Corazon Mexican Kitchen Ratings and Reviews
The food is terrible. Inedible guacamole, not seasoned and served warm. The only spice was cheese. Don't order it. The fajitas were tough and difficult to chew. And not served with any condiments. This restaurant has gone down in quality. Avoid it!
After a handful of visits I think this spot is a good find for PV. Good dishes, but the service is regularly slow. Guacamole took so long as an appetizer that the entrees came first server asked if we wanted to cancel it. Good options on the menu, with a couple of weird trendy things like Sriracha that don't belong at a restaurant like this. All in all, if they tighten up the service and trim down the menu here or there, this place could go from good to great.
Food was just ok. Would be great if they expanded the menu and offered more items (regular tamales, chicken/chicken mole burritos, gorditas, deep fried cinnamon ice cream/rice pudding, etc...) as well as more items on Happy Hour Menu. And black beans standard with dishes?? Should be pinto w/the option to have black beans.
Wait staff seemed to be very young and inexperienced. We were lost in the shuffle and had to go find out waiter to take our order. Food eventually showed but not hot. Had to resend for a warm up. Food seemed to have potential but service needs a major upgrade.
I took my mom and family here for Mother's Day, and was one of the only places with an open table for last minute reservations.
I had a party of 8 and this place is not good for big groups, we got seated by the kitchen area, away from
everyone and everything. They have the main dining area, an outside patio area and the bar area. And we got seated by the kitchen for our Mother's Day brunch.
The food was decent, they only have wine and beer, so the margaritas are wine based, they aren't very good.
This place may be good to grab a bite and go, but not for a special occasion.
The food was excellent. My husband had the enchilada mole (the best I've ever tasted) and I had the grilled chicken tacos with mango and they were delicious. I ordered a glass of chardonnay, but they were out. So I ordered a glass of pinot noir, they were out! So I ended with a merlot, which was fine. The price of dinner was reasonable. The restaurant seemed on the small side, so I would make reservations.
Our reservation was for around 7:30 in the evening. They sat us outside where it was around 55 degrees and the heaters didn't work. We waited for 20 minutes before someone came to our table. The server wasn't apologetic at all and was more annoyed about the fact that I voiced we had waited for 20 minutes. We immediately left and won't try again. Given the fact that the menu was so limited, probably wasn't worth it anyway.
I found this restaurant through Open Table. The staff were great and the location nice. The food however was hit and miss. I had the salmon which was exceptional. My dining partner had the steak tacos which were just ok (meat was tough and fatty). The margaritas were also a disappointment, tasting watered down without much of a tequila or citrus essence.
we were greeted from a distance and waved into the restaurant by the server. It was a slow night, we did not see many people dining (not a big deal). We had chips and salsa while looking over the menu. We had an appetizer ofcalamari (good). The entrees were taco trio (the steak was spicy, if you like that soft of thing) and enchilada, both with beans and rice (which was very good). We also had mocha /coffee flan, which had a really sweet syrup on it. Also took home leftovers, since after all that was a lot of food. The food was good, and the service as well.
Eight (foodie) friends went to Corazon this past week. The food was really good - so different from more ordinary Mexican cuisine. Thoughtfully prepared chile rellenos; carnitas; and tacos were really good. Group started with margharitas and beers and had guacamole for appetizer. Lots of good chips and salsa. The server was friendly and kept apologizing for slightly slow service as "everyone in the restaurant" came at the very same time. Service was a bit slow but we didn't mind as server was friendly and caring....Would recommend giving this restaurant a try. Beware - there was no sign out front to mark the restaurant so we had to peek in to make sure we were at the right place.
the food was excellent and interesting. the atmosphere was very pleasant--lighting nice and booths always a plus. The service was substandard. Train your staff on how to best wait on tables. Our waiter proposed that we look at the Price Fixed menu for valentines day then completely forgot and we never received it. I ordered Chicken Enchalades and I got cheese instead. I never said anything. He seemed overwhelmed and spaced out. Get table staff that matches the excellent food and environment. Also, we'd never gone to the restaurant before and we are locals. I had printed out groupon coupons and was informed immediately that the restaurant would not accept them for Valentines Day. Surprises are NEVER good.
