Copper Rock Steakhouse - South Bend
Everything was perfect, great service and food. Having been to the Copper Rock in New Buffalo, this was better. Mainly because it has the full menu every night. We have been to New Buffalo on show nights and they have a very limited menu. Having been to high tier restaurants thoughout the world seeing a trimmed down menu is not the norm and a poor choice.
outstanding service and great food. Above and beyond service that doesn't happen many places. The food was yummy with big servings. Will definitely go back!
As is always the case with the Copper Rock, regardless of location, the environment, meal and service were all outstanding. We highly recommend the restaurant whenever asked, and will continue to visit with regularity.
excellent service, food was average but the bread and spreads were unique and tasty
Had a great time and looking forward to more. Service was excellent and our waitress was great!
Excellent food. Far surpassed what I thought a steakhouse in a casino would be like.
Great food and service
The food at Copper Rock does not warrant such a high price. I'm not saying my meal was bad, it was fine, but for $75 a person it should be better than fine. I would very easily recommend William B's or Ruth's Chris as much better nearby options for a steak.
for the price I paid for my steak, I thought it would been a little tastier, warmer, andmore tender. for having a "chef" on hand, I found he meal lacking in professionalism. our waitress was graciios and informing, but again iwas left waiting for a few extras that never showedup. overall I would not recommend it to anyone I liked, it was a fact finding mission for us and it is what it is.
I would recommend . However I would let them know that service takes a long time. It took over 3 hours to complete our meal. Had there not been an awesome piano player that night I would have complained. I even tried to order things and was told it was better to wait. This is not the first time we have had this happen. I believe that more servers are needed or better training. I should not have to wait for over 2 hours for my main meal to come out and should not have to wait 20 to 30 for a drink. The food and drinks were excellent as always. This does make me think twice about coming for a sit down dinner again. Might just stick with the bar service.
Great service and staff, plus the delicious food the visit was great.
Our meal was very good except for the brussel sprouts. I feel the salmon portion could have been a little larger. The 10 ounce filet was perfect and the Lobster mashed potatoes were perfect. The salmon tasted very well. The brussel sprouts were not roasted enough and they tasted underdone. When roasting I recommend getting some black on the outer leaves to get the caramelization. Other than that the meal was great.
The meal was outstanding! The filet was tender and cooked exactly like I ordered it. You could cut the steak with a fork. The lobster was very good, firm. The salmon was very good too. As far as ambiance, it was pretty crowded and there were tables of four on both sides of us. The one table was very loud. Very nice restaurant!
We had a wonderful experience and have already recommended Copper Rock to our family and friends!
Food was wonderful. Service was great. Specials menu was perfect.
Food was fantastic!
Located at a Four Winds Casino South Bend In.
From the appetizers to Desserts the Food and service were outstanding. One of the top restaurants in the area. Great wine selections and fabulous Deserts
Piano Bar with an excellent singer. 2/15/2019
Far better experience at the South Bend Copper Rock compared to the New Buffalo restaurant. Same menu, great food, better ambiance and FAR better service!!
I know it was a busy time. Our steak was cold and not hot, but we enjoyed our time together.
I know it was Valentines Day but we were there for over 3 hours. Waited over 2.5 hours for our meal and when food came it was cold. Drinks were slow. Waited almost 20 minutes for server to pay bill. The next day they charged our friend an additional $105. For the price of our bill this was a bad experience and will not be going back for a while.
The food was delicious particularly the steak.
A great place for a special Valentines Day dinner. First time there and we were very impressed. Would go there again.
Reservation system on line was fast and simple. Service was great and food was excellent.
Service was very slow even though the restaurant was not busy when we got there. Out waitress was nice but disappeared for long periods of time.
Our service was amazing; she did an excellent job. I loved the wine. The atmosphere is nice. Did not like the smell of smoke from the casino/ it wasn’t over powering just not great. The dinner salads were subpar especially for this kind of restaurant. The dinners (NY Strio and Crab Stuffed Shrimp) were just ok, nothing special especially at this price level. Desserts were very nice. Overall it’s a nice place but there are better choices in this price range - LaSalle Grill, Cafe Navarre, and Ruth’s Chris to name a few in our area.
THANK YOU COPPER ROCK STEAK HOUSE at FOUR WINDS CASINO FOR A FABULOUS ANNIVERSARY CELEBRATION. WE LOOK FORWARD TO OUR NEXT VISIT!
The meal was great. The meal starts with an incredible bread basket. Then we had nice salads, followed by perfectly cooked steaks. We brought dessert home we were too full to have it there.
Food was very good. Service was great. We will go again. I recommend the prime rib. Make a reservation to make sure you get a table. We enjoyed the different breads and spreds served before the main course.
Excellent food. Waitress was outstanding. Would return
Pasta was dry and undercooked- colossal shrimp the same. Everything else was wonderful including our server.
The wife and I took our Daughter and Son-in-law out for her birthday. The food and service were both great. It was our first time there, but sure it will not be our last.
Food was good not great. Service was excellent! Nice to have in South Bend!
Overall very good
My wife had the bone in rib eye and I has the stuffed lobster - both were excellent. We had tried Copper Rock when they first opened and it was a bit disappointing but this time the food was great. Our waitress did not know the menu very well and service was just ok - water glasses not filled when needed. Overall we were very happy.
Birthday, way to loud ordered the 55 dry aged ribeye steak their specialty ordered med rare came out rare and not aged at all. Guess the chef and server didn’t realize south bend has people that can tell the difference. Service was awful ran out of drinks besides water twice not going back taking the 35 min drive and go to the copper rock in new buffalo or go to Michigan city to Willy b’s. Willy b’a is half the cost and has better service and non of the pretension
Absolutely excellent dinner and service. Highly recommend.
wait staff was terrific. very knowledgeable and friendly/fun. food was very good.
It was nice to go to an "upscale steakhouse" without dressing up, I shouldn't have to dress up to impress others simply because I want good food. The service was acceptable but nothing worth bragging about. The adult beverages were delicious, although in all honesty, overpriced. The wasabi that accompanied the seared ahi tuna was crumbly and stale and the tuna itself was bland. We ordered a "side" of truffle fries as an appetizer but weren't able to eat more than a few each because the fries were grease-soaked and soggy. The brussel sprouts were soaked in a vinegary concoction that we couldn't tolerate the smell of, let alone the taste. The Copper Rock mashed potatoes were good, not great. The only redeeming quality of the entire meal was the $75 per 5oz wagyu steaks,.
This was our 4th visit to Copper Rock, however, this was our worst experience. our guests meal was excellent. My steak and my husbands steak were overdone and our twice stuffed bake potato was burnt. We did send that back but we ate the steak.
3 for 3 on 5 Star experiences. If I could give 10 stars to our waitress I would.
