Our waitress was superb! She went out of her way to make sure our needs were meet!
My chicken sandwich was raw. The menu indicates it’s sous vide, a method of cooking I’m very familiar with, so I understand that the texture and color of sous vide chicken can look a little “different”. However, typically you’d sear the breast after removing it from the water bath (the menu also indicated that this is how it was to be presented). This was definitely not done, and the meat was NOT cooked through, it was a completely different color and texture on the inside (pink and raw). The sandwich was even cut in half, so the kitchen and the server should have easily seen how terribly undercooked it was. I can’t believe they let it leave the kitchen.
Despite a barely cooked entree, it still took over an hour to get our food. Our server didn’t come back to check on us after delivering our food for almost 15 minutes, so I couldn’t even request another sandwich as most of our party was nearly finished with their meals. The server did take the sandwich off the bill, however, NO apology was offered an no manager stopped by to check on things either. We never received drink refills either, despite being there for over an hour and a half. Will definitely not return.
The service team showed great detail to all the things that mattered most. Amazing food with the best steaks in the state.
A wonderful, friendly experience with my family. My 83 year old father was with me and the staff went above and beyond to make sure he was happy and comfortable. Very happy we tried this place the food was phenomenal. Thank you!
A Saturday night 7 pm .
Ordered food. Out of Prime Rib and out of baked potatoes.
Shrimp cocktail terrible.
KC Strip steak cut thin and not very good.
Rolls were cheap version of bread.
For a high end restaurant, prices high, atmosphere was like being in a sports bar.
Go somewhere else .
Save your money. Such a shame because it’s a nice restaurant but the food is mediocre at best and the service is horrible. There are MUCH better restaurants in the same area that are worth the trip. Skip this place.
Nice place. Food was good. They didn't tell me about the apple cinnamon butter to put on the roll, which was kind of disgusting. They quickly fixed that by supplying normal butter. Service was a little slow for the amount of people eating at the same time as me. Portion sizes are small for the price, but flavor is good. Our four (4) entree's (one main, one side and dinner salad) and non-alcoholic drinks averaged $30 per person.
It was overall a great experience, my server was wonderful. Best steaks We’ve ever had, the dry age is amazing! Food came out fast even though it was fairly busy. They have good drinks as well. Definitely will be back soon!
During our visit restaurant was understaffed. Took 45 minutes before we were offered bread or took our order. Was looking forward to the prime rib, but was very disappointing.
Although the dinner started off promising, my dry aged ribeye was not prepared properly. When I sent it back, it took nearly 25 minutes and they delivered an entirely new steak. When it arrived, it was the toughest piece of meat I have ever been served. I could barely eat it but it wasn't worth sending back again. The rest of our dinner was just ok, though the service was good and the drinks were good. I'd go back, but I wouldn't order anything other than sandwiches or burgers here.
My server Rube was wonderful and corrected issues with my order. Unfortunately, the sliced steak on the salad was not to the quality I would expect from a steakhouse. She replaced it with shrimp which was delicious. Perhaps an off night?
Great time here the other night! Delicious food and drink. Thanks for the ribeye!
Bartenders very backed up. Took extra time to get drinks
Good service. Overall the food was good. We were disappointed that we weren't offered bread that we saw being offered to other tables.
Terrible terrible experience. Took us an hour and a half to get our food and was over cooked. We’re told they were out of salad while people around us received theirs. Honestly one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had. And I absolutely hate saying that.
I eat at this restaurant every time I go through Kearney. The food and service are awesome.
Food here is always excellent. Great service! Unfortunately they just re-opened after flooding and we got behind a party of 25 so it was slow in getting food out but the food is delicious! Service was great and they were quite apologetic.
Good servers, extremely slow paced even when not busy. I expected awesome steaks for the price didn't even hit 1/2 way. Decent place
We ordered our steaks medium to medium rare with them having warm pink Centers. Unfortunately, the steaks were over cooked which made them tough. Also, by the time our food was served it was luke warm. To be competitive, the restaurant needs to improve in those areas.
For the cost I had higher expectations both for the quality of food and the restaurant layout/interior. Food was good, just not worth the upscale price. Had much better at similar priced steakhouses in other cities. Would recommend either a drop in price by 25-50% or a jump in food quality.
Had a great time celebrating my wife's 40th birthday. The service was great as was the food. Highly recommended.
Good food; appetizers of oysters, salad, steak, cream cheese dessert, and cab sav. Seevice was good too, but rushed us at the end. Still, a very nice experience overall. I recommend...
Very overpriced for the amount of food!! I could have stayed home & have a better steak off of the grill!!
Mother's Day with my wife and family. The service was outstanding. Drink orders were taken within 2 minutes of being seated. We ordered our meal and within a few minutes had our salads. We always had what we needed, when we wanted. The main reason for going to the Coppermill is the food. It is the best within 100 miles of Kearney. The steaks are very good and one of my favorites is the beef stroganoff.
Great steak and really good services. Would recommend to anyone
Traveling home and this restaurant was next to the hotel after a late arrival from the road. It appeared to be a fairly new building, but still needed some tweaking for improving the ambiance. When your paying big everything should be the best it can be. Zach was very helpful with the menu and serving our table. Kept water glasses full, made sure we were happy with all. The steak was great, the chicken cordon blue would not be ordered again, even though Zach said it was one of his favorites. We don’t usually get spendy with on the road meals, but if we lived close by would definitely try Coppermill again.
Pork chop very dry, I love pork chops, this was not good
Prime rib had a nice flavor, but not rare enough
My steak was perfectly cooked as requested, my guest's steak was underdone which was disappointing from a place that calls itself a "Steakhouse" - other than that the experience was satisfying.
Great food! Staff was excellent!! Highly recommended!!
Good solid food at reasonable prices for the quality. Staff was great, looked after our every whim. We were just passing thru Kearney and the place was recommended by our hotel staff. We'll be back.
Love this place and will go back. Upscale and pricey, but worth it for that occasion special dinner.
We are from out of town and found ourselves unexpectedly in Kearney tonight. The food at Coppermill Steakhouse was excellent and the service even better. Nicole was awesome!
We went for my wife’s birthday. The service was fantastic and the apple crisp was excellent. The menu is innovative but expensive. My wife had the Basil Pesto, it needed more favor and I had the Prime Rib, which was ok but if you call yourself a steakhouse, should have been better. The brussel sprouts were great. Next time I’d order two servings of brussel sprouts and skip the steak.
I took my wife for New Years Eve and the experience was outstanding. Service was fast and friendly, food was very good. I had the Ribeye and golden mashed potatoes and my wife had the scallops. Nicest place to eat in Kearney, NE.
Food is top notch. Steaks are excellent and love the brussel sprout side dish.
Passing through from Wisconsin to Colorado. Second time we are here. Great place. Just wish resturants would say “no hats” along with the standard “no shirts, no shoes, no service”
Will stop again! Make a reservation and you get extra special treatment
Zach was a great server. I will definitely be back!!
Best steak I’ve had in a long time. My steak was perfectly cooked. The shrimp was great and the truffle mashed potatoes were excellent!
We were really excited about this restaurant the minute we arrived. The ambiance, decor and space are impressive. The menu has a great selection and the wine list is impressive. Unfortunately, both of our meals were underwhelming, particularly considering the price. Crab legs were clearly frozen - making it nearly impossible to obtain the meat to eat. The prime sirloin was extremely tough and chewy. I ordered the dry aged steak. The flavor was great - but the cut off meat was 50% inedible. For a $50 steak - I don't know that I would have served that piece to a customer. Plus, for $50, I wouldn't have added an upcharge for a ceasar salad. While our server was extremely polite, she really struggled with timeliness of service and multi-tasking. We had large gaps in time, including over 15 minutes before we ordered. In addition, we shouldn't have to ask for refills, but she didn't notice our empty glasses. Overall, this place has a few things to do to continue to charge these prices in order to be successful.
We had a reservation and Coppermill was maybe at 20-25% capacity when we arrived. They seated every table next to each other. The music was too loud to have a normal conversation. With the loud music and sitting beside everyone else in the restaurant (not the bar side) we could hear everyone's conversations and had to nearly yell to hear each other. I would recommend seating parties away from each other esp when it is available to do such and turn the music down.
