We spent the evening at Coqueta for my girlfriends birthday and had a fabulous time. The service and food were incredible and we would be happy to visit again! Thank you for making her birthday memorable!
Love Coquetta. The food is both interesting and wonderful. I’m Pescatarian and there are tons of great options. Really great drinks and interesting wines too. And being outside on the Embarcadero is awesome.
Lovely lunch with awesome apps, serving attention, delish original drinks.
I've been here twice, and the first time it was an amazing experience. Fast and personalized service with great food. The second time the service was slow and intermittent. They forgot three of the things we ordered and went full half-hours without checking in, pouring water, or bringing out more food. The food was good, but some of it was overcooked.
Across the board, good food and good restaurant. But the inconsistent service makes me think that it's best to go at a time where business is light.
The tapas are amazing. We ordered the paella the first time we ate here and it was burnt and inedible; they remade it for us and it also - unfortunately - arrived at our table burnt and inedible.
But the tapas are amazing and so is the service-!!
The wait for our food was sooo long. It took over an hour and a half to get our paella and steak. And the steak was very rare and we asked for medium rare. We just didn’t dare send it back for fear of it taking forever!
Great service from Dennis & team! Loved the flexibility on table (last minute switch). Epic cocktails and good wine. Loved all our dishes. Only wish we had more of it. Portion sizes are modest so order lots!
Don’t get the churros or coffee at 10:30 pm.
service and food great, little over priced for lunch, but overall great. was also a bit windy and we were seated in an uncovered spot so it was cold 🥶
Excellent food and drinks. Truffle smoked salmon with honey on baguette was incredible. Octopus was so tender and perfectly seared. Cocktails to die for. Service is so prompt and polite, no hassle to check in and be seated. The outdoor space was heated and covered so the rain was not a bother. Will be returning.
We sat outside and loved it. We had a nice table, prompt service and food was delicious. Can’t wait to go back again.
The service was great. The food was not so great. We ordered deviled eggs; they were okay. We also ordered the seafood paella and it was horrible. The rice was mist hard and had a strong taste of tomato paste as if they just dumped the paste straight from the can without adding or cooking it. The drinks were just "okay". It was our first time here and definitely will not go back.
Had a lovely time. Food and service were fantastic! Looking forward to our return!
Incredible meal. Definitely try to sit inside, the outdoor tent can get a little loud.
I was hoping to sit inside but was put on an outside table
Great service. Great menu that has plenty of delicious vegan options as well as meat and fish. The vegan paella was delicious. I loved the trumpet mushrooms! They were even delicious without the egg yolk but my meat eating friend loved it with the egg. Also loved the olives and sangria. My friend loved the manchego cheese cake lollipops with fresh caramel corn and the whole shrimp. Highly recommend. Great spot down by the bay.
Loved it so much. Thanks a lot
Great Spanish food, amazing Jamon Iberico, wonderful pulpo, fantastic croquette, incredible albondigas, and some great wine!
Took my Lady here for a birthday dinner. Continually amazed by the each dish and cocktail as they came out. Was scintillated by the presence of celebrities at a table behind us.
Outdoor (tented) dining was a bit chilly for most of our dinner. Fixed heater placement wasn't quite up to the task of keeping us warm.
Overall this spot still has the magic!
It was ok. It was certainly not a value but it was my mom's birthday and was not looking for a value, I was however looking for flavor and it was lacking. We ordered the Rabbit Paella and it needed a lot of seasoning. It was not bad but for $50 it should have had some flavor. It was a nice place and the service was good, the sangria was great but overpriced. I did not hate it but I did not love it.
Food was not good at all!!!! Fish was so salty to a point where I couldn’t even eat it. and pasta had no salt. Paid $200 for a very bad experience. Will never come again nor recommend it to my friends and family. Should’ve taken my mom somewhere else for her 70th birthday. Very disappointed.
Overall lackluster. I felt like this was a bit of a tourist restaurant. Pricey fancy drinks with foam and flowers, and "authentic" Spanish food that was over thought and contrived. We had the patatas bravas- nada q ver- I think the traditional Spanish dishes ought to be delivered with excellent quality- in this case over the top brava sauce and ailoli, but give me enough sauce, I would have preferred that.. I didn't think the dishes were particularly creative and I was unimpressed. Dessert was uninspired mil hojas impression. Nice location. Easy near-by parking. $$$ .
LOVE! Great food and wonderful experience!! Happy to be able to try the paella (as SF Restaurant Week special) without the wait! Don’t miss the Frozé on a warm day outside!!
It was a fun lunch! So many yummy dishes! We really enjoyed it
Coqueta never disappoints. The food, the drinks, the staff and everything about it is truly amazing. A San Francisco must try!
Tapas are excellent. Great outdoor seating under a big tent. Service is great. The hardest thing is to decide what to order! Don’t miss the pulpo!!
Delicious food! Attentive staff. I would definitely go back again.
It was amazing! The drinks were to die for. We did restaurant week menu and it was totally worth the money!
I've visited Coqueta before but decided to try indoor dining since it's SF Restaurant Week. It was great that they checked out temperatures before entering, but the tables felt like they were situated too close together.
When we sat down, water and menus were brought over. 10 minutes later, someone finally stopped by to take our DRINK orders. and another 10 minutes later, someone else came to take our food order.. All in all, I felt that orders could have been taken sooner.
The food from the menu was okay, and we ordered a few additional dishes that we have enjoyed in the past. Overall, I felt that the meal would have been better if we just ordered on its own and not off of the SF Restaurant Week menu and probably came another time when it was slower and less crowded.
We were excited to eat at Coqueta, but were disappointed with our experience. The Sangria we ordered was the "Laziest" sangria we ever had, with just a couple of grapes dropped in the glass - no citrus or apple chunks marinated in high quality sangria. We started with a round of their Pintxos, bit sized skewers and while they looked good, they were only average in taste and quality.
We were very happy with the Bocadillo de La Casa "Bikini", the hot eggplant Tapa, which both looked good and was very tasty but everything went downhill from there. The Smoked salmon appetizer included smoked salmon that was very fibrous - hard to cut even with a serrated knife and the Pan con Tomate was just toast and a bland tomato sauce.
Our dinner, the Paella Mar y Montana, was our biggest disappointment. We were hoping for a tasty main dish and while the shrimp were fine, there were only 4 medium size shrimp, a few slices of chorizo, a few clams and mussels all on top of some overcooked and overly salted rice.
Amazing food and Service!! Will be back! Fantastic view of bay bridge as well. highly recommend
The gin and tonics alone is reason to come here!
Food is excellent and the cocktail menu is fabulous! Service could use a little refinement but what started out as bumpy improved over the evening. Great location and the restaurant has a great energy!
The quality of the food and presentation were magnificent. The service was slow and food came out at different times. But all in all, I'd highly recommend their inventive menu. It was Restaurant Week when I went and I had a three course lunch. I had a beet salad drizzled with balsamic vinegar with a whipped chevre cheese. The seafood paella and for dessert, a huckleberry sorbet. Excellent!
Best tapas I have had since I was in Barcelona 😜Fabulous seafood paella as well. Not to miss!!
Magnificent food and service!
Wonderful. Will be back for sure.,,
Food was beyond delicious. Restaurant looks as great as ever. Front of the house went out of their way to accommodate our seating request. Service was a little off but I’m pretty sure they were not fully staffed as we went right after restaurants opened up seating capacity which was understandable.
Amazing. We have come to this place several times but it was the first time bringing our 13 year old and they loved it. We had the potatoes, the octopus, the huevos nacionales, the mar y Tierra paella and the veggie paella. The sangria was delicious as well. This is definitely my favorite place and I highly recommend it.
