We had a fabulous evening. Unique little bites were yummy.
My husband is now interested more in mixology as well. Unique and delicious cocktails.
We shared appetizers and all had bowls of soup or gumbo, which seemed like good choices on a chilly fall day. Our favorite appetizer was the pimento cheese, which was yummy. The shrimp toast was very greasy and the pepper relish was cold and a little slimy. My gumbo was barely warm. The flavor was good but it was mostly broth with very little chicken and no andouille at all.
Great place for night out with significant other or group. Great food and drinks. Desserts need more choices but all in all great place!
Beautiful place with great food and easy parking. The burger is perfect, cheese plates nice for sharing and the main dishes are all amazing. Great for lunch or dinner. Perfect place to grab a drink too!
Great food and service Please thank our Server. She was very good.
This place was so disappointing. The only veggie option was a very plain sandwich, and it was $15!!! Insane. Everything was super expensive for what it was--mediocre. Not worth it at all. Also, it was SO LOUD. There were tons of tables open and yet everyone was seated in one little corner. My boyfriend and I couldn't hear each other over the noise so we had to sit for half the meal in silence, it was so frustrating.
On Tuesday, October 2nd, six of us had a lovely breakfast at Coppin’s- Hotel Covington. It was the first visit there for each of us. It is a gorgeous place for any meal or drinks! It is a historic building decorated in an updated manner with exposed brick walls, and furniture of simple lines. Coppin’s history as a department building is honored with artifacts from its past, which are a pleasure to see. There is a wall of windows, which borders a very inviting outdoor dining and sitting area. The plants alone are stunning!
All of us were very pleased with the dishes we ordered. Each was presented in a beautiful manner and tasted delicious, which included an omelet, frittata, and the CVG. The service was impeccable!
We thoroughly enjoyed the entire experience! We are all planning on coming back for dinner and spreading the word to family and friends!
I have been to Coppin's several times before and it continues to exceed my expectations.
The wait staff is attentive and helpful.
The menu has unique choices for individual meals AND for shared dishes.
Their crafted cocktails never disappoint...their wine list is excellent.
Coppin's is within a 5-mile radius of many wonderful restaurants. IMHO they are in the Top Five.
GO THERE SOON!
Very noisy. Hard to have a conversation. The $25 Restaurant Week 3 course meal was a very good value. My friend ordered a second glass of wine, which got lost in the shuffle, and was delivered too late, so she refused it. All 4 of us enjoyed our meals.
Our time at Coppin’s was lovely. And my whole review reflects that! My ONLY thought is that the portion sizes, both of drinks and food, could be a little larger. Otherwise, make reservations, it’s most enjoyable!
We made a lunch reservation at Coppin's since they offered Restaurant Week menu for lunch and we wanted to try somewhere new. As we were seated we were told that the special menu did not apply for 'brunch.' Nowhere on the Restaurant Week menu did is say that it was not available on Saturday. We were disappointed but ordered lunch off the regular menu. The food was okay but we will not return.
Great New Orleans Flair. Crab cakes were very good as an appetizer. Restaurant Week menu was well portioned.
Food is really good and the place is beautiful. Service was excellent as well. The portions are just really small. I don't usually mind small portions but my shrimp had only three shrimps in it. We were both still hungry after dinner and dessert.
Loved coppins from the beginning it opened. But since new chef tried it 3 times and every time disappointed, will still come but just for an appertizer and a drink or just coffee as I love Hotel Covington’s ambiance.
This is truly a hidden architectural gem. The dining space is fantastic, they have repurposed outer walls with beautiful planters and a gorgeous outdoor fireplace. The interior dining room has a greenhouse effect that gives you a wonderful view of the courtyard. The food was very good, only 1 of the 9 dishes we had was a disappointment. Our server was knowledgeable and had great recommendations.
Service was wonderful and ambiance always fantastic.
Our hostess was very apologetic due to our wait to be seated. Food was very good other than my husband finding a chicken bone in the Chicken Tortilla soup. Our waiter Aaron was very good so we didn’t want to complain about the soup. Drinks were very pricey. I asked for a table near the wall because my husband is hard of hearing. We were granted that but it was very loud anyway.
Fun spot for dinner, drinks, people watching and shopping for very special items. Food was great and prepared as requested.
This was one of the most amazing dinners my husband and I have had in Cincinnati in a LONG time. We heard the chef was known for fish, and that couldn’t be more true. His tuna crudo was bursting with flavor. The fresh catch was insane. The appetizers, side and scene was phenomenal! The only feedback I could give (and this is a compliment really), was for the staff to not clear plates until the plates are 100% clean....because the food is THAT good!
Wanted to put us at a table in the bar even though we had made reservations at least 2 weeks earlier. Service was very slow. Food not bad but certainly nothing to brag about.
Got the scallops and ham for my entree. Scallops were perfectly cooked. Dirty rice perhaps not the best choice to accompany scallops. Need something with a little more flavor to offset the blandness of the scallops. Service was great, and overall ambience was comfortable and welcoming.
They got our order completely wrong and fixed it on the spot. Just gave us extra food. We just got drinks and two side dishes to eat light and I thought the bill was a surprise. The cost $ 67 with a tip we paid $ 80
We love this place, but the last time we had dinner and drinks with the tip it cost $ 120 ?
This time, just hors d’oeuvres and the bill surprised me. Food was great, staff was great and I loved the specialty Manhattans.
We will be back. A little expensive, but I do enjoy the Hotel Covington. A great dinning experience
Coppins is never a disappointment. It is always my go to for out of town guests or for a quick last-minute healthy meal for us for lunch or dinner!! The atmosphere is unbelievable. I think it is the best all-around restaurant in Northern Kentucky.
The live music was so loud you could not have a conversation at the table because we could not hear each other. Our server said she would ask the manager to have them turn the volume down but it either didn't happen or they turned it down one notch because we still could not hear one another.
This was our 1st visit-- table if 8 Ladies!
Love the ambiance!
Our server Celia was very sweet, nice and accommodating !
Restaurant was not fully stocked on all items, so this was 1 negative.
They must've had a busy weekend!
Otherwise-- foods were tasty and interesting.
We even got to meet Chef Mitch! ! He was nice enough to stop by and chat w/ Us for a minute!
We will be back!
They were running behind, so they offered Mimosas, so that was nice...Service was slow. we waited an hour for the food, and the order was not right. Fritters removed from the menu for brunch...
We visited Coppin’s for brunch to celebrate a friend’s upcoming baby. The server was wonderful and offered us celebratory champagne (and juice). When the small plate we ordered (bread pudding) was unavailable, the manager case out to tell us and provided an alternate solution (goetta pastry puffs) - which was surely as delicious as what we’d order, if not more so. The meal was delicious (kale salad with salmon) and a great value for the price ($18). I’d absolutely recommend and visit again!
We met my Father In Law for breakfast and sat in the glass solarium room! I wanted to be outside but this was just as lovely! Food was excellent as was our server! Poached eggs prepared as requested with runny yolks, delicious whole grain toast (although I was wishing I’d ordered the biscuit my father in law had because it looked so tasty).
Very nice bar with tremendous beer/wine/cocktail offerings (especially bourbon). The dining area is gorgeous, great for a romantic dinner or special occasion. The menu serves everyone. It can be as upscale as diners would like it to be while offering plenty of "safe" options. The staff seals the deal. Everyone was extremely personable, helpful and they really went above and beyond for us (I mentioned in the reservation note that it was my girlfriend's birthday - they brought us each a glass of champaign.) We're looking forward to the next trip!
We went here for Sunday brunch and were pleasantly surprised. We had our children (ages 3 and 8) and the restaurant was very accommodating from a menu perspective. The food was so good. My husband had the Roebling Eggs Benedict and he said it was one of the best eggs Benedict he has ever had. I had the avocado quinoa toast and it was so good. The bread pudding was also delicious. They have a great little selection of boozy brunch drinks that we each tried. I was surprised at how much alcohol each had for a brunch drink but they were still tasty, despite being a tad strong.
I also really enjoyed the atmosphere. It was a nasty rainy day but it looked like they had some cute outdoor patio seating that would have been nice on a better day. It’s very modern and given that it is inside a hotel next to the lobby there’s a lot of comfy and inviting seating that almost makes you want to stick around after your meal.
I definitely will go back and would love to stay in one of their rooms at some point if they are as nice as the lobby and restaurant!
Also - street parking which is diagonal to the restaurant is free on Sunday mornings.
Service was horrible. The server either had no training on how to serve bottles of wine or didn’t care. Their wines are extremely overpriced, and to them have a person not know to offer a taste prior to serving the bottle is unacceptable, the server just poured out. They forgot an entree and then forgot a dessert. Really, you didn’t learn the first time you for got something at our table? Just not what you want on an evening out. Very disappointing.
Spontaneous but a great time! Try the bourbon mule!
We had a reservation. No one came to the host stand. We waited over 20 minutes. Finally another patron came up to us and suggested we sit at the bar as they waited 45 minutes to be seated. Unacceptable.
Enjoyed our breakfast but was disappointed when the jelly served was plain old grape, it did no justice to the delicious biscuit.
The restaurant was far from busy, but our server had another big party and couldn’t handle both. It took 30mins and stopping another server to get our drinks, and another 30 mins to get our checks. The manager bought us a round of drinks to apologize, but it was still not a good experience.
Open Table needs to add "pet friendly" to list of recommendation reasons. Coppin's is definitely dog friendly as they welcomed our pups with open arms and pets! But we don't just come here because it is dog friendly - the food is great! We come here for Sunday brunch, but we need definitely need to come for other meals as I am sure they are just as great.
Cassie, our server, was wonderful! The entire Coppins’ staff creates a fantastic customer experience for their guests.
Have never been disappointed with my meal at Coppin and love some of the new menu items but please put the bourbon pecan pie back on the menu!
We are frequent visitors and decided to just share small plates rather than entrees. The drinks are always great as is the service. As to sit outside for the best ambiance.
