Copper Cellar - Down in the Cellar
Wish they wouldn’t have changed their menu. Great service.
Heavy, somewhat greasy food, good service, interesting cocktails, limited wine list
We were celebrating one of our best friends retirement and going to a play afterwards. Out service was outstanding as was our food. The experience at Copper Cellar actually added much to our celebration! We can't wait to go again!!!
Just adequate. Not awful, not good. Not exactly clean.
Place could stand some freshening up, that could be accomplished without diminishing the nostalgia value. Bartender was in over her head. Table service was a little inattentive at the end of our meal. Final bill overcharged the classic martini relative to the menu price by $1. Server seemed befuddled and said words to the effect that, that's what comes up when she "pushes the button." I deducted the dollar from the tip. Maybe she can plead to management to tighten things up. Definitely past it's glory days.
Not a crowded evening (Sat. 6:30 to 8:00PM) Music up way too loud for the relatively sparse number of diners. BTW, I think the time of the sizzle platter for steak houses came and went in the 70's
04-27-2019 was National Prime Rib Day! The original Cellar was the place in Knoxville to get the very best Prime Rib!
Great food and drink in a classic steak house atmosphere. The prime rib, wedge salad and baked potato was excellent. The strawberry shortcake was huge, definitely enough to share, and delicious.
We had a marvelous time! The food was tremendous, as was the service, and we enjoyed the suggested bottle of wine.
We were hoping for fine dining and this was not that. The music was the wrong vibe, restaurant empty, and the $30 steak came out on a skillet still cooking. The rating on open table was very misleading.
We had a great dinner!!!!
My son-in-law suggested this place while in Knoxville so we got reservations for an early dinner before a show and was not disappointed at all!
We ordered steaks and salads and was very pleased so if you get a chance to go please make time to eat here!
Excellent prime rib sandwich cooked to order. If you want VERY pink, order medium rare. This is a real steak house.
Great atmosphere, steaks and service!! Nice, affordable wine selection!
Probably the best dining experience that I’ve ever had in Knoxville!
Good food. Kate was a great server!
Very quiet and good ambience, made us feel like we were having dinner in an upscale wine cellar. Food and service was terrific!
Great environment downstairs, has an old school steakhouse vibe. Food was cooked perfectly and service was excellent. Will definitely be back.
Prime rib night and the food was excellent.
My family and I decided to eat here because we had an event to attend at the Bijou. I made reservations the night before with Open Table and we were seated immediately downstairs In the Cellar which I recommend. It was much quieter, thankfully, because 2 of the 4 of us had headaches. Our server was excellent , the sweet tea was some of the best my husband and I had ever tasted. I really enjoyed the Caesar salad, and our steaks were perfectly done. We will definitely be back. Thank you for a wonderful meal & wonderful service.
Awesome service from Jessica!
Sports bar atmosphere, at least upstairs. Service was excellent and food was solid. Known for steaks and these did not disappoint. Certainly “upscale” for a “sports bar” environment.
I love Copper Cellar, but I only made this reservation to be sat down in the Cellar. They did not sit me down there, and messed up my reservation. Great food, but this really bothered me.
