   Great to see Chef Gene and the crew preparing a limited menu and making preparations for a full reopening Thursday after the impact of Helene. Food and service was great and spirits were good. This crew and owners have also taken supplies to help devastated areas. Go Go Go!

   Our experience was wonderful. During a power outage due to Hurricane Helene, they stayed open, cooked food on the grill and maintained their reputation of hospitality and great service. The staff was great and we’ll be sure to come back in the future.

   We were seating promptly on the patio as requested. Our server Leah was wonderful. very attentive and friendly. My wife slipped on a pineapple Mojito, enjoying the breeze and the view while we waited for our food. She started with the summer salad, which was refreshing and delicious. I ordered the 8 ounce fillet. It was so tender. You could almost pull it apart without a knife. The flavor was delicious. My wife had the Chilean Seabass and she said it was the best piece of fish she had ever eaten. The flavors were perfect. The risotto was creamy and full of flavor. We found this place by accident, but will make sure it is in our regular rotation. The sunsets are beautiful and the golf course makes it super quiet outside and very peaceful.

   The country club atmosphere was palpable. We liked watching the golfers finish up their games. The menu had a variety of choices. I would advise choosing a more simple fare of meat and veggies. The main cucumber salad was too oily/hot to eat and the flavor profile did not say "Thai". The sea bass was cooked well but the sauce and onion medley (I think that was what it was) was way too salty and took away from the dish. According to my dinner partner, the steak was amazing and baked potato was perfection. The desert in a small cast iron skillet was over-the-top. We will return for the brick oven pizza which looked and smelled delicious.

   We really want Core 450 to get things right. Seems like every other time we go, something goes wrong. Last night was no exception. My husband and daughter are celiacs. Core has done an OK job at making that work, that’s why we like to go. BUT last night my daughter ordered duck, she told them to make sure it was GF. LONG story but one of the chefs came back to the table with her food, she had sent back. And told her it was GF, when in fact it was not, it had Faro on it, in a granola he said. Our daughter had to show him her phone where it said that a key ingredient was in fact wheat and certainly not GF. He was shocked. And there ya go. It’s really important for restaurants to do their homework. Honestly the food is really quite exceptional. My Mom ordered the Chef’s Board and loved it. Kay, our server who we have had 3 times in the past 3 weeks, is great!

   This was our first time to Core 450. The service was great—very friendly server, food came out great, etc. Ambience is nice—open, modern, comfortable. The food was good. My chicken piccata was good but pretty heavily sauced and salty. My wife said her salmon was just ok. I like the place but I wish the food was a notch above.

    Neat location, it is a golf course club. Presentation of food was great. Ordered seared tuna and it was completely cooked through had to send back.
