   Has a weird anniversary meal at Cordo went on our anniversary to this restaurant. Arrived earlier than our reservation and was greeted nice and seated with no issue. That unfortunately was the better part of the service for us. Asked for a bottle of Prosecco but received 2 glasses. The server took our order promptly but then the wait for food and any replenishment of drinks was strangely lacking. Seated at 7.39. Received cold brisket lettuce salad wraps which was strange. With wet cold mushrooms. So the cold dry brisket with zero sauce only got moisture from the water on the lettuce and the water dripping out the mushrooms I found nasty. They cleared 70% of what they served me and didn’t enquire as to why?! No offer of a second drink. At 8.45pm me and my husband sat looking at each other wondering where on earth our meals were. Our server came and dropped off 2 tiny sorbet balls and barely made eye contact after telling us the flavor quickly and bolting! We took this as a delay in the kitchen. At 9 pm I was past even having a desire for a second drink. My glass was empty and my husband chased down a 2nd host. I wanted to just leave. She went off and about 9.15 she came out with our meals that she’d obviously made the kitchen make while she stood over them. No apology for any delay, no communication about any delay, still no offer of a 2nd drink ~ this place totally ruined our 10 year wedding anniversary meal. They did comp the 2 Prosecco as a anniversary gift to us but seemed oblivious to the fact that they’d ruined our evening. For the first time in years my husband pressed ZERO on the tip ! (To be clear, we tip well everywhere- he tipped $5 on 2 coffee earlier in the day, we left without a dessert or a goodbye) . My $57 steak was lovely. My husbands sole was lovely. shame that it was lacking everywhere else. They knew it was our anniversary, they should know they ruined it. Why didn’t we complain? I didn’t want that as my 10yr anniversary memory.

   We had a great evening and meal at Cordo on Saturday. From the hostess at the front, our server and the manager on for the night the service was impeccable. Our server was very knowledgeable on the menu and bar drinks. She made excellent recommendations for our meals and drinks that we all enjoyed. Our meals were delicious all around. We all enjoyed our meals from the appetizers to the dessert. Compliments to the kitchen team. The restaurant was fairly busy but everything was running smooth and our dining experience was excellent. We shall return for another great evening out.

   The Prime Rib dinner was outstanding. Service excellent, Gin flight, Wine and cocktails perfect. We will be back.

   Unfortunately our first experience at Cordo did not go well. It was a busy night and they were short staffed in all areas. We booked a reservation to enjoy the Taste of Kamloops menu knowing that the night would be busy. Our reservation was for 5:15 and we ordered drinks and an appetizer shortly after arriving. That was served quickly and was delicious. The rest of the night did not go well. The restaurant filled quickly between 5:30 and 6pm, the servers were running due to the short staff situation. There was only 2 servers for the entire restaurant side and they were busy taking orders, bartending, running food and clearing tables. It was an uncontrollable situation for the servers that didn’t go smoothly for many guests. Our wait between drink orders and our meal was long, our main when served was cold and overdone possibly due to sitting in the kitchen waiting for the server. At the end of the night the shift manager did apologize and state he was aware of the problem and stated it was due to short staff. He made no attempt to try to rectify to issues only stated his manger would be calling. I hadn’t been to Cordo before but my experience last night will not bring me back as quickly as I had hoped. Altogether not a great dinner experience due to lack of restaurant staff.

   The service was good but there seemed to be only one person doing 90% of the work. Other staff were standing around and not doing much. I ordered a small bowl of soup to start . There were two soups available but I could only get one of them in a small bowl, they wouldn't serve the other that way. I ordered a filet cooked medium but it came medium rare. It tasted good though.There was only one choice of potatoes and none in the type of vegetables. My wife ordered steak Diane and she liked it. There wasn't a lot of choices in the wine list. What they had was ok but not great. There was no bartender on duty. Choices of desert was limited. Overall, the price was reasonable but we won't be in a hurry to return.

   Service was indifferent and slow. 10 minutes after arrival before first approached with water. Inexplicable delay between starter course and main course. Two managers who appeared to do very little.

   The food was delicious, and well portioned for the most part. Our server was great too! We come here often, and I don’t think we’ve had a bad meal.

   Very open very bright, which is great for average cuisine!!! the food was great no complaints, but the ambiance could be a little more personal!! other than that very good

   Our food and overall experience were amazing as always, the three courses meal was delicious and a fantastic deal! The only drawback was our server, I don't recall her name. She was a little lackluster, we felt more welcomed and looked after by the other server working who took our drink order, brought them, he brought our amuse-bouche and appetizers, and checked on us at least once. Our actual server hardly checked in. She never asked if we wanted more drinks/left before we could order more. I wasn't thrilled. She was not outright rude or mean, but not very attentive or friendly. This didn't really impact our overall dinner and experience, just a bummer in contrast to the service we have received in the past.
