Coppin's - Hotel Covington
This was my first dinner in a restaurant since the quarantine. The staff followed sanitation procedures and the tables are space to maintain social distance. The food and the service were amazing. I will definitely go again soon for dinner.
Had a wonderful experience catching up with a girlfriend on the patio. This is always a go-to spot for me when I’m in town.
Beautiful setting, great cocktails and delicious food!
Managers and staff were all amazing and very accommodating. Salmon is absolutely to die for!
It was wonderful, we started with the sweet potato fritters with the pear salad and split the scallops. So good. The chef uses great ingredients in a fresh and delicious way. We enjoyed every bite. Great service and server. Great atmosphere, great bar!
Absolutely loved the ambiance - food was excellent, service also excellent and friendly, will definitely continue to go to Hotel Covington!
Beautiful dining room. We had the crab cake special and salmon dishes. Both were fantastic. Staff was friendly and personable. Very loud and hard to have conversations.
Cop points was a very convenient location as my associate was staying at the Hotel Covington. I thought the menu was a bit limited in terms of offerings but there certainly were a variety of choices. Our food was very good and the service was both attentive and friendly. We both enjoyed our meals.
Great friendly service, the tempura wild mushrooms were unique and tasty. We had the scallops and the striped bass, both very nice!
Yet again, my wife and I had a wonderful time. Great vibe in the lobby and Coppin's. The team is friendly and attentive, the food is delicious, and everything comes together to make an evening special. GM Jack Olshan has built a great family of dedicated folks.
One of the nicest dining experiences I’ve ever had. The staff was great and the food was amazing. We did the Wagyu ribeye for two and it was among the best steaks I’ve ever eaten. I couldn’t recommend this place more highly.
The food was fantastic. Environment was good. Waitress was missing half the time. My wife's plates piled up in front of her from the previous 2 courses. I moved my plates to my side of the table which was next to the main isle, and they finally got picked up. A runner brought out desert and sat it on her dirty appetizer plate. We were also not brought clean utensils (spoons) for our deserts but had to use the same dirty ones (forks) from our second course. These are all petty issues in the big world but if I am paying $140.00 for a dinner for two on a special occasion, I expect to be treat like it and not like Waffle House. Don't lose sight folks. There are a lot of places to eat out there. A lot less expensive where I have had better service.
The atmosphere and food is wonderful!! It's a pricey evening out, but you feel like you are in NYC boutique hotel restaurant.
We were treated like royalty! The staff was very attentive to our needs. The atmosphere was amazing. Very charming. The food was phenomenal. It was a wonderful experience and we’ll definitely be back!
Hotel Covington had a pre fixed menu for Valentines Day but ran out of food so I would never recommend it on Valentine’s Day .
My cauliflower soup was lukewarm. Server took my cocktail, without asking when only 2/3 gone. Two steaks were ordered, one rare, one medium, they were switched. When our salads were removed, he asked if we wanted to save our forks. (No, I want a clean one). We normally order three bottles of wine for the four of us, but service was so slow, only ordered two. My mashed potatoes were like a firm hockey puck with little taste. The rest of the food was delicious. Temperature of the room was too cold. Thank you.
Service was excellent for Valentine's Day. Atmosphere was a bit noisy. The drinks were very good, and the appetizer and dessert were excellent. Main course was a bit underwhelming, with a fatty steak, but overall a good evening.
Very pleasant dinner date for Valentine’s Day. Scarlet was amazing! She was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu selection. Her suggestion of the Mure Mure cocktail was spot on! Best cocktail I’ve had so far. The roses on the table and the candle was a romantic touch that was greatly appreciated.
I was so excited for the Valentine’s Day menu. However I stood around for 10 minutes before being greeted (on time for a 4:15 reservation) being served room temperature water when we declined wine (my husband had a liver cancer and a transplant so we do not drink) was an unappealing start. We selected the tempura mushrooms and sweet potato fritters - which tasted like how church smells at during Christmas, burnt and bitter. Our entree arrived 5 minutes after our starter, so we abandoned them.
I chose the ribeye and my husband the salmon, our sides - cold, my steak room temperature, the skin on his salmon not crisp at all. I held onto hope that the dessert would redeem everything else...yet again I was less than impressed, the milk chocolate creme brûlée didn’t have a chocolate flavor at all a the raspberry overwhelmed everything. We are a couple on a very tight budget due to medical debt, who rarely have a babysitter we were full of anticipation with hope for this rare indulgent experience, to be drastically underwhelmed. In addition the space was so cold I had to keep my coat on. We won’t be back and would not recommend this to anyone.
Fun hotel to come eat dinner and enjoy a night out. Chicken and waffles were delicious. Charcuterie board was a little small for $24. Delicious but for the value, expensive. Great service and very attentive
Service was consistently poor.(never refill water or drinks etc).
Had a wonderful brunch. The service and food were excellent. The steak and eggs were exceptional, and the other diner raved about the farmers omelette. Coppin's is a hidden gem and have always had a great experience there.
Service was not great. Waiter really had no idea of wine selections or food. Food was under seasoned and both pork and fish were overcooked. Price point was way too high for quality of the meal we received.
Our server was horrible. We sat and waiting for our server to come greet us for over 20 minutes. We also had to ask if we had a server. He was completely unfriendly and not helpful at all. The food was way overpriced for what we received.
Great as always!
Beautiful space. A bit too quiet for a Thursday night. Loved my burger. Cooked to perfection. Service is good...but server obviously new. Pleasant if not that informative. Nice size pour on the wine.
The food and service were outstanding!
I took my fiancé to dinner for his birthday. I really liked the ambiance in the photos and was told by a few co-workers that the food was great, but the service was poor and slow. I thought we'd give it a try anyways. On the app it asked if there were any events we were celebrating and I put down a birthday. Other than asking if we were celebrating anything when we were seated, they didn't do anything or say anything to my fiancé (which is fine; however, other places always give a complementary dessert or at least say something). The food was very good. But the disappointing thing was the service. The waitresses were not friendly. My fiancé is a big foodie and always enjoying chatting with the waiting staff about their favorite or recommended dishes. Our waitress literally said "not really, just look over the menu, it's all on there" when he asked her. It also took a fortnight to get our food and check. Overall it was a disappointing experience. For the price you will pay, I would think twice about checking it out.
Great service, decent food.
Everyone in our party commented on how salty their dish was. Also for being a boutique property it could use a good cleaning. Barstools were worn, bar has chips out of the top. Service was good though
Thought service was just ok didn’t feel welcomed. Took time to engage us and there were very few people there. Food was good just didn’t feel serviced.
Friendly , efficient staff. Fresh, Tasty flavorful foods comfortable surroundings
The atmosphere was great and the service was wonderful but the food was a little underwhelming- especially for the cost.
Awesome space and great food! Can’t wait to go back.
The ambiance here is unmatched. Had an incredible brunch with a great friend I haven’t seen in years. Plenty of people around but the tables are spaced so perfectly and along the sides so you never feel on display. The menu was small and succinct but plenty of crowd pleasing options. Some brunch classics, some modern creative options. All staff we encountered were very friendly and pleasant and felt genuine. It was our first brunch experience at Coppin’s and we will absolutely be back for many more
Love the food & atmosphere!!! Great spot for drinks & yummy appetizers. Our only disappointment was they were out of appetizers and we’d really looked forward to having them. Fall sangria is 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Very disappointing seems to be on the decline. Steak was served raw, burger was beyond well done (I ordered med rare), cheese plate was very small and sad and over priced. No signature pimento spread. Service was spotty — no check in after food was served so no timely fix to all that was wrong
The food was mediocre and expensive
Great experience. Had a nice brunch.
We like taking out of town visitors to Coppin's and they are always impressed. The menu is full of creative and tasty offerings. From personal experience I highly recommend the brussel sprouts, the pork chop, the striped bass, the burger, the gnocchi with salmon, all of which are excellent.
