Mother’s Day-we made a reset for brunch only to arrive and find out after sitting at our table for 10 minutes that it was buffet only.
We debated about staying for a bit then decided to check it out. The food was terrible! Unlike the normal brunch offering at Copious. We asked to speak with a manager and waited about 20 mins or so. In the mean time found out that the buffet was $26 for a sub par meal on a special occasion day. As we waited we overheard other people complaining as well and some walked out after not being informed that it was a buffet.
The manager finally came by and was very nice and apologetic. Unfortunately we had to find someplace else to go later in the day since everyone was booked at this point
We were sat early, but even though a number of servers and other employees passes our table, no one offered to take order, get us drinks, or even acknowledge us. We left after 15 minutes.
I made a reservation here for Mother’s day brunch because the menu looked amazing. When we showed up expecting to order from the regular menu we were informed that they were only offering a brunch buffet. No where on the website did it say anything about a buffet. The buffet could have been good but they were out of several dishes including eggs and biscuits... how do you run out of these items at a brunch buffet???? We had to ask 3 times for the biscuits to be replenished which took 40 min. When we finally did get biscuits they raw in the middle. The service was terrible. Since it was a buffet the servers didn’t have to do much but we had to flag our sever down for every single drink. They were also letting some vender walk around and heckle people into buying crap no one wanted. Overall I felt terrible that I took my mom here as a part of her Mother’s day gift
It was Mother's Day and they were not prepared! No instructions to their customers. I had to ask for water and coffee, but was told I had to get my own coffee because everything was buffet style. They were still setting up tables and the buffet area while people were arriving. We were told food would be ready at 10am after arriving at 9:50am, BUT they were still setting up at 10:30. Not a great Mother's Day dining experience. Bacon was NOT cooked. There were actually many raw bacon pieces. No regular menu. Buffet only although that was never explained. We were in line asking for spoons and tong because they were not available. So much confusion.
The food, aside from being heavily peppered, was bland and over-cooked. The environment lacked coziness, and the noise level was comparable to a cafeteria. We will not be returning.
This What’s our waitresses first big party (6 people?). She also was taking care of the jazz music people in the basement. I noticed that she would disappear for several minutes while we were eating if we needed something she was not to be found. Later I noticed her getting on the elevator and going downstairs with food to deliver to another table. I think this might of been too much for a new waitress. It certainly did not enhance our dining experience.
My wife and I's fav place for breakfast. Very affordable and a great atmosphere
We've been to Copious twice and it has yet to disappoint. Everything is always delicious and fresh. Love the service, location, and the food!
Strange vibe, mostly empty at 7 pm Friday night. All staff looked disheveled and in need of a shower. Nice but not overly competent. Food was meh in both presentation and taste. Would not recommend or return. Not terrible but not remarkable.
We had a reservation for 5pm and when we got to the restaurant no one was there and the doors were locked. We triple checked that it was supposed to be open at that time and it was, we were very disappointed.
Went on a Sunday evening. Service was great and the food was fantastic. Looking forward to going back.
Typically we would rate Copious at 4 or above, but this Easter evening the food was a 3 at best, possibly due the end of a holiday weekend. As regular customers, we expect it to be better when we return.
Upon arriving we went to the front desk and the young lady told us that we did not have a reservation. I had called for 3 days trying to get in touch with someone; however, no one answered the phone. After getting seated, we did not realize that because it was Easter that it was a buffet, if we knew this before hand, we would not have stayed. There were children grabbing food from the table with their hands, people walking around eating from their plate as they served themselves food (like they were at home), it was a bit unsanitary. To make matters worse, my son got sick when he got home, we do not know if it was the prime rib or what because it was extremely bloody. We do not know if we will be coming back. It was a very disappointing experience.
Your manager went above and beyond to make sure my mother and I had a wonderful Easter. We were planning on ordering from the regular menu, but the entire staff treated us with the utmost in service. Of course, the food on your buffet was wonderful and did offer something for all.
Hard to judge the restaurant. Friendly staff, menu look good and space is nice but we were there for Easter and it was a buffet.
I will say we won’t do Easter there again. Buffet food was ok - nothing special.
Very limited options
Pleasantly surprised!!! I had the Southern fried chicken- very tasty! Great portion size! Beautiful layout, ambiance! Would highly recommend dinner before a show at Notes!!! Wonderful evening!!!
Loved the food, service, and atmosphere! Food taste awesome and the flavors explode in your mouth. Loved the atmosphere and artwork!
Date Quiet night. A good eveving. Not great. The food was fine. Nothing special
The food was fantastic but our service took away from our overall experience. When we arrived we were informed that they had several walk-ins and our reserved table was given away even though we were 5 mins early. They had us sit at the bar for 15 mins with two other couples that they did this to. When we asked for a dessert menu, our server presented us with our check instead.
Our first time at Copious was a pleasure, due largely in part to the great service we received from our server, Charles. The food was very good. The only negative was that, even w/ a reservation we had to wait a while and the restaurant wasn't even close to being full.
Great food and awesome music
Food was really good, and server was great - professional and polite. Nice setting. However, the seating downstairs at the music venue was uncomfortable.
We had been to Copious a few weeks ago and found it very inviting. We encountered Charles as our server and also met Chef Brian Wilson. What a magnificent experience!
We found out they have live music on the weekends for Brunch. We attended yesterday and we were not disappointed. Service was superb and the food was absolutely great. Chicken and Waffles as well as the Shrimp and Grits ( quite possibly some of the best i have EVER had. ).
Would not hesitate going back and would highly recommend. Once again, Charles was over the top with his service.
Nice job Copious!!!!
I always ask for a margarita on the rocks no salt. It came with salt, so my drink tasted like Gatorade. Yes, I should have sent it back but I did not want to risk having the drink I was served poured in to another glass and mixing the salt up more. The service was slow. We waited 19 minutes to have our drink order taken at 6:06 pm on a Saturday night. The food was good but the mac and cheese was bland. Maybe the salt from my margarita could have been put in the mac and cheese. I would definitely go back because the issues were server specific.
Not the best experience. Ordered the chips and artichoke dip and was served the bottom of the bag of crumbs. A handful of patrons were there. They had the time to offer better quality of food.
We got our check and went elsewhere for dinner.
Burger was good. Drinks just ok. Kind of pricey for what you get.
Our table was ready, and the waiter was excellent. We had eight people in our party, and they all were happy with food they ordered. I have eaten there before and am always very satisfied.

Awesome experience!!! Jazz was great too. I recommend it to all.
FirstTimer, Thanks so much for the great review and we are so happy you had a great time here! We hope to see you back soon!
First time brunch at Copious. The brunch was both tasty and reasonably priced. There was a keyboard player providing great background music and song and the wait staff was both attentive and pleasant. I encourage folks to give them a try.

We celebrated my wife Kathy’s birthday at Copious and had a wonderful experience. Service was top shelf and the atmosphere was very nice. After dinner we went to hear Maria Jacobs and the wonderful evening continued. We will come back and also recommend Copious to family and friends. Thank you!!
Frankle, We are so happy you had a great experience for your wife's birthday! We appreciate your business, review, and feedback! We hope to see you back soon!
Food was hit or miss - our appetizer and side were delicious but the entree fell short. The sever was inattentive and when we tried to explain the issue with our entree he must not have been listening because he told the chef the opposite of our problem. They took $2 off our $100+ bill, didn’t even offer properly cooked food.
Food was good but pretty standard. Wait staff was a little slow but a new waiter was being trained and everyone was very nice.
EmilyT, Thanks for your feedback and review. We appreciate your business and hope to see you back soon!
We came for brunch - first time. Wasn’t crowded at all. There was elegant jazz Trio planning in the corner. Food was great! Nicely prepared with pressed coffee on the side.
CinK, Thanks so much for your great review! We are happy you had such a great experience and we look forward to you joining us again soon!
Went for Granddaughters birthday. Food was great!!! Server was fantastic!!!
YvonneE, Thanks so much for the great feedback and review! We appreciate your business and are happy you had such a great time with us! We hope to see you back soon!
The live music was outstanding. Service was a little slow considering how empty the restaurant was for a Sunday brunch, but our server was new (we think). We're going back in a couple days to try dinner :D
KerriF, Thanks so much for your feedback! We appreciate your business and will do our best to make sure your dinner experience is better!
Apparently understaffed that day. They lost track of my reservation check in then service was extremely slow.
First time to Copious and was very impressed. The food was very good and our waiter, Charles, was fantastic. We went Saturday evening and it was very busy. The hostesses and some of the staff seemed a bit overwhelmed with the chaotic atmosphere of a busy Saturday night and events both upstairs and downstairs. This would not prevent me from coming again or recommending it to anyone.
SAM614, Thanks so much for the awesome feedback and review! Charles is very good at what he does and we are happy he made your experience here great! We appreciate your business and hope to see you back soon!
I had the pleasure of attending Copious Saturday Brunch with live music.
I was undecided on what to order & our server a handsome man of color played a game with me of rock/paper/siccors 🙂
Chicken & Waffle was an excellent choice.
Our server was very attentive & took great care of us. I look forward to trying the shrimp & grits during my next visit.
BrendaT, Thanks so much for your feedback and we are happy you had such a great experience! We hope to see you back soon!
Great food and service especially on a Sunday night before the theater. One of the few restaurants in Columbus that you can have a conversation without shouting during dinner. Love the jazz background music and the art.
JamesO, Thanks for your business and your feedback! We appreciate your business and hope to see you back soon!
