Cork & Cow
Book your next event with us
This is a great restaurant for a special event. In our case, we celebrated our wedding anniversary, and the staff paid us special attention. The food is amazing, and I'd come here at least once a month if I could afford it. A perfect experience!
Food was great, service wonderful. Cocktails and dessert were fabulous. Two issues we had were there was a fish smell from the kitchen while we were there. Also, I ordered lamb with a whipped pistachio goat cheese, but it was nearly non-existent on my plate. I would have loved for that portion to be greater. Otherwise, fabulous special occasion meal.
Good was delicious as always. Staff very friendly m, knowledgeable, and attentive
Overall the visit was outstanding. Excellent drinks, salads, filet. Strip had too much fat for the money. The baked oyster appetizer tasted good but 4 smallish for $13. We will definitely be back soon and order smarter.
Birthday! The food was great as usual!
My husband’s birthday
This was our first time trying Cork & Cow and we were blown away!! My dad was even impressed which is saying something :D
Our server was by far the best server in the Nashville metro area. Everything we tried was amazing & delicious!
Cork and Cow never disappoints! Our drinks were tasty and our food was delicious. This is one of the best restaurants in Franklin.
Delicious food and a enjoyable local feel. One of my favorite restaurants in the Nashville area.
My wife and I spent our anniversary dinner here. It is pricey but you can’t beat the food and the exceptional service. Our night was made even more special by having dinner at this lovely spot. We would definitely recommend this place.
Wonderful anniversary dinner! Our server, Adam, was fantastic! His knowledge of the menu, his suggestions on the menu, along with his outgoing personality and overall service, could not have been better.
My husband had the lamb rack with half pepper jelly sauce and other half with chimichurri sauce. I had the steelhead trout with summer squash relish, wild rice and broccolini. Both were delicious! We finished with the creamiest, sweetest creme brûlée either of us had ever had. We will be back!
Went to Cork & Cow for my birthday(75). Why the reservation wanted to know the occasion ,because there was no recognition of the occasion. It seems like we were really pressured by our waiter to take advantage of their 1/2 off price for expensive bottles of wine. Settled on glasses instead. Very small expensive menu. My wife ordered multiple starters as she wasn't that hungry. The stracciatella was very good. The gnocchi caught her eye. The gnocchi, which is her favorite, she couldn't eat because the texture was so different from real Italian gnocchi (she is half). I ordered fish but it was so salty I didn't enjoy it. It was placed on a bed of something that had peas and asparagus. Strange. The macaroni and cheese was pretty good. Ended up taking it home to eat later. I can't believe what they charge for such mediocre food. $65 for a steak !! Since the restaurant was full when we got there it must be popular. Maybe our taste is weird, but we would definitely not return.
It's always great to gather with friends at Cork and Cow. Great service, great food, and they even brought out the birthday cake for our friend. Highly recommend.
Took a dear friend to dinner and the bone in ribeye was horrible it was extremely difficult to cut and there was a lot of gristle. He commented that it was very tough. I sent mine back and got a fillet which was delicious otherwise the rest of the food was fine. The Caesar salad was overdressed but still fairly good
Normally a nice place for steaks.
My wife and I do not drink, their drink menu means little to us.
Waiter was super nice , but it seems the kitchen has changed , on vacation, who knows.
Steaks were mostly raw and one was completely the wrong cut. They charge the expected professional prices, they just failed to deliver a likewise product.
They always deliver superb service. Excellent bone in filet always cooked as I ask. Have had multiple servers including Alan Erica and the latest was Cary. Training program must be robust because they all are very good.
Great food and drink specials. It was a great anniversary dinner thanks!!!
We've celebrated several special occasions with this restaurant but feel that since we did not partake in the wine bottle special/order drinks, our service level diminished drastically. Drinks went unfilled, side orders came out after we were finished with our meals. Just general inattention when the guests around us with the same waiter were being given exemplary service. Food is top-notch as always, however, we feel the service declined since we did not pad our bill with an additional $50-$100 in alcohol purchases.
Service is exceptional! Lamb chops superb!
Excellent food and service! Wilder Embry was our waiter, he amazed us with his knowledge of the menu and recommended great drinks. We truly enjoyed our experience and can’t wait to come back.
we had a great meal and super service. excellent bar and bartender. understands what a drink is suppose to be. highly recommend this place if you are ever in Franklin Tennessee
I had the shrimp and scallop gnocchi. It was good but not outstanding. Only 2 shrimp and they were very small. The scallops were good size and outstanding.
My wife had the filet. She asked for medium rare and came out medium. She mentioned it to the waiter and he indicated that was there medium rare. The steak came with 2 potatoes which were very small. The size of cherry tomatoes.
Overall meal and experience was good but expected more.
Best Restaurant in Nashville in our opinion
My wife’s Birthday celebration. Service was exceptional the waiter was friendly, attentive and knew how to navigate our food temperature desire vs the kitchen’s cooking temp.
Cocktail specials were very good - the bar staff is always friendly and attentive to customer needs.
Cork and Cow is our ‘go to’ dining for special occasions and for visiting guests.
Great service. Both fish dishes were outstanding.
We had a wonderful evening with another couple at Cork truly everything we've tasted in several visits over the last few years has been amazing!
A very lovely evening with the family was enjoyed here. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Food was excellent. We will definitely return.
Excellent food, great service, intimate setting. Great for a date or special occasion.
Food was great. Cooked perfectly. Atmosphere was great close to the bar area.
Great food, great atmosphere, excellent cocktails.
Most amazing staff and service you will find anywhere. Best cocktails in Nashville and beyond. The charred oysters are a can't miss an the steaks are always excellent. Hard to get enough of this place!
Salty, salty, salty. They really LOVE salt!
The first thing you notice about Cork & Cow is that it is very loud. A large portion of the first floor is a bar. The dining area is not separated so the noise level was very high. The second thing you notice is the prices. I don't mind paying $65 for a steak, but it had better be perfect. The meal itself:
We ordered an appetizer, salad, bone-in ribeye, filet mignon (both medium) and mac n cheese.
1. The appetizer and salad were both very good.
2. The ribeye was medium-well and a little drier than hoped for, but the flavor was ok.
3. The filet was flat out well-done. The waiter suggested my wife should cut more to the center. (At these prices, the steak should have had a nice sear and be uniform pink within.) After seeing that the steak was well done throughout, he put in an order for a second filet.
4. The mac n cheese was dry. We didn't miss it too much because the steaks actually came with a couple of red potatoes. We would have ordered a different side if the menu or waiter had mentioned the potatoes, but neither did.
5. The second filet had a nice sear, but a cold purple center throughout, extremely rare. (By this time I've shared my steak with my wife and we're basically done with dinner.) They took it back, cooked it some more and returned with a smaller cold dark center, merely rare.
At this point we simply asked that they take the filet off the bill. I also asked that they only charge me for the boneless ribeye, since that was what I had been served instead of the bone-in.
Not the meal we had hoped for to celebrate our anniversary.
Went for our anniversary, was surprised (shouldn't have been), how well we were attended to and wished a happy anniversary by all. Just a real pleasant and attentive experience. The food was fantastic, cocktails and wine recommendations were spot on. Thanks Cork & Cow!
Service was prompt and professional. We enjoied the scallop, shrip, and gnocci as well as the freshly made rosemary bread and soft whipped butter.
Good steak and the lamb is excellent. Nice dinner and the service is good.
Amazing for a date night
Dined at Cork and Cow for our wedding anniversary. From the first cocktail to the main coarse and to the dessert (and more cocktails), every thing was absolutely delicious - although, a little pricey. We had an early reservation at 5:15, and our own quiet corner booth. By 7pm the place was completely filled and energized, making the noise level go way up. So get there early if that's an issue.
I did not have much in the way of expectations when we went to dinner at Cork in fact, it is a little on the boring side, the food is an entirely different story.
My wife and I had a wonderful starter of rock fish wrapped in bacon and a cauliflower salad with a pistachio dressing both of which were fabulous. Our steaks where perfectly cooked and very enjoyable. The bread was something else. A lovely large role soaked in warm butter. Simply fabulous.
The service was also outstanding. We were treated so well by Taylor, our server that I had forgotten what it is like to have a true professional at table. Kudos to Cork & Cow.
