Service was quite slow despite the fact it was half-empty. Food was mostly very tasty, but they WAY over cooked the tenderloin.
Very convenient location. Service was great. I plan on o visit again.
The salads were very boring. Very skimpy on the veggies, cheese, nuts... very few gluten free options. Service was fair the first time I went and good the second.
Ma'am/Sir, We are sorry you didn't care for the salads, and we do value your feedback. Like a lot of newly-opened and locally-owned businesses, we are a work in progress and we desire to always do better for our guests. We appreciate you giving us a shot, and hope you consider another chance. If you do, most of our menu items can be made gluten free. Please feel free to email Chef Kyle at kyle@copiabrands and he would love to accommodate, as we would love to show you a better experience.
Our waitress Joanna was the only thing that redeemed this visit. This place is awful. I really wanted
to like it, but no.
Ma'am/Sir, We really wanted you to like it too...and although your review is disheartening, we appreciate your feedback. We would really like to know more about your disappointing experience, and if you care to leave some more feedback please email Tyler at tyler@copiabrands. We'd love another shot!
We had a group of 8. My food was very good. We were seated in area where noise was not s problem. Waitress took our drink orders then we didn't see her for a while. One of the party had to go looking for her. I would recommend your restaurant.
Food was reasonably priced, drink were a little pricey.
If you want to try this restaurant, go within the next 6 months. They won't be in business that long.
Service was ok, food was just ok, prices were high for the quality of food served. restaurant was 1/2 full at 7:30.
I personally have been to two Copia restaurants and think neither were very good.
Gary, Thank you for your feedback, and we regret your negative experiences. We know we are not for everyone, but we value our people--both guests and employees. If you decide to no longer be a customer, we will be sad to see you go but please consider revising your review and think about the local people we employ. We would hate to think someone saying "They won't be in business that long" online would keep a potential first-time customer from visiting, and keep opportunity from our employees.
Everything was very nice just quite a bit more expensive than we expected.
Food was excellent. I had the Ahi Tuna Salad. Service was excellent and the vibe was lively. Will visit again.
The restaurants is very nice. Very nice decor.
We dined at Copia West County Thursday evening and the restaurant was pretty slow. The service is lacking. Our waitress had little personality and didn’t want to be there.
The food we ate while very good, came to us very slowly and was luke warm. It looked like it had sat in the window for some time.
The spiced lemon martini in the drink menu has a very odd taste not lemony at all. They did take that off the bill which was nice.
My friend’s Copia dinner salad was very earthy like it hadn’t been washed. They removed that from her bill as well.
For the pricey menu, I would expect more. Our group likely wouldn’t return.
Don't choose this place. The waitress commented several times that she had to fight with the bar tenders to get her drinks. Whether or not this is accurate I don't care. Unprofessional, passive aggressive and embarrassing. The reputation of this restaurant drew us to spend an important event with you and it was awful!
Went to celebrate a friends birthday. The waiter was very accommodating as both myself and friend have gluten and dairy restrictions. What impressed me the most was when it came time for dessert, neither of us eat cake, so they made a small fruit cup served in a long stem cocktail glass drizzled with a glazed topping. It was the perfect ending to celebrating a friends birthday. Service was excellent. The noise level is on the high side. Beautifully decorated and great place to go for a high end dinner/special occasion.
Everything was what I expected from Copia. The main dining room was a little loud for a business dinner, but nothing to keep me away. Thank you for moving to West County.
Steaks were really good as was the spinach artichoke cheesecake. The restaurant was very noisy which probably is a result of the acoustics. Overall good experience.
We love this place!! The food, service, atmosphere, and management are all extraordinary! Our hats are off to owner, Amer, and to his team, especially Tyler the manager and Alejandra our server today. We will be back many times!!!
A great menu, food was good and service was just OK. I would like to suggest that the napkins be changed to black. When I left my black pants were full of lint. I was glad that I was heading back home so I could use the lint brush. Most nice restaurants now use dark color napkins just for this reason.
The prime rib pieces served to both me and my husband were about 1/3 fat each.
I thought by now they would have improved, based on the numerous negative reviews about the fatty prime rib.
The best part of the meal was the martini and dessert.
It's a beautiful place but we won't go back for a while.
Great decor and ambience. Fun and lively atmosphere . Love bar area and outdoor patios
Good food choices, large portions . Drink menu had lots of choices. Would visit again
Our table was waiting for us when we arrived. It took our server a few minutes to come and find us and bring us water. Otherwise service was good. Not bad but nothing outstanding. Simply what you should be expecting at this price point. Food is pricey but does taste good. Restaurant does not serve bread but if it does it forgot to bring us any. Desserts were good as well. Food arrives pretty quickly. Atmosphere is average for a place of this type. Meaning that again it’s really nothing exceptional but it’s what you would expect at this price point. If you do go here expect a price the bill but overall a decent experience.
First time there since they opened and liked the different areas they have developed for small groups for wine tasting. Very evident wine is center stage with racks of bottles everywhere. Tables are spread out. Food was great, the blackened fish tacos are spicy but delicious and very reasonably priced. My friend had a salad and 1/2 sandwich combo. She thought caesar was one of best she has had and really liked the pricing.
Will go back for sure.
Service was very slow and the food was not very good. Disappointing.
Bar service very slow. Prime rib was full of fat and not fresh
Great great great!!! Will be back!
We celebrated 2 birthdays. Food was great and desserts were excellent.
Great service, delicious food and the atmosphere was pleasant
Friendly staff. Decor and staff attire seemed overly casual for the type of food and price. Strip steak was tough, sides were tasty. The eggplant in the vegetable napoleon was bitter and unevenly cooked, other vegetables were very good. Tomato bisque and Caesar salad were very good. Even though this visit was a bit underwhelming, we will return to sample the prime rib and the pasta primavera.
Overall, the food was good. We shared a number of appetizers and they were good, especially the smoked shrimp. The ambiance was good, it felt comfortable however, the music was too loud. We had trouble talking to and hearing each other. The service was great except that they hostess did know I was there and so had other members of my party waiting in the front of the restaurant until I came and got them. I would return for another visit.
The waitress was very nice but I could tell she wasn’t trained by the restaurant. She didn’t know how to open a bottle of wine or pour a glass. When I asked for a decanter, she quickly got one but didn’t pour the wine in the decanter.
The food and atmosphere was good and we will return.
Hopefully the restaurant will do a little training
We had a group of 8 people for dinner on a Friday night. Good variety on the menu (food and cocktails). Everyone enjoyed their selections. Service was well-paced. We will definitely return!
My group was in the back room. It was nice for us to be away from the main dining area - we were able to talk and have fun without feeling we were disturbing other guests. in the beginning our drink service was a little slow (one in our group had to go ask about our drinks) but after that all was good.
I am happy you have opened in West County Center. It was my first time at a" Copia" - I enjoyed it very much and plan on returning for dinner in the near future.
Creative and high quality menu items. Good service, large wine list. This is a great addition to the West County Mall area.
Food was ok. Service was poor. Our server was inattentive or overwhelmed. We received our bread after we finished our dinners, there were missing items from our dinners that came out later, we had to flag the wine steward down to place a dessert order. Was hoping someone would have stopped by the table or asked how things went, but no one did. No need to head over there again.
Prime Rib was touted as a house specialty and it was the fattiest (literally 1/3 was a round pod) and toughest I've ever had. Simple request on the bill prompted a confrontation with the Mgr for no reason whatsoever.
The food was great. It was a little loud when we walked in but then we seated in the back room and it was fine. Don’t understand the the bad service comments. We had a great waiter. Attentive, funny and on it. No complaints. Will definitely go back. Watch out for the chocolate cake. It’s very good but huge. Easily could feed 4! Enjoyed our meal.
The ambiance is very good. the food was certainly above average and the presentation was top notch. Service could not have been better. The Sommelier made an excellent wine suggestion which was thoroughly enjoyed. I will go back and will not hesitate to recommend it.
The food was just “okay” for the prices Copia charges. The service was really lacking for an upscale restaurant....waited too long for drinks, too long for appetizers, and way too long for coffee, in fact, coffee came after we had finished dessert. Wife and son stated their steaks were too charcoals to the taste. My scallops were perfect as was the lobster and shrimp pasta. Last thing.....no dessert menu, so the waiter named them off. Pretty good assortment including a chocolate cake. We ordered a chocolate cake and a brownie dessert. When I got the bill, the brownie was like $8.....the cake was, get ready, $15!!!! That is way too over priced regardless how big the slice was. Not sure I will go back to Copia.
The décor is updated. But they are using regular banquet chairs for some of the seating. The oversized bar is too dominant and makes the dining area look like an after thought. Service was slow despite not the fact the place was not nearly full. The food was ok. dinner salad as loaded with onions that were not advertised. The swordfish was ok with a good size filet and a large amount of grits. The shrimp wrapped in bacon appetizer was too greasy. Generous pour of wine. Large wine list out of portion to the menu size. Prices were top end for West county. large wine storage and tasting area seems out of place.
Overall a lot of work in progress.
The bar is under staffed and very noisy. Apparently still using rental furniture until theirs arrives. Jumbolya had few shrimp and no chunks of sausage as advertised. Not a fan of stemless wine glasses. Side of grilled broccoli was not appetizing visually and inedible. Had high expectations and this experience was a let down.
Good was very good but pricey. Went to dinner with friends and we ended up spending $90 each for dinner and drinks. Not really what I had planned to spend but the service was good. It got very noisy for awhile and the place wasn't even full so I would imagine it's very loud at peak times
We had an awesome lunch at Copia III in Des Peres in Saint Louis, MO. We had a wonderful server by the name of Suzy; our sommelier was Sly who was equally wonderful; and during our meal, the owner of the restaurant, Amer, dropped by our table to engage in a delightful conversation. The manager, Tyler, was his usual spectacular!! We love this restaurant and it will quickly become one of the most highly rated and sought after restaurants in Saint Louis MO!
Great job on the remodel. Very nice atmosphere. We will return for sure.
