Diverse menu; very good food. Ambiance is lovely; warm lighting and heavy crushed velvet curtains make the large dining room cozy. Service attentive and efficient.
Well, the place looks pretty good (primarily, as regards the ambience). I hosted a business luncheon there last Friday (for 7 persons in total). The service was a way too slow. As to food, I found it fairly decent but no more than that (btw, we chose a prix fixe lunch menu for 42 USD). In overall, I wouldn't recommend the restaurant for luncheon.
Great service and food was great!
A gracious hostess seated us and a waiter was most attentive throughout the evening. The food was excellent and we had a most enjoyable dinner chatting. We were never hurried, which is a necessity for me. All in all, we had a great evening.
I had lunch the other day:
Ambience: It was not very busy at the time we were there. This made for a comfortable noise level.
Seating: We were seated by the side door (not the main entry door). Whenever a staff member went outside and back inside that door, the winter chill took us a few minutes to recover. You might consider another egress for the staff. I'm sure it would be appreciated.
Food: Good. Fresh.
Service: Professional. Accommodating.
The food was cooked well very well. I had the Lamb & my wife had the Salmon.
Copinette is a great neighborhood spot for casual American-ish fare. The pleasant atmosphere, friendly and attentive service and good food are welcome additions to the Sutton Place area. Copinette serves Continental food with a modern, French flair in cool surroundings.
The Caesar salad and shrimp cocktail were good appetizers. (In the past I have had the bacon wrapped shrimp appetizer which was absolutely delicious and the house burger which was perfectly juicy and full of flavor. ) The branzino entree was very flavorful with good vegetable accompaniments. The pumpkin ravioli was so tasty too. The wine list is good and well priced. (The hand crafted cocktails are inventive, beautifully served, with fruit or edible flowers, and are excellent.)
The warm service, which is very accommodating, adds to the experience. The prices are refreshingly more reasonable than one would expect considering the ambiance, neighborhood and culinary preparations. We are fans of this neighborhood gem. Copinette, we can’t wait to return.
First time in, even though it is in our neighborhood. Very nice, food was fine, very reasonable prices, and my wife just loved the dessert. Only negative comment was that the waitress took our drink order and our dinner order at the same time, but the salad showed up before the drinks. We mentioned it to her and to the manager, and both recognized the error and apologized.
Great service, friendly atmosphere, good food and a very good value. Staff is very attentive and accommodating.
Excellent food, but quite disappointing service. It was Halloween night, celebrating my wife’s birthday.
Waitress was very much into her own costume and spent more time taking pictures outside of the restaurant than taking care of guests. She mixed up the appetizer order, so two of us had to wait for the correct soup while I finished my appetizer, so it is not getting cold. Never seen her after that. Busboys delivered our food.
We had to get our checked coats ourselves leaving the restaurant, while personnel was watching us.
Very disappointing. I guess I would recommend the restaurant, if you like good food and really do not need any service with it.
Food was ok, not great. There was a nice amount of room between tables, but the noise level was very high.
We were very impressed with the food, menu and service. This is a very lovely place to dine.
Normal relaxed place for a Sunday brunch. Food was acceptable, but service was very slow...understaffed!
Small portions, good foo
Really nice setting. Great service. Food was subpar. Chicken cordon bleu was dry and vegetables were very salty.
Highly recommend the halibut and Branzino but the steak frite is top rated too. While the menu appears limited it actually covers a breadth of choices, a great early evening price fixe , quiet conversation with spread out tables or a bar scene. Lunches are great too. A neighborhood gem but also worth making a trip across town for dinner.
great restaurant Wasn't to crowded the night I was there the roasted chicken was delicious
Cant' wait to go back
Went there for dinner with colleagues to discuss an upcoming conference. The drinks, food and service were impeccable! Noise level was low and there was plenty of room for you to move around. Many NYC restaurants have their tables close together that you feel that others are almost sitting on top of you. This restaurant gave you space that you could have a private conversation. Love that!
Great brunch, food was delicious, service attentive and cool atmosphere
Very disappointing. The food here was way below expectations, and the service was slow despite the restaurant being mostly empty.
A real find for continental food, attentive service and really delicious food for all occasions—can be festive or every day. Lunch menu sandwiches, salads or entrees. Dinner fish, steak or a burger beautifully presented.
We had a very nice lunch at Copinette. The food was very good. Service was fine, but the menu suggested additional sides (home fries) that were not included when the meal arrived. That seemed strange to all of us. Aside from that, no complaints. Nice atmosphere overall.
Service was great, food delicious but it took a long time for the food to arrive even though it was not that busy. Overall we love coming here despite the wait.
Outstanding service and excellent brunch food in a clean, bright space.
Enjoyed this neighborhood restaurant enough to make it a regular stop.
Very pleasant lunch at Copinette. Food was very good, service was fine as well. Overall, it was a nice place for a quiet business lunch and discussion.
A neighborhood find. Simple and friendly, with very good food and excellent service. I was particularly impressed by th graciousness and manners of the young servers. They reflect well on the attention paid to all details. Very happy to provide for any request.--even to turn down the music
Lump crab cake app was delicious. Filet mignon was fantastic. Halibut was dry. Service was extraordinary.
Delicious food, beautifully presented. You are made to feel welcome by the staff and treated like family.
Food was outstanding, service impeccable and live music! Three piece ensemble playing soft 1930-40's cocktail music. Great atmosphere at the bar! A plus for the neighborhood!
We had a lovely brunch this past Saturday, and we were treated so warmly by all of the staff. They made us feel so welcome and ensured we had a lovely time. They were generous with the portions, and everything tasted so fresh. Absolutely loved the food. This will become a regular spot for us!
I’ve been to Copinette several times and the food and service are always excellent 👍. I highly recommend it and the prices are very reasonable.
Deafening, like so many other restaurants recently. If it were quieter, it would be a good casual place to meet friends in the neighborhood.
A perfect place for a delicious, unhurried lunch with friend from out of town.
This restaurant was across the street from our hotel. We happened to pop in there without much information. We were pleasantly surprised. The food was great and the service great as well. A great find in NYC
The place is nice, service real good. But recipies are reinvented, and not for the best. Risotto was liquid, cordon bleu lost in mustard.
The people are so nice and food and drink are fabulous. A sure bet for a good time.
Will come back
Good neighborhood restaurant, only had lunch there.
Great value, terrific food, excellent service and very quiet and peaceful ambiance!
