Cork & Cap Restaurant
Fried avocado with the chicken salad was not very tasty according to two persons in our party. Two of us ordered the salmon salad and that seems to be 'Old Reliable' since we both get this salad everytime we go there. It is good and salmon is done to order. The service was prompt and friendly when we first arrived but after we got our entrees, we could not find anyone to fill our water pitcher or for an order of coffee or for anything. We had a nice quiet spot where we could talk comfortably and for quite some time after we finished eating since by this time in the afternoon there were not too many customers.
Great atmosphere, good food! We Love unique, and one of a kind places.
Server forgot drink and the toppings on burgers were switched, but other than those minor things, the meal was great, ambiance was nice and the rest of the service was good!
We sat outside and enjoyed the weather and the food and the service. Are waitress was very accommodating, the food was delicious as well.
Food was excellent as it has been in the past. Speed of service could have been better. We waited some time for even an initial greeting. My draft beer took 10 minutes. I was told the bar was backed up. And when I finished my first beer it was
10 minutes until I was offered a second.
This really IS FINE DINING, unlike any experience anywhere nearby. Each bite of each dish was beyond perfection. Prime steak like butter; green beans so good they could be a meal by themselves. Custom drink (Cork Colada) super yummy. Attentive service, but not oppressive. You will feel like the only guests, if only due to the service. No detail missed. For Special Occasions, for sure. If you want something special, just ask. Our server, Bobby, a gem.
The food was just OK. The service was slow and the waiter seemed to get confused. Maybe just having an off day.
The Cork and Cap was a last minute decision for us prior to going to the theater. We were so overwhelmingly pleased with the quality of the food, with the timing coming out, and with our service. Definitely recommended, everything we ate was delicious!
Once again we had a great dining experience at Cork & Cap. The food was outstanding, each of us in the party of four was delighted with both the drinks and the entrees. Each couple then shared a fantastic dessert to top off a great dinner. The restaurant has such an accommodating wait staff so that we like to return often.
This was our first visit and our expectations were certainly exceeded.
Wonderful time. I was there for a meeting with a friend - part work and part just catching up. We never felt rushed but never felt neglected. Not often you find this kind of atmosphere.
We had the Sunday brunch menu, and my speciality French toast was exceptional.
Outstanding customer service. We had the grilled watermelon salad and pan seared scallops. Both were superb. The duck was outstanding. The grilled halibut was the winner as best halibut I have ever eaten. We got to meet the chef and praised his culinary skills. The interiors, the food, and the service made you feel you were in Manhattan dining at a hip and trendy restaurant. The desserts were key lime tart and mango creme brûlée highly recommend.
Friendly staff. Clean appearance inside and out building and staff
Cannot wait to go back.
The food was great , the service was great. I'm a comfort food guy. The prices were a tad bit high for the portions, but I would go back. We live 5 plus hours away and don't get to Lancaster often, so it will be awhile for we visit again.
Lovely restaurant with really friendly staff. Food was fine, we were there for brunch.
Great service, nice atmosphere, and delicious food.
We’ve wanted to try this restaurant for years and finally did for a quiet 48th anniversary dinner. It was a superb experience. Excellent food and service and quiet enough for us to talk throughout our meal. We will definitely be back.
The food was delicious and our server made our experience so personal and special. It was our anniversary and we had gotten married there 9 years ago, the staff went above and beyond to help us celebrate our special day.
Amazing Food and Service!
Sitting outside is beautiful however they need to do something about bug control, maybe some citronella candles or tiki torches would be beneficial.
Great restaurant! Yummy food ! Nice and quiet place!
The food and service was outstanding. It is a little loud.
Excellent food and drink with a unique atmosphere
Food was presented well & tasty. However, service was less than acceptable. Waiter was not friendly or effective. Did not converse, did the minimum to get by. I have never talked to a wait person about service, but I pulled him aside after & gently explained our discontent. He seemed to ‘get it’ & stated his mother says the same...disappointing.
First time there and we will go again. Very nice restaurant.
First impression as we entered, WOW, absolutely beautiful. Stonework abounds with artifacts on the walls and free standing. Excellent service, delicious food, expansive menu, and a place we shall certainly revisit!
We're not local, so it was a bit tricky trying to find this place, but it was well worth the effort. Love the ambience of the brick/industrial look while still appearing like an upscale establishment.
We were seated somewhat near the front door, so unfortunately we heard every single piece of conversation happening in the lobby (which echoes), especially the gossiping of the hostess and staff.
The crab dip is sublime. Cocktails are very well made, lots of attention paid to the presentation. Will definitely visit again.
Celebrating our 5 year anniversary and they gave us complimentary champagne! Service was prompt and kind. Fantastic drinks and food!
Dinner was absolutely delicious. Received a free glass of champagne for our anniversary. All members of the party cleared their plate. Excited to return again.
Stopped here for brunch, our first time there. We sat outside in a courtyard that was super quiet and nice. The restaurant is part of the Cork Hotel, what used to be a manufacturing plant. The service was excellent, as was the brunch menu. So the ambiance, service, etc was great, the food although good fell short just a bit. Two, of the four in our group, had the lobster roll. It was a bit dry, apparently, not much flavor. I had the "egg" burger, requested medium rare, but it came out well done. It was, however tasty. I'm sure if I requested them to make another, they would have, but we had theater tickets, and didn't have the time. The last of us had a veggie burger, which my sister in law said was excellent! We all had the fries, also excellent, as they had some spices. Water carafe was provided, and kept full, and our waiter was over frequently. Mimosas were available on the menu $8, and select wines, as wine. Monday through Saturday is a larger menu, however, when we got seated, our waiter said if we wanted something that wasn't on the brunch menu, "he'd make it happen". Inside restaurant area was beautiful, a lot of stone work on walls, and a great looking bar area. Restaurant attaches directly to Hotel, which we plan on trying next time were in area. Would definitely recommend and go back again.
Excellent service and food. Beautiful atmosphere. I highly recommend the beef stroganoff - the chef cooked to my taste and satisfaction.
First time and my husband and I truly enjoyed the food and the ambiance. The staff was wonderful and so was the food. Our son and his wife took us there for a father's day dinner - because they had so enjoyed their first time. Loved the atmosphere and all the special details done in the renovation of this historic spot. So much so, that we are bringing a group of our friends to introduce them to a new great place for us!!
Like the casual atmosphere. Excellent dinner. Good place to relax and talk.
I had the rosemary chicken, seasonal veggies and black rice. Outstanding service and food!
We stayed and the hotel and had a quick dinner before heading out to the Sight and Sound theatre. The food was perfectly cooked and both our dishes were very tasty. We did not have any appetizers, but had the meatloaf special and the rosemary chicken. The green beans were the featured veggie and they were amazing. The chicken dish was over a bed of roasted potatoes which were very good. The meatloaf was served with riced cauliflower. Service was perfect and drink list has some unique options.
Amazing experience! We went for lunch, the cocktail menu is unique and fun! The jalapeño simple syrup in the Timmy Gun Tequila is rave worthy. The food was delicious, the bakery was adorable and overall it’s a fantastic complex to just wander around. We will definitely be back!
Excellent food, great atmosphere and they’re open for lunch on Mondays.
