. Tables are barely wide enough to hold your plate and a drink. We probably had the worst server in the place, which didn't help. Good wine options and food was ok at best. For the price, the food should be much better. Won't be back- won't sit in a line up again.
Wonderful foo, attentive but not overbearing service. I enjoyed the Modified Clyde, a smooth but stout cocktail. Lamb chop appetizer was yummy, as was the Steakhouse Salad (bacon vinaigrette and tomato jam are game changers), bone in filet was perfectly cooked and just as good as the server promised. Gnocchi and Brussels sprouts were good, but not life changing. What was life changing-the sour cream ice cream cake-definitely save room for dessert!
Outstanding evening for wedding anniversary dinner -- John and Zack at the bar are masters of mixology -- Allen is the most wonderful and knowledgeable server with great recommendations of food selection and wines. None better anywhere. Food was top-notch. Bar scene is a Franklin institution. Go - enjoy --
my wife has food allergies (pepper). We informed the waiter of the allergy who informed the kitchen. However, the kitchen still used chilies in the sauce in her dish. We were all confused as to why the kitchen did not seem to realize that chilies are a type of pepper.
We had a wonderful meal at the Cork and Cow - from the salads to the asparagus, and tangy brussels sprouts, and especially our entrees - filet mignon, a lamb chop, and especially the rack of lamb - all expertly prepared, nicely presented, and delicious! The cocktails and wine were also a nice addition. The only downside to the evening was the level of noise in the restaurant. This seems to be the trend lately - good food in noisy spaces - so not just an issue at the Cork and Cow. So, the only thing I would have wished to be different was to have enjoyed quieter conversation with my companions. We will definitely be back for the food - and try to find a time when it isn't so crowded - if such a time exists!
We went on a recommendation from a friend for a special occasion. It wasn't the easiest to find since the address says Main Street but the entrance is on the side road. A small sign on side is easily missed. The restaurant is small and loud. It was hard to carry a conversation. Thankfully the food is delicious! But they could use some gluten free or vegan options.
They changed their burger to dry aged beef. I like it much better with the trimmings of the fiet meat. I believe the dry age meat was too rich for me, as I didn’t feel well later on that evening ! Please change the burger back as we’re regular customers.
Service was Excellent! Cocktails were wonderful as always.
This was hands down one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had! We celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary at Cork and Cow and were so glad we decided to celebrate there! Our waiter, Eric, made the experience even more memorable—we will definitely be back!
What a wonderful anniversary dinner! The charred oyster appetizer was suberb. W then enjoyed the Tomahawk steak and potatoes, sides of asparagus, mac and cheese, and spinach. We enjoyed two wonderful desserts of (carrot) cake and (sour cream) ice cream and also had the apple cobbler with oat topping--yummy! Our server, Jennifer, was so attentive. She put us at ease, gave us helpful advise in ordering, and served us flawlessly. I can highly recommend Cork and Cow!
This was our first time eating at the Cork and Cow. We've had several friends tell us to try it. I took my husband here for his birthday this week. The wait staff was amazing. I believe our waiter's name was Greg but I'm not sure. The food was wonderful! We had steaks, sides and the lamb chops for appetizer and the creme brule for dessert. We will definitely join them again!
