Family in town. I’ve never had a bad meal except for tonight. What a let down! $50 a person and food was very poor. Service even worse if that were possible....
The ale steak is delicious! It was seasoned and cooked perfectly. Best steak I’ve had in a while.
Great food, awesome atmosphere, great price for the quality of food that is received. Great selection of wine and bourbon as well.
While the service was fantastic and they did a lot of wonderful personal touches to make us feel welcome, the food was not up to the price and expectations. One of our meals was almost inedible (They were out of the prime rib and ordered the scallop scampi, which truly was awful). The stake ordered was fine, but not exceptional for a restaurant that is known for stake. Have to say the overall, we were very disappointed.
Valentine’s Day at the copper cellar is beyond everywhere else.
We got engaged at the Cellar 41 years ago as college students and it was such a joy to be able to celebrate this Valentine's Day there. The personal touch and ambiance was awesome; the staff was very attentive and the service was great. The food was perfect. The greeting card and the personalized menu was very impressive. We traveled in from Atlanta and it was well worth it.
We had a great time at Copper cellar. Our server was a little new to the job it appeared, and will do great with some more experience. All of our food was really good I had a New York strip and she had the scallop scampi. Surprisingly well we both had the spinach Maria one was not very good and the other was delicious.
This was our first trip here and everything was better than we even expected. The staff was great and the food was excellent
We had a wonderful time at this location for Valentine's Day. Our waitress was fantastic and the food was awesome.
Moved from Naples FL where restaurants are wonderful. However, this is one of my most favorite restaurants in Knoxville my new home and it is exquisite
Best Pittsburgh Rare NY Strip! Always perfect. Jess is the best bartender in Knoxville bar none!
Great steak. I think Copper Cellar May be overlooked as a steak destination. Very tasty and prepared as I like.
Service was disappointing on my recent visit. Large groups seem to throw the staff into a tizzy.
The food was outstanding the service was meh. We had to go to the bar for a drink refill and found our server, who we had been looking for, showing the bartender pictures on her phone.
Very good food and great service. This is my review
We had a reservation for 5:30, but with Garth Brooks concert it was packed. They said the wait would be additional 30 mins, but they were able to get me and my wife seated within 10 mins of our reservation time. Our waiter was great and the food is delicious and very good size portions!
It was our first visit to Knoxville. We wanted a nice dinner for my wife’s birthday while in town. A friend suggested Copper Cellar, specifically the lounge in the lower level. It was perfect!!! The service was great, the atmosphere was great, and the food was beyond great! I told my wife later in the weekend that I just found my favorite steak joint in the country. We WILL be back. (We’re from Columbus, OH)
Tough steak. Badly, badly in need of an update. Nothing classic about the decor.
Wish they wouldn’t have changed their menu. Great service.
Heavy, somewhat greasy food, good service, interesting cocktails, limited wine list
We were celebrating one of our best friends retirement and going to a play afterwards. Out service was outstanding as was our food. The experience at Copper Cellar actually added much to our celebration! We can't wait to go again!!!
Just adequate. Not awful, not good. Not exactly clean.
Place could stand some freshening up, that could be accomplished without diminishing the nostalgia value. Bartender was in over her head. Table service was a little inattentive at the end of our meal. Final bill overcharged the classic martini relative to the menu price by $1. Server seemed befuddled and said words to the effect that, that's what comes up when she "pushes the button." I deducted the dollar from the tip. Maybe she can plead to management to tighten things up. Definitely past it's glory days.
Not a crowded evening (Sat. 6:30 to 8:00PM) Music up way too loud for the relatively sparse number of diners. BTW, I think the time of the sizzle platter for steak houses came and went in the 70's
04-27-2019 was National Prime Rib Day! The original Cellar was the place in Knoxville to get the very best Prime Rib!
Great food and drink in a classic steak house atmosphere. The prime rib, wedge salad and baked potato was excellent. The strawberry shortcake was huge, definitely enough to share, and delicious.
We had a marvelous time! The food was tremendous, as was the service, and we enjoyed the suggested bottle of wine.
We were hoping for fine dining and this was not that. The music was the wrong vibe, restaurant empty, and the $30 steak came out on a skillet still cooking. The rating on open table was very misleading.
We had a great dinner!!!!
My son-in-law suggested this place while in Knoxville so we got reservations for an early dinner before a show and was not disappointed at all!
We ordered steaks and salads and was very pleased so if you get a chance to go please make time to eat here!
Excellent prime rib sandwich cooked to order. If you want VERY pink, order medium rare. This is a real steak house.
Great atmosphere, steaks and service!! Nice, affordable wine selection!
Probably the best dining experience that I’ve ever had in Knoxville!
Good food. Kate was a great server!
Very quiet and good ambience, made us feel like we were having dinner in an upscale wine cellar. Food and service was terrific!
Great environment downstairs, has an old school steakhouse vibe. Food was cooked perfectly and service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Prime rib night and the food was excellent.
My family and I decided to eat here because we had an event to attend at the Bijou. I made reservations the night before with Open Table and we were seated immediately downstairs In the Cellar which I recommend. It was much quieter, thankfully, because 2 of the 4 of us had headaches. Our server was excellent , the sweet tea was some of the best my husband and I had ever tasted. I really enjoyed the Caesar salad, and our steaks were perfectly done. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful meal & wonderful service.
Awesome service from Jessica!
Sports bar atmosphere, at least upstairs. Service was excellent and food was solid. Known for steaks and these did not disappoint. Certainly “upscale” for a “sports bar” environment.
I love Copper Cellar, but I only made this reservation to be sat down in the Cellar. They did not sit me down there, and messed up my reservation. Great food, but this really bothered me.
