My burger was good as was my wife’s ravioli. That said, it’s a hotel restaurant short on staff.
We had a good booth. Drinks were pricey and food was slow and ok. Service was very nice but not around much….
The food & ambience was nice. Fairly priced & a wonderful staff.
We are a pretty easy going crew who enjoys a good meal and cocktails. I would like to start off by saying that our server Brooke was wonderful. Brooke was very attentive and personable. We ordered burgers, bison meatloaf, and salmon. As foodies, we don’t have any reservations about paying for quality food. We were very disappointed in our meals. Everything lacked spices and the meals were very bland. I really hate to leave a negative review, we aren’t those people, but this was very disappointing experience.
Spinach Dip and Pretzels are outstanding.
Was there for my wife’s birthday. Reservations were for 8:30 as soon as we sat down they told us the kitchen was closing and we had to order immediately. Overall was rushed and just not special like we hoped. Order her a birthday desert and they served it as if nothing special was happening. Poor service overall. They were cleaning while we finished eating. The main courses were good though.
Copper had amazing potential from the moment we walked in. Loved the fireplace with seating area in the lobby. The ambience was awesome. Loved the background music and decor. We had an awesome server who made sure to keep our drinks filled and checked on us regularly. The menu was enticing and plenty to choose from. Unfortunately, our food was sub-par. We ordered blackened salmon which was served over-cooked, edges burnt, very dry. Served with carrots and Brussel sprouts which would have been a perfect choice except they were cold. We also ordered the sliders off the appetizers and two out of 3 were also cold. Ordered the fried Brussel sprouts to go with the sliders, also off the appetizers, which looked awesome but were also cold. To Copper’s credit, we did not make a complaint or I am sure they would have made us fresh meals. It was NY Day and we had a 5:30 reservation and they were not busy. We will probably visit again and give it another chance and hopefully the kitchen can get the food temps figured out. It has awesome potential.
Great food, great evening n New Year’s Eve w family!
Lost our food order after 2 hour wait due to staffing shortage. and had to box up food to go as only way back to mountain was our 9:30 shuttle. They offered to comp some drinks but felt like they should have comped the food that we had to box up. Shrimp and grits were too salty and pasta wasn’t tasty.
Bad experience and manager should have stepped up. Our waiter was good considering he was waiting on the entire restaurant. Read your other reviews. We should have before we made reservation and went to trouble of leaving the mountain.
Went for boyfriends birthday; seated in a quieter more private section which was nice. Offered free dessert to celebrate :)
Restaurant was not very busy but we waited 45 minutes for our appetizers and another 30 minutes after that for our food. Food came out cold and mediocre at best. Super disappointing
strange place mtb of seats in back behind bar
Waited almost 2 hours for our food. Worst customer experience we've ever had...
The service was horrible. We had a family of 5 that took over 2.5 hrs to get served and out of there. It took them 30 minutes to get drinks from the bar alone. We finally asked that our food come out as it was ready and not wait to bring it all out at once. Our service was a female and she was not good. We asked that if our appetizer was going to come out at the same time our food was we didn’t want to order it. We were not the only ones that had a 2.5 hour horrible experience. A family of 7 with a baby was behind us and they acknowledged that they felt sorry for us as they had just gone through the bad service and long wait with the same server. The server blamed the long wait on being short staffed but we were here back in February and had good service at the bar. Shameful service and won’t be retuning. Food wasn’t very good except for the steaks my sons had.
We had a terrible experience unfortunately. We waited over an hour for our food & when it arrived it was not good. The service was poor and everyone working there seemed to be fighting with each other. We would have left but we had 3 hungry kids with us.
Good food, friendly service. Dining room was dark and not cozy.
The food was good but the dining experience was disappointing. The bartenders seem to do double duty as servers too. That means they take your order and someone brings you the food. That is all the service there was. While the food was good, the price for this dinner was expensive and did not match the lack of service. It might as well be counter service…..place your order and put a number on your table. We were celebrating a birthday and it was a disappointing experience. We would not choose to dine there again.
Great bar and food is exceptional. From vegetarian to meat. Social distanced tables and the atmosphere is awesome. Friendly staff and great cocktail and beer choices.
The gentleman server was a true hospitality pro!
Excellent! The manager went out if his way to check in multiple times, even had the chef make special dietary exceptions.
Enjoyed the entire dining experience. Food was delicious and ambience perfect.
Outstanding food and service!
Disappointed that items on the website menu couldn’t be ordered. We were told they were only available during happy hour. Our reservation was 15 minutes later on a Sunday. We had 2 kids chicken strip meals. Both came with an undercooked piece of chicken.
good food and drinks. staffing needs to be improved, nobody wants to work
Food was limited! Steaks cooked well done! Tough and rubbery! Drinks were good… food was poor!
Disappointing dinner at Copper. Like lots of places around Big Sky, Copper is short staffed. Our waiter was also the bartender, so his attention was divided. Copper advertises itself as a whiskey bar, but didn’t even have a whiskey list.
Menu is reduced, so three of us had the Steak Frites. The steak was not hot enough when served to even melt the butter on top.
Server could not have cared less about his job. Very little knowledge of the menu. He kept coughing into his hand and proceeded to make our drinks.
The place was beautiful and should have been packed but was virtually empty. Exactly 4 entree items. We paid for our drinks and left to find another restaurant.
The food here just isn’t very good, plus the menu is much too limited right now. The only steak they had was a tenderloin (sauce was not good and it was raw), and the hangar steak (sauce was weak). They need to hire a chef with more saucier skill. On a good note, the smoked wings were amazing as always!
Food was good but i was disappointed with the menu. Only our apps and four entrees to choose from.
This restaurant has a very limited menu currently.
The menu was extremely limited. The menu we saw when we booked our reservation was much more extensive. Service was lacking. Food mediocre. I feel like it was due to COVID and staffing shortage
What a great find! Great food, great service+AWESOME bourbon collection!
Truly appreciated by our Redneck Rivera crew!
We've eaten there several times. It's been fine. This time the bourbon maple chicken was not on the menu. The whiskey flights were gone. It supposed to ba whiskey bar. My steak frites the steak was cooked un evenly. I ask for medium rare. It was more rare than medium rare. It was kind of disappointing.
Food was wildly mediocre. I got the chopped salad and the main ingredient was the ranch dressing. The burgers came with way too much mustard already on them. The fries were cold. It took forever to get our cocktails. We were still in and out in less than an hour despite the fact we were hoping for a nice night out and longer dining experience. Overall not great.
The restaurant has a cool vibe, but the steak frites couldn’t feed a toddler. A single bite costs around 10 dollars, so take advantage of every one. As a 180lb man, I’d recommend ordering at least 3 steaks to fill you up. However, if you’re wanting to eat something other than red meat, you have a whopping one option. I’ve seen lemonade stands with more choices.
Food was mediocre servings small for the price. Two dishes really poor, one so bad was sent back. Dessert served at the edge of the table had to grab it so it wouldn’t fall. Overall disappointing and many other superior options in Big Sky.
Menu had a choice of 4 entrees. This place won’t survive like it is.
Was a bit disappointing. Limited menu, long wait, small
Portions for price. They were extremely accommodating and we loved our waitress. Just not the same copper we remember. Seemed very affected by COVID and had not recovered.
Overpriced, not ver
It was a very sparse menu. The steak filet was flavorless. No mashed or baked potatoes as I had ordered so they brought French fries out with my filet. The appetizer truffle fries were tasty. The wings were ok. Afterward I was wishing I had spent my $150 on the street vendors outside. The cost/value to the quality were just not there.
