I was told they did not have my booking but found out at the end they did. I knew they did as Open Table did remind me.
After finishing dinner I overheard a couple ordering one of my favourites dishes which wasn’t offered on the menu I was given.
On the way out I asked the hostess why I wasn’t given that menu. She said I should have asked for it. I said I hadn’t been there before so how would I know to ask?! Her response was a blank face.
For a $211 plus 20% tip meal for 2 people I would expect better trained hostesses.

I received a call 2 hrs prior to our 7:15 reso stating that their was a scheduling error and the dinner menu would not be available but we could still enjoy the tapas plates. No dinner menu at a restaurant!

When they brought the Tapas menu they were sold out of three dishes leaving only 6 to choose from, two being edamame and oysters. We decided not to eat there and were told that someone would reach out the next day but of course nothing.

It was our one year anniversary and I made the reso 3 weeks in advance , terrible customer service and don’t recommmend.

This used to be Origin. Origin was much better.
The Beef tartare was dry and overly salty.
The duck tacos are still great. You have to know to ask for them as they're not on the menu.
The place is a little loud.
The bartender is friendly and excellent.

Food was pretty good - not amazing, but I enjoyed it. Menu had very few options, so definitely a very bad place if you have any kind of dietary restrictions. Honestly, I just thought it was way too expensive for what it was. It wasn't spectacular. Service was very good - no complaints there.

Claudio has done it again!

Presentation was like edible art. Flavours were off the charts!

Ambiance was quite pleasant with a flare of vibrancy!

I assume since we were the only table in the restaurant on the night of the ice storm, chef was off! The scallops were almost unbearable salty, the steak tartar was sent back as it was essentially awful. The octopus was good. The wine pricing is insane which left us feeling unsatisfied. I had high hopes and since we were the only table, we figured it would be amazing. Service was great. The free oysters were appreciated. Than it went down hill. Maybe they should have just closed up shop for the night if all the chefs are off and the second level staff cooking our overpriced food. Too bad!

First visit to the old Origin space, it's just as pretty. Service and food was excellent, try the duck taco and the crab curry. Ambience lacking slightly, very quiet on the lounge side of the restaurant for a Saturday night however the dining area seemed a bit livelier.

Terrible! We sat down for over 10 minutes and didn’t have any of the 5 staff acknowledge us. There was a reason they were empty and I strongly advise others to stay away! Left and don’t plan on returning.

wednesday was a very quiet day at this restaurant when my friend and I ate lunch- so i can't comment on the above. Have eaten at this restaurant when it is busy and the noise level is awful then.

Food was outstanding. The atmosphere is great however the noise level makes it difficult for conversation... One side has bad acoustics with open kitchen and the other side has music playing too loud... If this was fixed, then it would definitely be a top restaurant to take guests, clients, visitors etc.

Food was great, few dishes are amazing (Scallops both from appetizer and main, and Duck) Price was steep, I would recommend the food but will not likely go back for a long time because of the price.

We had the most incredible experience at Copetin from the moment we walked in! Food, drinks, ambiance and service was phenomenal. The team suggested delicious entrees and wine that paired perfectly with our meal. Highly recommended for date night or casual night out with friends.

The restaurant was fairly empty for a Thursday night - which is never a good sign. Very limited menu and super overpriced for the quality. We had the octopus appetizer - while very flavourful, the octopus was mushy and tasted over frozen. The seabream was delicious, but not worth the $. Our server was very good, but overall the staff was a bit green. Would go back if they dropped their prices by minimum $10.

We enjoyed our experience at Copetin very much. Such friendly and professional staff. The food was delicious and creative. Lovely atmosphere and vibe. Love the artwork and music. We would definitely go again.

Group of friends were getting together before the new year. We have the tartare, the gnudi, and the duck. We had a couple pollenators as well. All very well done and delicious. Duck in particular stood out to us as well done. This place has a great ambience to it, and the cocktails were great.

We had a lovely evening. Everything was scrumptious. The execution and plating were beyond impressive. The decor was super cool and it had a very energetic vibe. I will definitely be back to try everything on the menu.

They charged 3 cad for a cup of hot water withh lemon on the side... and it says tea on the bill, I asked my server- she answered the owner wanted to charge that. But when we order that, we were not informed. Who charges 3 cad for a cup of hot water?!?!

I think the menu needs more options. The servers were verrryyy good but came too often t ask if we were ok so I would say annoyingly good. Food is a little pricey for lunch. Good lunch place, not for 55$ without wine..(shared app n dessert n one main entree with coffee)

This is a marvellous addition to Old Town/St Lawrence market area. The food presentation was amazing and the wine list is very impressive. Service level was top notch.

The room at Copetin, both the bar and the dining room, have very nice hip downtown feel while still being cozy and comfortable. Cocktails were delicious and not overpriced for the downtown area. Food was excellent, including one of the best and most creative Beef Tartare dishes I've ever had. Portion sizes were just right and the flavours were delicious. One unusual misstep was in the lamb loin dish, where the lamb was cooked well beyond the ordered (and recommended by our server) medium-rare, to medium or even medium-well. The dish as a whole was delicious and I happily finished every morsel (after pointing out the overcook to our server), but we were perplexed at how this could even happen in the first place as Copetin very proudly displays four operating sous vide baths in the dining room. This cooking method allows for very precise control of temperature, so assuming that the lamb was done sous vide we are at a loss to explain how it was overcooked. Nevertheless, everything else was very good and we would certainly go back.

All good! But I suggest you improve receiving customers who might arrive 10-15 minutes early for a 6pm reservation as we did.
We were not seated in dinning area and were told we had to wait until 6 before waiter could take our order.
Otherwise, food was excellent.

Our meal was beautiful! We had a kid-free evening and I made a reservation after seeing a writeup in the Village Post. I had the famous gnudi, which were delicious as advertised, and my husband had the sea bream, which was also lovely. The Citrus Moon for dessert was fun and delicious too. The service was attentive without being overbearing. We would definitely go back.

Our server was exceptional and very attentive to our needs, the food was deeply satisfying and delicious. Beet salad and venison ragu on cavatelli were so good, we cleaned our plates. My friend and I had a really great time and we will be back again!!

Food was very good but I did not like the ambiance at all. The restaurant was half empty. And looking around at the clientele it felt a bit like a tourist trap. I loved Origin but will not be back to Copetin. Perhaps it is the neighbourhood or the space is too big and a bit unfair since the food was very good. but there are so many great restaurants in Toronto that Copetin doesn’t warrant a repeat visit.

Great time! Food was So good! The grilled octopus was my favourite dish, BEST octopus I’ve ever had!! Our waitress was also amazing, super friendly and very knowledgeable of the menu! Definitely a place to recommend to friends and will be returning!!

My daughter and I had a wonderful dining experience at Copetin. All the staff were friendly and accommodating. They offered to take photos of us together. The cocktails were superb and the dinner was perfection. Would definitely recommend the beef tartar and the scallops! The atmosphere was relaxed. We had a great time!

Everything was quite good. While the lunch menu is small, it is well thought out with options for every palate. Service was very attentive and friendly without hovering. The open kitchen and and decor (including the shelves hosting active Anova sous vide stations) fit well into this particular restaurant aesthetic. Couple of small things that could have used some tweaks but in fairness we arrived right at opening/noon and were in a hurry. Would happily recommend Copetin and look forward to sampling the bar and dinner menus.

Had a good time. Food was delicious, as well as great service. We were a little disappointed at the patio though. The bar outside wasn't open (drinks were prepared indoors then brought out) and neither was the outdoor kitchen. Found this rather strange considering it was one of the nicest nights out in quite a while. Chef's table also still not ready. Restaurant itself seems like it's still trying to figure itself out. Which is a shame because it brings the ambience down on a night out.

A fantastic food experience with the ability to watch Chef Claudio "run the pass" in the middle of the restaurant. Worth the price and the drive!
