Great restaurant with awesome service
The staff did not wear face masks at a time when COVID is still prominent, especially with the Omicron strain. Importantly, the service at the front door, presumed that we could not enter the premises, because they presumed we were "skipping" the line, when in reality, we had a table outside and needed to use the restroom inside.
Server, Rebecca was amazing!
Only complaint I have is I made a reservation for a table, confirmed the day before, and upon arriving was told a table was not available. A bit of an inconvenience for a patron who has a cast and was forced to be standing around. If you’re going to accept reservations for tables, you should ensure that people get them. Otherwise, a blast like always. :)
Had an amazing night.
Really good ambiance and the service was great
I’d been wanting to try Copper29 for a while. Our friends were visiting from out of town and wanted Sunday brunch so I thought this might be a nice spot in the Gables to try out.
Reservation was easy to make and the hostess even texted the day before to confirm date, time, and party size which was great.
My friends arrived 10 minutes ahead of the reservation time and were told that the restaurant could only accommodate our party of 5 at one cocktail table which made dining there difficult due to extremely limited table space. Hostess was advised we’d be eating brunch, not just drinking, but still, the 5 of us had to squeeze around the one cocktail table.
Plates and silverware were removed completely from our table shortly after we sat so when the Mac and cheese came out, we only had one fork and could not share the appetizer. When we asked for and were given 2 more plates and silverware sets, we were admonished for how limited our table space had become when main dishes came out.
The food quality was overall good except for a snafu with a burnt pancake which, thankfully, the dish was removed entirely from our bill. This was much appreciated. However, the numerous limitations on the “brunch” food and drink menu made it a more unpleasant experience than it needed to be. Every time we asked for the rest of our dishes we’d ordered, we were told about yet another menu limitation. E.g. my friend ordered the Eggs Benedict and was only served the Benedict and house salad. When she followed up on the potatoes which the brunch menu clearly states “topped with a hollandaise sauce AND oven roasted potatoes AND a house salad,” she was told it was EITHER potatoes OR salad.
Copper29 was a hit and a miss for us. Our experience could’ve easily been a great one, making us want to visit again for brunch in the future, had it not been for the unbearably loud music (we get it, it’s a bar in Miami), the inconsistent food quality, and the inflexibility of some staff members.
Went to Copper29 for my birthday and it was excellent! Our server was attentive and kept the drinks flowing! The music, atmosphere, and people who were there were so much. My friends and I truly had a fantastic time!
Great time and will return
Cool spot with a great Friday evening vibe. Sat outside and was able to have a few drinks and people watch.
Small trendy bar for millennials. The menu is surprisingly varied for what is largely a bar with tables. Service was attentive and prompt with drinks and food. The loud music was great for dancing but there’s no room for that. Conversation was out of the question unless one is a lip reader.
Usually go for happy hour, first time I go for brunch, they have a pre-fixed brunch only menu on Sunday, and food was subpar… Definitely wouldn’t return for brunch.
Music blaring. Drinks subpar. Will not return
Good ambiance. I enjoyed the music. Service was ok. I think my table was overcharged or it was pricey. We paid $126 for unlimited mimosas and three meals. I probably won’t be back. If anyone wants to go for the experience, I suggest you check your bill thoroughly.
We were asked to leave our table and close our tab all while still having drinks to finish bc the next reservation was there?! The host brought the people to our table to sit them while we were still sitting there!!!!!! Absolutely ridiculous!!!
No one wears a mask. Waitress admitted she was not vaccinated and was not wearing a mask I asked her to for our table and she did. Server wore a mask. Otherwise not one employee inside or out wore a mask
Wait staff was lovely. Quesadilla was delicious.
Horrible service when you make the reservation they don’t tell you that is only for 2 hours and then they came to the table to tell us we had to go or we can buy two bottles to stay the place is not even worth it!!! Will never go again.
Everything was great except for the bathroom service. The gentleman guarding the bathrooms was very nice but did not allow the person in the bathroom for more than what felt like 30 seconds. As a girl, on their menstruation, I take a couple seconds longer than the usual bathroom user to take care of myself. I felt rushed and uncomfortable not being able to take care of my business. Otherwise, the DJ was amazing and our waitress was very attentive, would definitely come back.
Very happening. Good music and vibe. Food was good as well. Also accomodating staff but service was slow.
Went here for an after work happy hour and this is now our go to place. It’s the perfect vibe for the happy hour setting or a fun night out when you don’t want to go to a club or boring bar.
The happy hour prices are great, just wish the hours for happy hour lasted a little longer.
The music is fun! The service amazing, I’ve always been back a couple times after this and each time has been great.
When we first arrived expecting to sit at a table, we were a little confused when they sat us in a couch with a couple of side chairs and a small coffee table. We were a party of (10), and this scenario was not at all what we imagined. How are we supposed to have a sit down brunch (all 10 of us) on this small coffee table. Fortunately we spoke with the manager, whom was completely accommodating. He arranged for our entire party to be moved to high top tables, where we could sit comfortably and enjoy our Mother's Day Brunch. The service was great. Our waiters Sherhan and Alina did a fine job in taking our orders and bringing us our brunch. The presentation of our plates was impressive, and of course the food was really tasty. The live DJ was playing some really good music that created a very energetic atmosphere. We will definitely be back to Copper 29!
The service was horrible we waited 2 hours for our food and when it came out it was cold eggs. Ask the waiter for salt and extra things never bought it to the table!
Place has an amazing atmosphere! The food took about 40 minutes to get to our table but it was a Friday night so it’s understandable. The drinks were good, the food delicious, service was top notch. Will definitely be back!
Waited an over an hour for our food to come. Then only one of our entrees came out and it was room temperature, the next meal came out 30 minutes later and I had already finished my plate. Had to wait at least 20 minutes for anyone to even come up and ask if we needed anything, so overall the experience was disappointing. The price we paid was not worth it considering it took so long for anything to be served AND when it was served, it was not fresh. Sad because the ambiance is cute but the service and food was not worth it.
Tables for party size greater than 3 is not available. Tables are child sized.
Beautiful staff and outstanding service
great food. Waitress knew menu options and had great suggestions
Food was ok and there was only option for mimosa which wasn't great.
Unfortunately we were late for our reservation so the entire time our dinner felt very rushed by the staff. Food was very cold and undercooked. Like they needed the table for a higher paying customer. Cocktails were very good though but you could only order well drinks during their busy time. Wish I was able to enjoy it more!
It was a cool club type place I was expecting more like a bar but the music was SO loud it was like being in a dance club it was still a neat place. My only real complaint was the staff weren’t wearing masks.
Great experience I will definitely be going back again
Food was really good, ambience was great, music was great. Our waitress was really nice! Only thing I have to say is that there were some employees like the guy who was serving us water and the bus boy were not wearing masks when visiting our table throughout the night. But everything else was great. Definetly recommend
This was a horrible experience. Upon arrival, I had to wait 20 minutes while the host ignored me literally in front of me.. she finally helped me after I went and found the door person to ask for help. After she checked me in she just said hold on then proceeded to help other people that walked in without reservations to seat them. After I asked someone else again if they could help she finally sat me in an abrupt manner. Sitting there for about 10 minutes some person came over and started moving my table over away from me while sitting at it with my items on it without even speaking to me. After that, I just told the waiter that I was leaving. This was probably the worst service and disorganized place I have ever been to and they were definitely breaking some covid restrictions.
Had fun for my last night in Miami but definitely would’ve loved to go a little earlier than our plan. The lines were long but changed fast. Loved the music! Had a good time overall.
good food, good drinks, great vibe!!!
The decor, location and ambiance were great. However, the food is nothing that you can’t make at home. I recommend having drinks and enjoying the vibe and grabbing a bite somewhere else.
Love Copper 29, but at the end of our night our waiter asked why no tip. Maybe because it’s already included and the bar forced us to meet a minimum of $500 despite us being 2 people short? You’re already getting 18%. Love this bar but I’ve never seen a waiter behave that way.
Super horrible experience from beginning to end. We got there the host had an attitude, when we were finally going to get seated they expected 6 people to fit in a coffee table, when we explained we wanted something more comfortable (because how can 6 people eat on a coffee table) they stated the whole place was booked and with the high tops they’d lose money if they put 6 people in two high tops.
Once we finally got accommodated with the exception of us having to be done by 9 before the next reservation came in. Turns out half of the menu isn’t available to order. At this point we just got up and left.
It was my boyfriends birthday and we were willing to have a good time and spend a pretty penny but with that lack of attention we went elsewhere.
Went there with my girlfriend and let them know I had reservations... they just told me to sit anywhere I’d like. We kept it light with just drinks and appetizers. A good time, but I’ll definitely go earlier next time so it’s not as loud and crowded
