This is a fantastic place to enjoy Indian cuisine with friends and/or family. The food is consistently good and they are very service oriented, helpful, and friendly. I have celiac disease and have never had one problem after dining there. The only thing that drives me crazy is that year after year they have that front patio dining area that is completely un-level. And not just a little. Please alter the awful slant in the floor or at least buy tables that can be significantly adjusted to that one is not dining at a complete and total angle. My guest to my right said she felt she and her food were sliding down to me during the meal. If you can't make the right fix come up with a reasonable solution.
Excellent service, wonderful food. We went recently for our anniversary and had a wonderful time. We will be back again, you can bet on it.
A little pricey but the food and service was awesome.
We love this place and keep coming back. My husband is from Birmingham, England and is picky when it comes to his Indian food. He approves of this place 110% and we make it a monthly date night because of that!!! The tikka Masala is amazing, perfectly made!
From the moment we walked in the door, the wait staff was friendly and accommodating. Our waitress (Shivani - hopefully not misspelled, just going from memory) was fantastic and friendly. Our appetizer of of Masala-Chili Cauliflower Florets was amazing and left us wishing we had a table full of it. The entrees were fantastic, we had the Crab Kundun Quorma and the Goan Prawn Curry. The prawns were perfectly spicy - too many Indian restaurants I've been to are afraid to use full flavors, but these were perfect, and actually had the nice spicy bite that we wanted. The Crab was fantastic, sweet lump crab with a very savory sauce, was fantastic with the rice and the Garlic Naan that we ordered. To top it off, we had Gajrela-Rabdi. This was one of the best desserts I have ever had. We were aptly warned that it might take 10-15 minutes to make, and it was accurate because they are made fresh, but I promise you it was well worth the wait. Maybe put in the order before you finish your entree if you are in a hurry. We weren't and were so glad we waited. Every dish we had was full of fantastic flavor and prepared to exacting measure. We will be back, and wish we lived closer to frequent more often. Thank you Copper for a great Mother's day/Anniversary meal!
Our waiter was amazing! I have to eat gluten free and he helped me navigate the menu. The food was so good!
The food at Copper is super delicious! As soon as your walk in your are greeted by a friendly staff. I have been here more than once and love the ambiance and overall feel of the restaurant.
This is one of our favorite restaurants in Charlotte!
The food is great! You have to try the Tikka Masala and garlic naan!
Copper didn’t disappoint! Delicious food. Cauliflower appetizer, three different curry dishes were all delicious. My favorite was the Prawns in curry. And don’t skip the garlic nan!
My son chose this restaurant for his birthday lunch. The staff was attentive and the food was amazing both in presentation and quality. We look forward to dining there again very soon.
Copper remains Charlotte’s best Indian restaurant.
Truly THE BEST Indian food I’ve ever had! I have yet to eat something I didn’t like there. The service is impeccable, always on top of it, and friendly. I always enjoy eating here.
Great Indian restaurant. Had the samosas ,garlic naan, chiicken Tika masala. Food & Service were spectacular!!!
Food was terrific and the service was excellent! Great cocktails!
Excellent traditional and modern Indian cuisine in a very classy setting.
Wasn’t asked on the spice level and it was way too spicy, I was disappointed. I don’t think I will be returning unfortunately.
The waitstaff know the menu and wine list and I have always been pleased with their recommendations! Everything was delicious.
Copper is a great choice if you are interested in authentic Indian cuisine. The servers are very knowledgeable about all of the dishes. The only thing some may consider a drawback is that they don't give a rating for level of spiciness; you have to know to ask before ordering. Also they charge for yogurt if you need to tone down the spice of your dish.
Pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of food served. Excellent dinner.
The room was dark with very low lighting, glad we sat by a window. Food was ok, too expensive for the taste. Food was average and small portions. Best thing in the meal was the rim coating on the glass for the margarita.
Every food we tasted was great!! We were there on a business lunch AND celebrating a co-worker's birthday. They gave us a frozen mango treat and a warm chocolate dessert and they were AMAZING!!! Everyone at our table was most happy and satisfied with their meal. I am looking forward to returning.
The food was delicious but service was a bit on the slow side. We were having a leisurely girls' night so it didn't matter as much but it was noticeable.
Great find in South End. Loved the quality of the Indian food. We’ll be back!
I think ambience was wonderful. The food was good. The lamb taste more like beef than lamb.
Also it seemed like we were being rushed at 5:30 pm on a Saturday. Other than that I would go again . The food was well seasoned.
Great food and unusual dishes
Definitely be back !
Good food! Great service! Celebrated my husband’s birthday. I put that information in the reservation and they provided us with a free desert at the end of our meal. Will definitely be returning!
A contemporary name like Cooper can’t hide the facade of this “Indian” restaurant. The food was presented in unappealing large bowls where all of the Curry’s were varying shades of red. Highly disappointed with the food palette and presentation. Everything tasted like it was made from Trader Joe’s curry jars. The service was maybe the only saving point but that was also just average. I’m sorry for guests coming in thinking this is real Indian food. Save your money!
This is absolutely the best restaurant in Charlotte. The food never disappoints and the people working at Copper are wonderful.
This is the best Indian restaurant I have eaten in the Charlotte. The service was top of the line and the service was terrific. The menu was very creative and we will definitely go back to Copper.
Food is always spot on. The standard Indian fare is great. The fusion is bold
Amazing restaurant! Amazing waiter! The food was sublime; a modern twist on Indian cuisine. I started with naan and from the moment the first piece touched my mouth I knew this would be the beginning of a beautiful relationship.
Jimmy, Omesh and Perry provide the best service, recommendations and smiles in town. It’s the finest Indian food experience in Charlotte.
We love Copper and it continues to be a place we return as a couple and with our entire family. Our appetizers arrived cold and when we brought it up, the manager made it complimentary, and we asked them to make sure that the rest of the meal came piping hot vs. cooked and waiting for a server to pick up and bring to our table - this was likely what happened.
We wished the servings would be made more substantial in quantity, meaning that there are more chicken (how much more can a few more cubes of chicken breast vs. the (6) you get in the bowl?)in the Chicken Tikka Marsala than the gravy/sauce; Punjab Lamb, etc. If that was the case it would be a definite 5 stars. Thank you.
Was our first time there and we loved it. We were helped out to make the right food choices! Would definitely go back!
Copper never disappoints. Try the Modern Indian items for a fine dining experience in a comfortable and relaxed atmosphere. And, of course, don't skip their fantastic cocktails.
Best Indian food in town! Love the Naan bread and their sauces.
I think that this restaurant is OK. There are not that many Indian places in the area unless you drive out to Pineville Ballantine area so choices are limited. Nothing really wrong here except maybe one of the servers was a little less than helpful especially given they are doing a ski fine dining style. Extensive wine list. Food is good but not exceptional. Good choice for Indian in the central Charlotte area although a little expensive.
Have been to Coppet a few times before and have loved the food and the ambiance. Even though we made a reservation we were seated in a back room past the bathrooms that did not feel as realized as the rest of the restaurant. I was bummed that the people we brought to Copper did not have a first experience like we did. The food was terrific.
