Over an hour for lunch wait, with reservation. But great food and vibes
It’s very loud, but really good energy. Drinks were great... winter sangria = 💗. We had the fried pickles and crab Rangoon for apps... decent. Short ribs and steak for entrees... really good overall, but my short ribs were a little overcooked. We will definitely be back.
Food and drink were satisfying. Setting was great
Love the ambiance and feel. Food was delicious from the tots to the main courses and very great sized portions. Service was awful, waiter not friendly at all. Had empty glasses for over 15 mins until I had to wave him down to ask for another and then took another 10 mins to get it. Another worker who was cleaning off tables grabbed my plate without asking if I was done which I wasn’t and clearly wasn’t and advised her I was not done and she glared at me and walked away. Would recommend the food but just be prepared to have terrible service!
One of my favorites in Boston...
Our waitress was awful, she never had time to check in on us or even bring us our bill. There was a very nice, friendly woman who ended up doing most of the work but I believe was just helping out (at first just bring water, but also checked on us several times, brought us to go containers, the bill etc). I was very unhappy to leave our actual waitress a tip and felt it should go completely to the other person. Regarding the food, I was very disappointed the chicken and waffles was switched to chicken drumsticks. I definitely would not have ordered this if I knew it was not boneless chicken. The atmosphere was fun and lovely.
We had a blast at Coppersmith. Our server Sasha, was wonderful - would come back just to see her! Great brunch and atmosphere.
This was a great place to bring all your friends or bring a fun date! I loved the live music and great food for a serious value. I enjoyed the cocktail menu, beer list and service! Highly recommend this place as one of the most fun places in Boston for anyone!
Great place to eat and spend time with friends. Second time at the venue and I’d go back many times.
We arrived at 5:30 on a Friday with three teenagers and luggage from the train. At that time restaurant had mainly 30 somethings at the bar. Lots of space in dining area. Very cool, well designed spot. Margaritas were tasty and potent. Dinner was super fast and very very good. Pulled pork sandwich was delish but leave off the jalapeños unless you love spicy. Asian glazed short ribs were outta site. Solid Cesar salad. Tamika was a great and attentive server. Highly recommend.
The location is weird and in the middle of industrial area so we Ubered to the Element hotel nearby.
Service was very very slow. We waited over 10 minutes to be greeted by our server and were greeted after tables that were seated after us.
The short rib mac n cheese was one of the best things I’ve had in a long time!!
Overall I really like Coppersmith—it's a unique space and has a good vibe—but my recent brunch there with friends wasn't the best experience. Actually, it was just barely adequate. Our appetizer arrived after we got our entrées—despite reminding the waitstaff 3 times that we ordered an appetizer. My friend ordered one of the specials, but the plate was missing ingredients that were told to us by the waitperson. She brought us the ingredients in a side dish. When asked if it was supposed to be part of the original dish, she said it was but didn't know why it didn't have all the ingredients. She didn't offer anything to make good for the mistakes.
The place is very loud—big cavernous space, which echos. The sound system there makes it louder—making it difficult to have conversations without yelling or asking someone to repeat themselves. I'm good with the echo, but the sound system was overbearing. To make matters worse, the speaker near us was burnt out (probably for being too loud for so long); the bass sound was muffled/staticky. I let the host know, and she said she'd tend to it.
Like I said, I mostly enjoy this place. But it needs to improve its service and reduce the music volume (and fix the speakers), in order for me to give it 5 stars.
Good quality food served in cool industrial loft atmosphere. The service is impeccable and very friendly. Unfortunately we couldn’t drink. Chicken tenders were good, so was the salad. Unfortunately, selection is fairly limited. The good news for vegetarians: there are some tasty options (or so I was told).
Fantastic spot to go, very versatile menu with lots of options in a great environment. There really isn't any place around quite like Coppersmith. It's hidden and discrete, while having a comfortable establishment from the inside where people are very friendly. Very open and spacious which is a rarity in a place like Boston especially in the Southie/Seaport area. Highly recommend this place, they'll have my business for years to come!
We really enjoyed our food and the drinks but our waiter was the worst waiter I've ever had in my life. She forgot one person's dish and two people's drinks, only checked on us one time in 2 hours, and was distracted because her sister was visiting her that day at the bar. We were originally planning to stay at Coppersmith all day to watch the Patriots game but the service was so bad we went to another bar instead.
Although we made a reservation, we waited over a half hour to be seated. Otherwise enjoyed our meal, no complaints.
This restaurant was fantastic! From the spicy margaritas to the short rib, it was absolutely delicious. The short rib was super tender and very tasty. It is a loud restaurant, but we went during peak hours (Friday night at 8:00). Although it was seemed really loud at first, we did get used to it and it wasn't a problem.
Loud. Food and service were excellent!
So loud you couldn’t hear the person next to you. Food was average. Sangria was good.
Food was good, but they unfortunately had ran out of everything that was actually our first choice because they had just hosted a big crowd for the Patriots game. So my one advice to the restaurant would be, account for the increased consumption of certain favorite items during games, so that the people who arrive for a 7pm dinner, are not basically out of everything.
Went with a group with a gilt city voucher. We got the tots and the apple cider donuts. Some of the donuts were undercooked (still tasted fine, we could just pull raw dough from the inside), and the cider shooter was confusing since it's kind of an appetizer made to share. The tots were good, and the bloody mary bar was cool. One person ordered tea and wasn't asked what kind he wanted. He had to flag the waitress down to specify breakfast or earl gray. The chicken and waffles were bland and drenched in fake maple syrup, which was a bummer for the two of us who ordered it. We couldn't understand why they'd make strawberry butter for the dish, but then ruin it with maple-flavored corn syrup. The breakfast sandwich, turkey BLT and burger all looked good.
Food and drinks were great!
An impressive array of tasty cocktails and beer. Good service. Bar snacks (nachos, tots with queso) are delicious but the entrees, including the steak frites and chicken, we had were like bad wedding food — bland and dull. I could not recommend coming to Coppersmith for dinner.
Food was great but the service was horrible. We had a 12:45 reservation and checked in at 12:40. They told us it would be a few minutes and we ended up waiting 35 minutes. Meanwhile, they seated three parties who had 1:00 reservations immediately. The host was moving so slowly and would just ignore people when they tried to ask him a question or check in.
Food was great- however they were out of half the things we tried to order. We couldn’t get the appetizer we wanted and the first three drinks we tried to order they were also out of. We also asked if it would be possible to split our bill before we ordered- our waitress said yes, but then she didn’t do it at the end. When we asked for her to still split it, it wasn’t done correctly. I know this can be a pain, but this is why we asked at the beginning before we ordered.
Loud, many items unavailable but it was a Sunday night.
Wait staff was abysmal.
Our service was awful. The waitress did not seem fully together and forgot our orders. She only checked in once or twice and our second round of drinks took 20 minutes to get to us.
We really enjoyed our visit to Coppersmiths. It has a fun & funky vibe and there's a food truck inside the building! They have bar seating and outdoor seating in addition to the restaurant. The Bloody Mary bar is great! The menu is a little limited but the options are unique and everything was served hot and delicious!. We would definitely go back again!
Amazing service! Food was ok.
Hosts were friendly and the ambience is great. We ordered the fried shrimp with fried rice (it was just white rice with corn and peas in it, not very interesting or even fried), the fried pickles which were tasty, and the fish tacos from the small plate menu. The tacos were soggy and I couldn't eat them without a fork and knife, and the fish and filling were super bland. Our server was nice but disappeared and eventually we had to ask someone to find them to bring our bill.
Great food , cool location & energy - would go back in a heartbeat.
Fun place. Enjoyed my meal and the atmosphere. Only one complaint: incredibly noisy!
It was smaller than I imagined from the pictures online but it was a fun atmosphere. It was very warm inside while we were eating. It was a nice place to get together, the music was very loud even though it was a Sunday at dinner time. The rooftop bar was my favorite. They forgot we were up there but they saw us and turned the lights on. It was nice, and I would probably go back.
It just, O.K!
Food here is pretty consistently mediocre (been here at least 5-6 times) and the service isn't much better for dining. Sitting at the bar is a little better but there is nowhere in the warehouse to get away from the volume of the reverberating chatter off the industrial stylings. It's loud even when it isn't full.
Really poor service on the rooftop bar. The bartender was extremely rude even though she wasn’t busy. Had to wait ten minutes for the hostess to come back to the station to seat us. Waiter was also very short with us and put in minimal effort. We did have a great experience with one bartender in the inside bar after dinner who was very nice and friendly! Overall, food was decent and the space was very cool, but service was horrible.
Great to have Coppersmith in the neighborhood. Nice space for indoor or outdoor dining.
Great brunch selection.
