My filet was literally charred after a medium cook request. It also looked like a hunk of chuck roast tried to push off as a tenderloin filet. Mashed potatoes were cold as were my husbands. His ribs were tough and fatty. They did make me a new meal, however it was again overdone, but not burnt. The manager did not come out to apologize, and in fact we had to ask for her to discuss the bill which they initially didnt was to even discount. My meal took forever to receive a second time and my husband was staring at me eating. Not a good experience. Our server couldnt have been nicer or more apologetic. She was really great. Unfortunately we wont be back. 😟
Our server lost our credit card with three tables being served. Manager did nothing while server ran around looking for our credit card. We told them prior to bill being delivered we were going to a concert. We were late to the concert and they never found our card. The server lied and said the system was down. Very suspicious to what was done. Manger handled does us very poorly and was just rude
This is my first time visiting this establishment. It was my birthday and I wanted a nice dinner with friends. I am glad I chose this restaurant. Our waiter was very knowledgeable, friendly with personality and attentive. I have already recommended Copia to coworkers.
Very Upsetting. We went here for my brother-in-law's birthday. After confirming with the hostess early in the day that we had a birthday nothing was done for him. It was not busy and the host should have alerted the waitress. The "Hawaiian Fish" was swordfish with raspberry sauce - NOT HAWAIIAN AT ALL! Fish was tough. My husband had the caprese salad to start and found plastic in it - no apologies, no manager even stopped by, worst part was it was still on the bill. Service was slow- Bill was High.
DO NOT GO HERE - SPEND YOUR MONEY SOMEWHERE ELSE!
Waiters didn't know what wines are available and took some time to figure out.
The Food was partially quiet cold. I expect from a Restaurant of this Price Level another Quality.
Service was above and beyond. Food was good as well.
Second visit to Copia. The food was amazing! Service was fantastic.
This was my first time at Copia and I would definitely come back! My filet steak was cooked to perfection. All the food was in fact, very good. Our waitress was very attentive and incredibly pleasant. Can't wait to eat here again!
Tried the Lamb Shank, very tender, sauce was excellent. Service was enjoyable and personable. We definitely recommend giving it a try.
Food was way overpriced. Beautifully plated but not worth it. I had the “special” of .5 lb crab legs which came with 1 large piece of broccoli and mashed potatoes. It was $37 and not as good as Joe’s Crab Shack. Our waitress was new and did an okay job but was young and could not recommend from the extensive wine list.
This was a Groupon find. It was a great place to celebrate our anniversary. The staff and food was great. We plan to visit again.
Our server, Dia, was outstanding and took great care of us. The meal and wine were delicious and we'll definitely be back!
Great spot and awesome service!
Happy Valentine's Day! What a great experience. Our waitress was very attentive and knowledgeable. Our food was amazing. I had the shrimp and grits and they were just the right level of spicy. My husband had the prime rib and it was cooked to perfection! Overall perfect evening. Definitely will be back!
My girlfriend and I had a wonderful time. The setting was just right abd the staff provided great service.
Antonia was great, but still learning about wine...the wine selection is GINORMOUS!!! Alex was great to step in and help pick the perfect wine for our meal. Will recommend.
I absolutely love love love this place! Me and my wife were celebrating our 1 year Anniversary, and the service was Amazing!! I continue to come back for the service and the phenomenal food!!!
Great as always!
Great as usual. Service was perfect. Meal was prepared wonderfully.
The food was way too salty. we were almost the only ones there, and the service was extremely slow. Scallops undercooked. Too much money for less than mediocre food. The menu read amazingly, but the restaurant didn't deliver.
I was a little surprised at the $15 Spicey Lemondrop cocktail, but it was DELICIOUS! At first it was brought to our table looking like there was a lot left in the shaker, but when I asked the server to bring it back full, it was certainly worth the hefty price tag. We had the Jerk wings, and Goat Cheese balls, Caprice Salad, Shrimp and Grits and Duck Entree. Everything was delicious. We will be back again, but maybe just for cocktails and appetizers due to the price point.
Great food and great service. The reason for my overall rating not being excellent is the lack of protein on the vegetarian/vegan options. I ordered a pasta dish, which was delicious but could've used some form of non-meat protein such as seared tofu.
My boyfriend and I came here back in December for a dinner party and we were so pleased with our experience that we decided to come back. Our recent visit exceeded our expectations from our previous visit. Our server was magnificent! I couldn't remember the wine I had the last time I was there. I could only describe what it tasted like and the color. The server narrowed it down to two options and we were able to find it. Talk about someone who knows wine. We ordered Jerk wings for an appetizer. My boyfriend had the lasagna and I had the chicken rigatoni. We were both satisfied with our dishes. I wanted a good authentic pasta and Copia delivered! The serving sizes are measured out pretty well for a single dish entrée. You get just the right amount of food. When asked for a dessert menu, our server brought out a platter of desserts to give us a preview of the dessert menu. Being able to see the desserts offered compared to reading about them defiantly weighs in on your decision to get a dessert. Smart selling technique. I ended up going with a chocolate/brownie dessert, which was amazing. Topped with home made chocolate ice cream, this dessert is guaranteed to satisfy any chocolate cravings you may have. My boyfriend got the butter cake, which came with home made vanilla bean ice cream. He was very impressed. Overall my experience at Copia this past Saturday was an evening to boast about.
The food, drink, and ambiance was good. There was no music or anything playing in the background. It was a little odd.
The food at this restaurant was absolutely exquisite and delicious, large portions that made sure we went home full and very satisfied. When we were there, the restaurant was not busy so it was very quiet and the servers were attentive. We will gladly come back here again sometime when we are back in the area!
I was very disappointed with my service.
Thankfully the food was good.
It was much too cold & drafty.
Our server was sarcastic. We asked about the drafty window where we were seated.
He stated, "Just be glad you're not seated outside". Not funny because it was very cold outside at the time! Who would dine outside in 10 degrees?!
We were told we could not be moved.
We were only moved after another server spilled an entire glass of ice water on me.
Only after much persuasion about my being wet & cold were we moved to the next table which was even more uncomfortable because it was in direct line of the front door opening & closing. We asked if the curtains could be closed where we were sitting & were told no.
We proceeded to place our order but were delayed because the server insisted on giving us a complimentary round of drinks- which we refused. We were already cold & on a limited time schedule for attending a show that evening.
I asked if they would give me a complimentary meal instead (for wetting up my entire right side & offering only fuzzy white kitchen towels which left lint all over me).
The server left for what seemed like an eternity & returned with a refusal from management to comply with my request.
I told him to take the food orders so we would not be late for our show & to please ask the manager to come speak with me directly. He did & the manager arrived soon after. Once I let her touch my sopping wet sleeve, etc. She promised to "take care of me" & offered to pay for my dry cleaning - later returning with an offer to pay for my dinner.
In the meantime, the server who spilled the water came with extra cloth napkins in an attempt to help with the drying process of my dress since I was using paper towels.
Thankfully, my dress dried considerably & the food was tasty. BUT, adding insult to injury with an automatic gratuity based on the cost of both mine & my husband's meal left me with a bad taste in my mouth. Too many "no"s for me!
Seated in the wine garden area and it was freezing. The waitress did allow us to move to sit by the fire instead, however they had all the ceiling fans on high. We kept our coats on and just dealt with it. She didn’t ask us what we wanted to drink and she didn’t explain the menu or tell us of any specials. It was simply “did you decide?” We both ordered filets and ordered mushrooms as an app. 2 minutes later, they are out of mushrooms (we are the first party there on NYE at 515), so we flipped to the bacon wrapped shrimp and risotto. Bacon wrapped shrimp were overcooked and served drowning in sweet and sour sauce... the sauce was exactly what you’d squeeze out of your to go packet for Chinese takeout. Risotto was good. Our filets were delivered with mashed Yukon potatoes and broccoli. Plates were on fire and the waitress had to use our napkins to remove the plate from her serving tray to our table. No steak knives were provided. The steaks were not medium as ordered and no one came by to even ask how things were. (Still the only table at the time) eventually after we were sharing one fork ( they took mine with the app plate)I flagged down the bar tender and asked for steak knives and another fork. The steaks had zero flavor and were so tough we each left over half on the plate. The middles were more than rare with the outsides well done. They must have been frozen. 169.00 dinner before tip and I’ve eaten better steaks at Applebee’s
Prime rib was excellent. My wife had the seafood special and was very happy with her meal.
Waited for 20 minutes for waiter and ordered wine. He brought the glasses and no wine. Broke the cork upon opening. We left before we could order dinner.
Excellent resturant. Very professional staff and always great food. Love this place.
The food was good but maybe a little pricey. Our waitress was very nice. The ambiance was fairly good, but the lights for my taste seemed a little bright for dinner.
It came highly recommended and we totally agree. Great with our 2 Grandkids too. When in town we hope to visit again
The decor was great, the service was impeccable, and the food was delicious. I can't wait to go back.
Great food and outstanding service!
This will be my go to restaurant any time I'm in St. Louis. Took a group of teachers to our annual leadership meeting at the national conference being held, this year, in St Louis. A largish group at 10 people, we we given a lovely table in a separate room surrounded by wine. The food was all great, with variety and appropriate selections for our vegetarians. The wine list was the best of all, with really good vintages available at only a slight markup. Had a great Bordeaux for about 70 that would have been out of my price range anywhere else.
Double date night wine and appetizer before the blues game. Always good, wine, food service and atmosphere. Loved sitting in the garden by the fire 🔥
Restaurant was dead, there were only 5 people including my self, and we were all sitting at the bar. Ordered Ahi Tuna steak and it was very good as were the accompaniments. $8 for a local draft beer is overpriced. Service was slow, bartender took the order and had to walk to the kitchen to place the order, walk to the kitchen to pick up and deliver food.
Waiter totally inexperiened in serving dinner or wine. In selecting wine (2 bottles) we went through 6 selections -- "oh, we're out of that" 4 times. Wine list has not been updated in apparently some time.
Food was nothing special - probably explaing why prices are low for meals. Coffee after dinner was cold and the port selection was abysmal.
They need to overhaul their kitchen staff and service staff and update the wine menu to current.
Great dining experience, loved the prime rib!
We had a group of 13 people who were attending a meeting the next morning. We were seated promptly, had excellent service and the food was topnotch. The wine list is extensive and we were able to choose reasonably priced wines to serve to the group throughout dinner.
