Over priced and terrible service....no attention to details....coffee had grounds in it and was cold....eggs werent cooked as ordered. Milk in 8 ounce glass with no refills for kids. Over 125.00 bill for eggs and bacon, a waffle, 2 hamburgers and a salad with water. Sunday from 12 to 2 and they were 6 other people in entire restaurant. Tells you something...place was dead
The appeal of this restaurant is the "farm to table" all local ingredients. Excellent food, mixed drinks were good, beer was well, beer. A bit pricier than I expected, dinner for two (with two mixed drinks and two beers) with tip was roughly $175. We went late (8pm on a Friday). Not crowded, server was very friendly but there were points where the service was a little slow considering how empty it was. Ambiance is nice. Updated and clean. Patio seating looked good (we were inside but bay doors were up to allow for fresh air on a nice evening). Because it's right on the street the only noise issues involved the occasional muscle car enthusiast or motorcyclist who felt compelled to rev the engine as they drove by.
As always never disappointed here. Food and service are always great. Love the atmosphere. We come back often.
Soup was cold, “shareable” sides were small, and delivery of apps/soups/salads was poorly timed. My steak was good, but that was all I got for my money: a piece of cooked meat on a plate - period. Even at McDonald’s you get a pickle with your burger. If I wanted any sides, even a potato, it was extra. Very disappointing.
Great place for brunch. Opens at 9 am which is really nice. Everyone is very friendly. Our eggs Benedict and western omelet came out hot and both were delicious. Definitely will be back.
After several really good meals, this last one was just sort of average. Pork chop was tough, Brussels Sprouts were ok, but the Mac and cheese......yum. Service was good but not great.
Great place - great food.
Most important to me and my doggie friends is the patio that allows dogs and gives them a nice homemade peanut butter treat
For claims of farm to table, local source, and for the prices listed you would expect high quality and flavorful taste. I tasted all the local IPAs on tap and did not find any of them to be very good (there are good Virginia IPAs, but none that they had), the wild mushrooms appetizer seemed rather plain and over sauced (maybe to compensate for lack of flavor in main ingredients), the salmon was just okay (the stuff under it seemed to have some grit in it), and the center point of the chocolate cake was good and moist, but the outer edge was rather dry. I ordered the cake to go and they put it in a big bag but didn’t include a fork. It was not bad food, just not good enough for the price. That is probably why the restaurant was so empty at 7:00.
Came with 5 adults, great breakfast and presentation. The service was spot on
We had a great experience through and through. Our server was fantastic, the food was top notch, and the ambiance was friendly an inviting. We'll definitely return.
The food and the service was great!!
I don’t normally write reviews... but this was a lot of money and quite disappointing — having had a great experience once before. Our food was cold in the middle... the English muffins were soggy as the hollandaise had been left on too long. We had to ask for the popcorn delivered to most tables. The waiter was nice... The whole experience was not good though — and it was a special occasion which made things worse. Spent over $80 for four people for sub-par food — which all sounded delicious. Will not be going back.
Amazing overall experience! Four stars only because the desserts left a little to be desired.
Excellent food. Sides were great. Outdoor seating very pleasant.
Try the lobster wraps, amazing ! Great food and a great place for a celebration.
Sat on balcony. Bartender led our service team. She did a great job! The $1 oyster special did not hurt
My daughter was craving the French toast sticks so we headed over for brunch. The food was very good, we had a variety of breakfast items. The service was very attentive too. We might go back next week for my birthday.
Always great service and great food at Copperwood Tavern! We were able to sit at a table right inside the opened doors, so it was perfect to enjoy the beautiful weather, but not be in the sun. Our waitress was wonderful, the food we ordered was delicious, and we will definitely be back!
Group of four friends for dinner. Everyone had delicious drinks and meal. Service was great! Highly recommend the pork chop. It was AMAZING!
The food was decent, but service was very bad. Our waitress didn’t come by often. When she did stop by, she was rude and didn’t like to answer questions about the menu. She forgot to put in our order for starters, so we waited about 40 mins till she stopped by and mentioned she forgot. Our main meal was different than what the menu stated and what the waitress said. Overall, the experience was not so great. My friends and I will not be returning here.
Service and food was amazing!
Delicious meal and good service!
We had a great time at Copperwood Tavern in Loudoun! We live in Arlington and regularly visit the Shirlington location, so when out of town friends wanted to meet us near Dulles Town Center, I reserved a table at this location. Same great food, amazing whiskey selection, good tap list. Don’t hesitate, you won’t be sorry!
Food was bland and over priced.
I went to this location as I had a great experience at the original location and wanted to give this one a try since it is closer to my home. I made a reservation and was quickly seated then no one attended to us for severaL minutes. There was apparently confusion over who our waiter was to be. Chase, a waiter who was not ours saw us looking around confused and promptly came to help us. He was not our assigned waiter but saved the meal & was wonderful. Management seemed unequipped to deal w the incident. I personally watched Chase escalate the issue to management and no one ever came to talk to us until someone in my party flagged them down. Then one of our four entrees was wrong on a very simple order. Chase again took care of us and got things fixed quickly, gave us a free app and the entree as well- per management. It would have been nice for the manager to again follow up after the multiple mistakes that occurred however she did not. I would understand if the restaurant had been busy, but it did not appear so. This location clearly has some work to do to meet the standards of the original.
Great brunch meal! Love the ricotta blueberry pancakes
Food was great, our waitress Amanda was very friendly and efficient. We will be back!
Great experience but doors were open and there was a pesky fly.
Excellent food but a little pricey would recommend highly!!!
Limited wine list and the two bottles we asked for were both out of stock. Bourbon ordered was also “last of the bottle” and she brought one half empty glass and planned to charge us for it. Food was good but not phenomenal - we had duck and venison. The raw oysters were very good! Not sure I’d go back except maybe for oysters at the bar!
Our third trip to Copperwood and continue to love it, thanks Copperwood!
Wife and I went there for a night out. Great service and food was delicious.
Great table outside. But the food just wasn't up to par. Fish was dry and overcooked. My friend didn't care for her salad. Not worth the price.
On the other hand drinks were good and happy hour oysters were yummy.
Priced like a relatively upscale restaurant, but the ambiance and dress code was not at the same level. And the food itself was very bland. Not worth if even if we weren't paying $30+ per entree.
Outstanding dining experience. We started will twelve chilled oysters which were perfectly fresh and cold. For dinner the rib eye was simply stunning in quality and taste. Paired with shared Brussel sprouts was perfect. Great selection of beers and cocktails to choose from. Desert was an amazing strawberry short cake in a Mason jar. Highly recommend this farm to table restaurant.
It was a bit hard to have a conversation.
Nice place for lunch
