Great service from Sam and food was even better. Very helpful finish was his magic Indian tea which took care of one of the guests.
The food here was outstanding. The mulligatawny soup was the best we had ever had; in fact, my husband said it was the best SOUP he ever had! The more traditional dishes were really delicious. We ordered chicken tikka masala, chicken saag, chicken vindaloo, and chicken biryani. The only dish that was missing something was the tandoori salmon. It was cooked well, but a little fishy. I put some of the saag sauce on it, which worked very well. The garlic naan was puffy perfection. The service could use some improvement. Our server was very nice, but he didn’t always understand what we were asking for. The owner, Sam, spent a lot of time talking to us about his passion for cooking, and they were kind enough to bring my son some cake for his birthday. We will definitely be back!
Really good food. Kind of fusion Indian. Lots of traditional dishes but creative ones as well. Nice staff.
We love this restaurant! The food is delicious, authentic Indian cuisine. The owner is always so warm and inviting. She makes you feel you have come to her own home for a meal.
Food was only ok. The servings are very small for the big prices. There are better Indian restaurants in the area.
Overall ambience was so cozy and pleasant. Food was so delicious! Definitely recommend for anyone who is looking for flavorful, fresh Indian food.
I have been there before and really liked it — mainly cos the manager was there. This time the staff were poor. Sad — the food is good!
The food was good however the waiter didn’t know about restaurant week and they didn’t have a Pinks menu for restaurant week.
While the food was tasty, the overall experience was so poor that I don't know if I would return. We waited tens of minutes (20-30???) for: orders to be taken, for: food to arrive, for: plates to be cleared and bill to come. We were there, in total, for 2 1/2 hours because the service was so slow and bad. We were told that new staff was working that night but, still, that should not excuse the terrible service.
We were introduced to Coriander Modern a few weeks back and have since been back three times. The food is outstanding, and service was terrific as well. They have a sister restaurant in White Plains, and yes, we ate there and the food and service are equal.
We believe this is one of the best all-around Indian restaurant in Westchester.
The food was outstanding but the service was really bad. Too few waiters for a Sat evening. Our appetizers were cold when they finally came but they were very accommodating to bring us warm ones. It was very hard to hear- tables were too close. Even the waiters could not hear us. It was a shame because each bite of food was so flavorful and delicious. Bravo to the chef. Please hire more waiters!
A little bit of a wait for the food but it is worth it.
We visited on a quiet night so ambience not easy to score. Service could've been faster given the amount of diners but the food was great and well priced. As Brits we're used to great curry so getting 4 stars is a good indication that we'll be coming back.
Distinctive menu for when you’re looking for something beyond same-old tikka masala and samosas (although they excel in the classics, too). We were most impressed by their seasonal offerings and locally-sourced ingredients. Highly recommended!
Superb meal and run by Sean who knows what he’s doing!
