Copper has become our favorite restaurant in Charlotte. The food is always fresh & flavorful, and the assortment is varied & consistently interesting. There are the traditional items that you'd expect, plus several that are more contemporary variations. Vegetarian dishes are a strong suit, but there is something for everyone. Service is prompt & unassuming. Situated in a period Dilworth house on East Boulevard, the setting is perfect: straightforward & comfortable. It's about the food & the company you're sharing it with, not the scene. We find ourselves choosing Copper long after we've tired of newer places with more extravagant dining rooms. Give it a try.
Reserved Table was ready for our arrival. Waitstaff was attentive but not intrusive. Food (we stayed with Traditional) was well presented, tasty, and served promptly. We enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and conversation for two hours.
Another delicious dining experience at Copper! We'll be back!
Outstanding food, consistently one of my favorite restaurants in Charlotte. Service courteous, but was rather slow this time.
The food was absolutely delicious. The focus was on flavor, not spiciness. One suggestion would be to ask the guests what spiciness level they may want (though the menu does say that they are happy to accommodate customizable requests). We have a mango allergy and they were superb in knowing their menu and helping us avoid any mango-containing foods (including serving us a different chutney with our appetizer). There not many upscale Indian restaurants (most tend to be family-style), but we enjoyed the ambience, service, and the food! We had the goat-cheese kofta and vegetable kesari). The sauces were creamy and delicious! The garlic naan was freshly made and completed the dish! We would definitely come back!
I loved everything about this place. The location is adorable and trendy, and the inside doesn't disappoint. The courses were appropriately spaced apart, so we had time to relax and talk, but not so far apart we were wondering where our food was. It is more expensive but so worth it. The food was amazing and has something for everything, whether you like spicy or not. The assistant manager and the manager came to check on our table multiple times because they knew we were new to Indian food. I would recommend this to anyone looking for either traditional or fusion Indian food.
Valentines Day- slow service. We normally love this place but it took 75 min to get Naan!
This is our fourth Valentine's Day in a row going to Copper, and unfortunately our first down experience. We sat for an hour after getting our appetizers, and finally had to demand some Naan just to tide us over until the main course finally came out. The food was, as always, excellent, so we're going to chalk this one up to an off night for the server (or an off server), but it was not the romantic night that we were hoping for and frankly had come to expect.
Spent my Valentine's here and my wife and I LOVED it! Amazing service, tasty food, and save room for the Indian ice cream for dessert!! Highly recommend the cauliflower florets for appetizer!
As usual, the food, service and ambience were very good. We enjoyed creative cocktails and delicious Indian food with a modern twist. Our favorite Indian food restaurant in Charlotte.
Had reservations but still had to wait 15-20 minutes. Food was excellent and made up for the wait. Service was OK, it took a while to order drinks and appetizers.
We had a wonderful dinner at Copper. We have been here in the past but wanted to do an early Valentines dinner here. Loved the food and we had a great experience
Copper has a great atmosphere and the food has always been excellent. The lamb in particular is exceptional.
Great food and atmosphere
Really good. Great Indian food. No complaints.
Absolutely outstanding! From the Hazy Mumbai cocktail the fabulous lunch entree’s, to the friendly exceptional staff, Copper was the best Indian cuisine experience! Five stars without a doubt!
Food was terrific! Service was over the top and the restaurant was packed. The servers worked as a team - very attentive but not hovering. The restaurant itself is in a historic house and the bar area is lovely and inviting. Definitely give it a try even if you’re not sure about Indian cuisine- my husband is not a huge fan of Indian spices but said the food was terrific......
Went for dinner on a Saturday night. Ordered two of their specialty cocktails and samosas to start. Had the chicken tikka and modern lamb dish for entrees (plus naan). Everything was EXCELLENT and the service was fast.
Excellent meal as is usual from the team at Copper! Neil was great, very engaging!!!
Incredible food that was perfectly prepared. Served by a knowledgeable waitstaff. A great evening.
The food, service, ambience, all a+. Never had a bad experience! Great place to introduce diners to Indian cuisine. Always a solid bet for out-of-town guests. Highly recommend.
This is the second time we've dined at Copper. The food is outstanding, very fresh and flavorful. The work that goes into the dishes is apparent.
Wonderful! As usual! We will return again soon. Best authentic Indian food in Charlotte!
We usually go for dinner and the restaurant is always busy and noisy, but this time we went for lunch on Saturday. It was great. Pace was quieter and slower. Food and service was excellent so no difference but just more relaxing.
My spouse goes for their traditional Indian menu, but I like their "modern menu choices too... I have never had better lamb chops.
The food is amazing. This is definitely one of the top restaurants overall in Charlotte and the best Indian restaurant by a mile. I love it!
Shared the tikka masala and saag paneer with a Pakistani friend. Both were well-executed and authentic. Copper is in a craftsman-style house and has a great, casual elegance to it. Even with a Taj Mahal beer, the bill was less than $50-an excellent fine dining value.
Once again another great lunch at Copper. Staff were attentive and superb!
I always enjoy the food, the ambience and the excellent but unobtrusive service
Very accommodating staff. Food was good and the vibe was really nice, other than the extremely loud man at the next table - LOL! My first experience at Copper. I'll be back!
