My friend and I had the grilled shrimp and bacon and crabcakes--both were amazing!
Wonderful! Excellent food and attentive service in a great setting. Really enjoyed the halibut.
We had a great meal on Mother's day. This was our first time there so it's nice to know we have another good restaurant in the neighborhood. We had a 2:30 reservation and the place was filled but it didn't feel chaotic and it wasn ice that the tables weren't crunched next to each other. For Mother's Day, there was a $40 pre fixe menu of appetizer, meal and dessert. Great food. Excellent crab cakes and heavenly peach melba.
We had lunch at Copinette, which our friend recommended, and I must say I’m pleasantly surprised. The staff was very friendly and the food was amazing. I had truffle risotto and my husband had four cheese ravioli and both were very rich in taste. We both had their new signature cocktail, recommended by the server, called Eros Spritz, which was very delicious and it is a perfect drink for the summer! We highly recommend this place and will definitely come back.
What a nice find! We had a wonderful time at Copinette. Dining room is comfortable yet elegant with tables nicely spaced. I had their swordfish special, beautifully executed and my friend had the filet. Meat temperature was perfect. We finished the meal with madeleines which were fresh and warm. Our server was friendly, he recommended a sparkling Rosé which we enjoyed. Will definitely be back!
Steak frites at the bar was disappointing; very thin cut of beef and although it was close to medium rare, tough to do with such a thin piece of meat. Lots of gristle and fat, as well. The fries were quite good. Bar is a nice area, and the bartender was great. Wine list is pretty wide-ranging and reasonably priced. My wife had the halibut (supposedly a favorite here) and it was nice fish with a way-too-savory crust. Her sides were okay. I like the feel and we will return, but this wasn't a great start.
The food at Copinette is very tasty. I enjoyed my chicken dish...it was very moist and our friends enjoyed the branzino and halibut. There was jazz music since it was a Sunday evening and that was a nice experience except that it was a little too loud while we were eating and trying to talk to our friends. Overall, though, Copinette has a very nice menu and the wait staff are very accommodating.
Avoid at all costs. Terrible service and just ok food. There a many better choices!!
Food was good, but the waiter was very rude to our party. He barely spoke to our table and when he did he was condescending and rude.
Menu - a little bit of everything with no discernible theme. We went on a Saturday night at which they turned maybe 25 covers. How do they keep fresh ingredients for such a long and varied menu given their trickle of customers.
Food - good but salad was significantly overdressed.
Service - waiter started our gruff bordering on rude. Later in the meal he got super friendly and chatty and told us about how hung over the staff was after the owner plied them with free drinks at his other restaurant the night before. Uninvited oversharing!
I guess if you live literally next door, it’s worth going here once or twice before it inevitably shuts down. Definitely not worth a taxi ride from the upper east side.
Thanks for your feedback. We get daily food deliveries to ensure that we serve the freshest food & we are turning many more covers than 25. I apologize that your waiter overshared & have spoken to him how inappropriate that kind of conversation is. I am disappointed you didn't enjoy your experience & am more disappointed that I offered your school a donation to help raise money & you took advantage of my kindness by leaving such a negative review. Hope you can try us again.
The restaurant is lovely and the staff was very nice, but the food was mediocre. My husband really enjoyed his Cobb salad, however, my BLT was just okay. There was very little turkey on it and there was no bacon at all. I had asked for it with mayo on the side, but it came on the sandwich. Thankfully, it wasn't overwhelming. I wanted to enjoy it more than I did.
Perhaps I would try Copinette one more time and have the salad. I think that would have been a better choice.
If I was to refer the restaurant, I would say to avoid the sandwich.
Hi, Thanks for your taking the time leaving us feedback and I'm very sorry to hear we missed the mark on your sandwich. It shouldn't have left the kitchen without bacon and I've spoken to my staff and kitchen and changed the way they are preparing sandwiches so we can better accommodate mayo and sauces on the side. I'm glad to hear your party enjoyed the Cobb salad and hope you can visit us again
I would have rated our experience higher however in the middle of dinner the staff told us to move to a different table because they decided they need ours for another party. We moved but found this request, of course, highly unprofessional, weird, and definitely uncomfortable. To our surprise the staff did not even bother to make nice and adjust our bill or at least offer free desserts or coffee, and on top of it they indicated us as ‘no show’ in open table. We live across the street from Copinette and this surely is not the way to get us back there.
Food and service were excellent.
Cozy spot for locals in the neighborhood. Live jazz on Sunday nights!
The owner is very friendly but the waiter was not - he seemed miserable and bothered by having to serve us.
So glad that my friend and I met for dinner at this new spot! Everything was delicious!!
I got the special fish-sea bass and my friend had the crusted halibut. We started with the arugula salad. The bread that was served was hot and yummy too!
I will def be going back!
Loved this place. Our first time. Would definitely return. All of our dishes were excellent. Service was attentive and friendly. A wonderful surprise.
Excellent customer service
The food was very good. The overall experience was nice, but the service was somewhat slow. Would recommend it though.
Great food...great service...great fixed price dinner....would go back in a heartbeat
Copinette is the perfect neighborhood gem. The food is fantastic, fairly priced, and beautifully presented. The staff is warm but professional. We love coming here.
Great food as always and we love our waiter, Nick!!!
We also appreciate that the bar staff was able to get dark rum for a Dark n’ Stormy! And those three bourbon-soaked cherries are awesome.
Nice brunch- lunch options- great choices for everyone.
Copinette is a great place for a quiet romantic place for dinner. Food was great loved the fun cocktails.
Food very good. A neighborhood gem. Not noisy and good value. Had kale salad excellent. And Filet mignonette wry good
The staff was attentive and the food great and inventive. A good value for the money.
Pretty good and big improvements since they first opened. Noise level a tad high because there's nothing to absorb the sound. They could have used another waiter or 2. Bottom line - still worth going back again.
Great food and service
great service, yummy and affordable food!
I always love going to Copinette. The food is very good and the service is wonderful.
The staff always goes out of their way to make me feel welcome.
Excellent food and service. The maitre d' knows what good food is - great recommendations.
We had a lovely brunch with friends from out of town. We got off to a slow start with no one attending our table for 10 minutes after we arrived but once we worked it out our waiter went above and beyond to make sure we had a wonderful experience and was very attentive. Food was delicious and the pancakes might be the best in the area! Big plus since we are locals
As a party of 4 that arrived before at least 12 other tables, we waited 1.5 hours to get our appetizer then our brunch entrees. During the 1.5 hours, we watch everyone else receive their meals.
Wonderful quiet brunch!
Good menu choices, good wines by the glass and delicious food!
Excellent food and service.
This is a very good neighborhood restaurant. It is too noisy for a special occasion, but the room is attractive and the tables are well spaced.
The menu has a well-thought out selection and there are daily specials. Desserts include mini madeleines, which are shareable, for those who only want a taste of something sweet. The service is good, though a bit harried.
Always a good meal in a airy and relaxing environment.
Very pleasant for lunch and dinner
My friends and I went to Copinette on a Sunday night and had a lovely time. The restaurant had live music yet was quiet enough to have a conversation.
Similarly, the distance between tables is good, again, fostering quality, semi-private conversations.
The service was excellent from the minute we entered until we left.
The menu itself was somewhat limited, which is why I'm not giving 5 stars.
Overall, a nice ambiance, great service, convenient location, comfortable seating and outstanding noise level.
Brunch menu is phenomenal
