Victor was the best, but we never saw our server.
Love this place
LOVE this place! Everythin
Beautiful decor and location.
Service was slow and seemed distracted.
Food was good except for the shrimp and potato straws dish (can’t recall the tapas name). That was the most pitiful plate for a upscale restaurant. Small shrimp, not fresh at all (think frozen grocery), mixed with oil/seasoning and potato straws. Not good in any regard.
Would probably eat there again, but not a given.
It was amazingly delicious. Well thought out dishes to make your senses explode! Well done!!! To dine for!
The The wait staff kept forgetting our orders. It took more than 20 minutes just to get bread. They brought the first appetizer rather quickly. The second one did not show up and after more than a half an hour we asked for the check and left. It was a big disappointment.
Very attentive staff.
Food was wonderful.
We ate in a corner table indoors that was perfectly
The setas were amazing! Really great food, though it came to our table out of order. New server was super nice.
This is my favorite place in the city. Love everything about it: food, service, drinks, ambiance and location 💕
Beautifully rustic setting with a view of the bay bridge. A great place to enjoy Spanish tapas.
Everything was delicious. The pacing of the arrival of our dishes was perfect. We had datiles, patatas bravas, albondigas, and mar y montana paella. I highly recommend Coqueta for a nice celebration.
This was a very disappointing experience. We had been looking forward to dining there. From the approach to the entrance as we arrived for our reservation, there was sense of indifference from the staff. The hostess was very polite and accommodating as to seating arrangements. That was pleasing. However, we waited for at least 7 minutes for any attention from the wait staff-- although there were many present in the room and there was only one other dining couple in the room. We finally caught the glance of a staff person. He kindly asked if we needed anything. Since he was only on his second day there he was unable to answer certain quick questions, but brought us samples of two wines. Several minutes later, our waiter finally arrived to take orders of wine, appetizers and main courses. The Jamón Ibérico de Bellota at $29 was underwhelming and a very small portion, Patatas Bravas were a good value with a tasty sauce. The alleged sea bass, Lubina de Mar, was as thin as a trout and the Paella Mar y Montaña was not well-seasoned, the four prawns were rubbery and tasteless, we had to ask for seasoning. Also, we had asked and they agreed to prepare the sea bass as it was described in the online menu with cara cara oranges, but when it arrived it was not to be. Nearly at the end, we had to remind the waiter that an order had not come out from the kitchen. By the time it arrived we had practically finished and were ready to exit the scene of the crime. Crime? Yes, it was a $260 for two rip off. The sangria was interesting and also overpriced, at $12 for 8oz. We will pass this one by next time. Maybe only for ambience, drinks and a couple of tapas, but not a meal.
Great food, as always. A litewindy in the outdoor area, but this is to be expected in SF. We were seated at 5pm, which is too early for most people, but it was nice to eat in an uncrwded space.
Great food and ambiance
The heater was working incorrectly. They were rude to our dog. Quality of food has gone down
Iberico pork shoulder was outstanding! The egg and chorizo dish just so so. Lamb meatballs very good. Patatas bravos need to be creamier on inside and crispier on outside. They were slightly underdone.
Lovely from start to finish
I recommend Coqueta in spite of the difficulties on my last visit. Service was poor. Food was good. I prefer the indoor dining - the tent outside does not appeal to me at all. Music was what I think is Spanish rap, loud & endless loop of words. Hopefully on my next visit there will improvements. I have been dining at Coqueta from the first month that it opened & hope to enjoy the interesting food that the chef prepares.
the crispy calamari was great alternative to the single tapas version fior two. Fresh and delicious. Served with ink aioli. Nice touch. The main meal, paella was very mediocre. Nice location ! Waitress nice but literally asked us but feed server to move around our glasses and plates to accommodate paella plate.... they should one before and set table up instead if grunting , “Move your glass “. Also, we were buying a bottle if wine, told waitress and we asked to taste first. She fought one of us a tiny glass with the rubies for tastes and we had to share it, luckily we were both vaccinated and willing to. That was very “cheap” especially since we were buying it at 58 dollars a bottle ..
Really fun and good food! Lots of unique cocktails!
Drinks take too long!
Food was delicious, per usual. Service was simply awful.
That said, it’s post Covid and perhaps they are working on getting it back together!
THE BEST TAPAS PLACE IN THE BAY AREA. AUTHENTIC LIKE WE HAVE HAD IN SPAIN KICKS BUT ON THE PLACE IN WALNUT CREEK. WORTH GOING TO!!
Waiting 15 minutes for water and drink order. Waiter checked on us very infrequently. Very disappointed in experience.
As always, a terrific experience. Food was a treat and our server Dennis was a joy.
We’ve been going for years & yesterday’s experience was the worst. We were seated under the plastic tent under the sun even though I asked for shade. We were told we had the table for 2 hrs. and it took a really long time for someone to greet us & take our drink order, then we waited a long time for the drinks to come. Then we waited even longer to get the starters (olives/almonds). Finally a different server came to take our food order, we told him we’ve been waiting a long time & we originally had another server, he apologized & said there was some confusion - I’ll say!! The crew was nice & polite but whoever’s managing the restaurant should be fired because Coqueta’s better than this, it really was amateur hour. Then they decided to open up the tents with 20 mph winds so that was pretty dumb & further killed the dining experience. I’ll be boycotting this place for a while until they get their act together. Foid was superb as always but service was terrible!
Great place, the food was excellent! Rodrigo, our server, was amazing- very informative and did a fantastic job!
Food was creative & delicious. Expect high prices but we were pleased.
We enjoyed our Father's day lunch at Coqueta very much! We were seated right away even though we were early. The food is original and delicious - the tapas are as good as in Spain and the churros were great!
This is our second time here. This time, we decided to try the Paella Valenciana and it did not disappoint! Everything else was delicious as well. Next time, we plan on trying the ribeye if we get a couple more family members with us. And we got the same server, Marco, as the first time. He was friendly and attentive!
Food was very good. Authentic to Spanish cuisine but also creative. Very well done. Will def return.
Expensive for what you get. The quality of the food is great.
The hostess Laura was really rude about seating us . However our server was excellent and food was great too which made up for the bad start.
There’s only one server for the whole building. Hard to call the server to get a service
Although the food was good, the service was below my basic expectations.
My main arrived before the starter, which wasn’t great.
I’ve ordered a dessert, but was waiting for it so long that I had to cancel it. Once I informed the waiter to cancel it, he brought it. Too late.
But even though I wasn’t totally happy, I would come back.
Honestly was a bit underwhelming. Was very disappointed after all the hype. Clams were so dried out on the paella - disintegrated while eating. Drinks were the highlight. Not sure if I will return I or recommend.
Great food and cocktails. Service was excellent and extremely accommodating to our dog (sat us away from the aisle and served her a dog bowl of water)!
Overall nice place and good food. A bit loud next to the street, paella was undercooked
I have been to Coquetta 3 or 4 times now. Everything is always delicious, the service is both professional and friendly and the ambience is welcoming. I always order both hot and cold tapas which are, again, always well-prepared and delicious. Great place to sit to enjoy the view of the bay, kick back and relax.
