Coppin's - Hotel Covington
Fri, Sat 7:30 am–10:00 pm
Sat, Sun 11:00 am–12:00 am
My only reasoning in not giving 5 outstanding stars is I went to Santa brunch which was super kid friendly and we had a fabulous time- but the bathrooms do not have a diaper changing station.
Had a delicious get together lunch with two of my best friends. Beautiful atmosphere and festive as other groups were celebrating the holidays and friendship. Our waiter was exceptional as well. Thank you.
Beautiful holiday decorations, great food and our server Aaron was amazing.
Our first visit and thoroughly enjoyed
Coppin's is a great restaurant in the relatively new Hotel Covington. Incredible food with a creative, but not too out there menu. A wonderful place for dining with your date, your family or business associates. The bar is also a great place to meet for drinks or a quite bite. Coppin's is leading the way for the Covington renaissance.
The drinks were great, but were out of their specialty glasses for them so they were served in significantly smaller glasses. We each ordered a burger medium well and mine was raw on the center. After sending it back they thought a new one back equally as raw, but the other person in our parties was cooked perfectly.
Food was underwhelming and very small portions for the money
Work event dinner at Coppins. Service was excellent. Food was ok. The menu is somewhat limited. One persons steak was very undercooked. Cheese on the meat and cheese tray was so hard it was nearly impossible to cut. Rest of the meals were good, wine selections are good too. Great bourbon list.
Outstanding service and wonderful food with fun and creative flavors! Can’t wait to go back.
The only disappointing item was the Malbec you offer by the glass. Worst we ever had you may want to find a better choice.
Fantastic location in the “turned around” area of Covington. Great ambiance from the moment you walk in. Service was great all the way around and the small dining area made for attentive staff that were always there to answer questions and offer suggestions. We will definitely be going back.
We really enjoyed our time at Coppins. Food was yummy and service was friendly. Music too loud and techno.
We had good food and great service. The staff even offered to help with the granddaughter!
No beer alternative to craft beer. Soup was cold, Hamburger was rare and greasy, fries were old, menu selection was limited. Inattentive waitress.
Good food, good server, interesting space, would return.
It was indicated in the Opentable reservation that Thanksgiving Turkey dinner would be served with our seating assignment as 5:00 pm.
There was no turkey dinner on the menu.
My wife and I watched as they were finalizing the turkey brunch; we were waiting in anticipation for a fine turkey dinner with all the trimmings. All we needed was to be seated and place our order for the turkey, alas "no turkey".
I and my wife are very disappointed in the disconnect in communication that Opentable and Coppin's did not achieve.
There were at least three other couples that were seated near us that had the same expectation, and ultimately the same disappointment
At this point I would never use Opentable again.
Coppin's Thanksgiving Buffet was what brought us here for our first visit. The staff was friendly in conversation and helpful in food suggestions. The food was wonderful and there were many twists on classic foods that made the dishes have a special touch. We sat in the "outdoor" area which is actually enclosed but overlooks the patio...even on a busy day it was spacious with comfortable seating and a relaxed atmosphere. Can't wait to return!
This was the first time we have been to Coppin’s. We came to enjoy Thanksgiving brunch. The ambience was great and the food was excellent! Absolutely no complaints at all. We will be back.
Sydney the bartender was so welcoming and knowledgeable. Kirsten our server made sure we had a wonderful birthday celebration and made our experience special.
Great service!!! Delicious food.
Wonderful time with the future in laws celebrating an early thanksgiving
A lovely place with stylish decor, great food, and very good service. Creative menu and nicely presented food make for a nice night out!
Dinner was fantastic - food was well prepared and unique. Bourbon crush to drink was amazing. Wait staff in restaurant was very attentive. We had drinks in the bar before dinner, service was super slow which was too bad given that it is a really fun bar scene.
We have had many meals at Coppins and have never been disappointed. It’s a small but nice menu.
The only reason I deducted one star on the food is because the corn fritters and tots were way too salty for my taste. Everything else was wonderful. The service was excellent. We received complimentary champagne since we were celebrating a birthday. Great atmosphere too.
Meeting girl friends for breakfast!
Food and service were very good. Only complaint is they don't validate parking. No other place to park so there is no excuse not to validate parking in the city garage next to restaurant/hotel.
Atmosphere is excellent; service was prompt; and food was delicious. But we found the cost of dinner for three (i.e., one bottle of wine, three entrees, and three deserts) at $200, including tip, to be excessive for an organizational budget. Will not return.
Love this place - especially after the crowds of wedding season diminish. It’s our go-to staycation destination.
Service was slow but the servers were friendly.
On previous visits we found Coppin’s to be extremely noisy, but our previous visits were on Sunday’s. We had brunch on Saturday and found the noise level very acceptable, the service smoother and the food delivered in a timely manner and all meals delivered at the same time.
Food was good, service was not.
Excellent soup and cornbread. Charcuterie was pretty good. Entrees were solid but not as much of a standout as the soups
The service May have been the Worst I have experienced in years. I dine out at least 100 dinners a year. (And have for years) The server couldn’t be found. We waited 20 minutes to get greeted 20 more to receive our first drink. 10 or longer to order appetizers which I had to ask for. Then they were forgotten. Until our main dinners came. Of which we no longer wanted appetizers. Then our phantom server disappeared again. Until we were all done. I made the mistake to ask for another glass of wine. 20 or 30 more minutes to receive wine for which we were now ready to leave so I asked for our bill.
I enjoy a relaxed dinner but I expect good service. This dinner was painful as most the time we sat with empty glasses. No ketchup with our expensive hamburgers.
This is the second time there. The first was delightful. This time the food would have been good but the service on a scale of 1-10 was a 1. Lucky for the server I gave the the bill to my wife otherwise I would have tipped a penny.
And of course no offer made to comp the appetizers. Also good we were with friends. They too were terribly disappointed.
I don’t care about their excuses. My wife and I needed a nice night out and Coppins let us down.
First time here, we loved it! Celebrated our wedding anniversary and our adult daughter’s birthday. Our waitress did a great job of taking care of our needs without hanging over us. Drinks were unique and delicious, appetizers were great, entrees were delicious! Sirloin steak best ever. Burger was to die for! The renovation of this historic building and the contemporary decor is beautiful! Even the gift shop was full of unique offerings. We will definitely return!
Absolutely fantastic restaurant! Highly recommend and will definitely be back!
Our waitress was very unfamiliar with the menu so we found ourselves listening in to the tables around us and their waiters. Other than that, AMAZING FOOD!
Excellent food and service for dinner and breakfast. Wonderful late night snacks from ‘the hole in the wall’! Great bar!
Drinks were great! Corn fritters great! Dinner entrée just OK... This is my second time and entrée both times just OK.
