The food was prepared well however it was a Lukewarm/ room temperature when served & the waitress forgot a dish was relatively awkward. Overall decent experience though!
Cool vibey place with great food and drinks. It’s also really big. Lots of seating, indoor, a deck and a rooftop. We’ll absolutely be back!
Nice place with a fun vibe. Food is good, but nothing ground breaking. Nice rooftop bar, great late night snacks, and decent drink list. Really cool industrial themed space.
Very nice place!
The building is just amazing, the food and drinks are very good and the service was great (we asked to go from an outside table to an inside one and we were accommodated instantly and waitress was super nice). Excellent place for group party because they have big tables.
Little downside: music is pretty loud so hard to hear each other when inside. OK though when outside.
Halfway through dinner, music started blasting at full volume and everyone around us became irritated. Two people got their food to go because they couldn't stand the music. We had to plug our ears and couldn't even talk to the waiter when they arrived. I wasn't given a clear explanation as to why the music started playing. The food was also bland and the tacos were way too spicy with no warning at all.
food and service were great. music was a little loud for dinner
The mere fact that they’re going out of business is sad where I got the cheesy bacon tot and it was literally a terrible portion. I could’ve been more satisfied with the bigger portion with a large french fry from McDonald’s
good food, good vibes, good times. The DIY bloody mary bar was my favorite part. Such a great place to go to for a fun delicious brunch.
Great new lunch spot with outdoor patio. Will definitely go there again and try another dish besides the Hong Kong Noodles, which were great!
If your a 20/30 somthing individual looking for a night out, this is probably a decent place to go. If you're a family looking to enjoy a meal out, this is probably not the best place for you.
Made a trip to boston for the weekend, had the pleasure of dining at Coppersmith for drinks and apps early on in the evening. Most phenomenal Chicken Bacon Ranch tacos i have EVER had!!!!!! The truffle tater tots were also spectacular! We were able to sit outside so the louder/crowded feel of inside the restaurant was left behind. 10/10
I would only recommend this place for drinks. Food was worse than average bar food. Waitress was unattentive, only came to us every 45 minutes. We asked for a pitcher of water mid-meal and she did not come back for 35 minutes. Took forever to get the check and order anything else.
The live music was great and drinks were good.
We were there when it opened and it was such a beautiful day, we decided to eat on the patio..the waitress was perfect and our food was tremendous. I’ll go back again for sure..plus they had parking
Food was good, I had the baked mac and cheese with braised short rib and it was delicious. The appetizers we just okay, I tried the tots, chicken wings, fried pickles and the short rib eggrolls. Only the egg rolls matched the main, all other apps were nothing special. Solid place with solid food.
Food was good including both kitchen items and food truck. We got apps and a pizza no main course dishes. Cocktails were also tasty! Service was poor. Wait service was slow, employees chatted over us as they took our plates away and the manager came over to pick up our check but didn't acknowledge a mistake that occured earlier in the meal. Very odd staff behavior, it wasn't very busy.
Really good food! Loved the fried pickles for both taste and portion. Friendly hostess, cool scene. Better prices compared to many places in Boston.
Usually love Coppersmith but unfortunately the food was extremely salty this time! It was also so hot in there that I couldn’t enjoy myself.
Food was pretty good, but so fast it was suspicious. We’re pretty sure it was reheated. Service was awful. Sat ready for the check for about 45 minutes before we could find someone to grab our waitress. Seems like a good drink place but not the best to go have a meal.
Look, the food is really good. But, on Sundays (for some odd reason) they have a limited menu. And, it’s loud... Even on the patio, it was super noisy and you had the live band competing with the music on the speakers.
We sat and the staff never came back to give us our drinks 45 minutes later someone came by asked if we still wanted our drinks. We never ordered food and left. Eaten here many times, this was a terrible experience.
We went for Sunday brunch. Great atmosphere, awesome food. We will be back!
Had a table for 2 and 4 and tried to combine them as we were missing seats. When asked to exchange a bench w another table they happily obliged but the hostess yelled at us and we were left two seats short
Aka the hostess stole our bench
The website needs updating. First, I had tried to make reservations for Monday which on the website indicates the place is open. This is not the case - when I called they told me over the phone that they were closed on Monday. Secondly, when we arrived, the music (and then the band afterwards) were so loud that we couldn’t conduct a conversation at our table. (We were there on Sunday at 7 pm) Third, the website needs to update what food is available when. We were provided with a full menu and then told on certain items were available as it was a limited menu. Again, this is fine, but the website should reflect this as we picked this place based on menu items we were interested were not being served. Finally, they did not check in my reservation. I got an email from opentable saying I missed my reservation- which affects my rating. I was able to correct via email, but they should have checked me in. That being said, the food we had was excellent and its too bad we couldn’t hold a conversation as it was a really neat atmosphere
My friend and I were visiting the city and was at Harpoon earlier that evening, but wanted somethign substantial to eat. This popped up as a gastropub - didn't want anything super fancy, just good "american" food but a little different (since we were on vaca). This showed up in our search and got a reservation for later that evening. We really enjoyed the meal - we shared the brussels, truffle mac and cheese, and the chicken Gumbo. The brussels were HUGE and delish (perfectly crispy with delish sweet and savory ingredients), the truffle mac and cheese was exactly what I was hoping for, but the surprise was the chicken gumbo! It was probably both of our favs! Made with roasted chicken, satisfyingly thick, and well rounded flavors! AMAZING! Good cocktail list as well :)
Our waitress was incredibly rude and acted like we were a huge inconvenience to her. Food was incredibly sub par and insanely overpriced. The amount of restaurants I dislike in Boston I can count on one hand and Coppersmith just made the list. If you’re going to drink, love sports and are looking to party it’s a good vibe but I’m not impressed by the service or food at all.
For some reason I keep coming back to Coppersmith for dinner thinking that it will be a good experience. It never is. It's way too loud to have a conversation, the service isn't great and the food isn't anything special. Come here to watch a game or have a drink on the outdoor patio, but don't waste your time with a reservation.
I turned up for my reservation to find the restaurant closed for a private event. The server claimed that all bookings had been cancelled and everyone warned, but not me. The day before I even confirmed I was coming. Very embarrassing as I had a client with me. Poor.
Great for brunch!!!
Great food. Good service, was a bit too loud for my liking, but I would go back! Food was delicious.
Trendy restaurant with fun drinks and great atmosphere. The food is really meh. It’s average fried bar food trying to be elevated. Stick with drinks.
It's really all about the space, the drinks, and the atmosphere at Coppersmith. The food was bad, but more pub style and quality. Perfect place for a warm Boston night....when they occur.
Food and service was very good. The music was great incredibly load which made across table discussion nearly impossible.
The nachos are incredible
Loud!!! Hard to talk when (really good) music is playing. Fun gathering spot!!
Service was atrocious. Steak was awful. Looks good but it’s not.
The food is always good! Our open table reservation was for 5:00, but did not get sat until 5:30 despite the dining area being almost empty. This is a great place for drinks and food with a young crowd, not the best place on the weekends for young families or groups that want to talk to each other without yelling.... very loud. Despite that, the hosts were very nice and the service was great, very efficient.
Waiters are not with it and food is not good.
Horrific service --
We definitely went on an off hour on an off day but the service we received was HORRIBLE. There was no hostess, the bartender was busy chatting with two friends/customers the entire time. We had to legitimately flag down someone separately for all of the following: water, beverages, ordering food, silverware, extra plates when we told her we were splitting something. I ordered fries and ended up with chips but was too annoyed to bother complaining. We had guac/chips and the guac was AT LEAST a day old, if not two - basically brown. The short rib egg rolls were basically an oil sponge. The burger was fine. Our entrees came out with our main course which was annoying. And the margarita sucked. Would NOT go back.
