Best Italian food in Denver!
Loved the restaurant, but the food was a bit heavy.
Love Coperta generally, food is delicious but what the neck happened with the ventilation system? All clothes in the wash afterwards due to heavy cooking smells. Very bad smelling, greasy, in there. Need to fix that.
Valentine’s with my Lady
the pasta entrees were a bit salty, but the appetizers were amazing.
Boyfriend’s birthday dinner
Great service and food. Worth a visit
Appetizers and main course were amazing- ! Desserts weren’t good at all. We ordered the donuts to go they were burned! We shared a scoop of ice cream that tasted like another super market ice cream box .
A wonderful celebration for my husbands birthday. Food was spectacular!
Service was wonderful and we had a great evening. Even with a toddler and a baby!!
We ate here 3-4 years ago and it was fantastic. Went here again last night and it was so close to still being great but everything was over salted. Maybe it was a heavy hand on our dishes but the two pastas we shared and then 3 of 4 our our entrees were just too salty. Disappointing and left needing to drink water.
Excellent, quality ingredients; portions could be a little large for the money.
Dinner was delicious. We started with the calamari which we all loved the seasoning. The only complaint would have been that the calamari was so tiny. 3 of us had the chicken. It never never disappoints! My husband loves the Cavatelli Ragu, so he had that, which is delicious too! We all ordered the house salad. It could use a little boost. Very boring. The dressing is delicious, but how about a little shaved parm at least to make it a little more fun. We ordered the market vegetables. They were good, but the spice was almost exactly like the spice on the chicken. So it was like ordering something with the same flavor and not something that complimented the chicken. BTW, we were sat in the room in the back of the restaurant, it was quaint and we liked it, but they need to turn the lights down. It was so bright it took away from the ambiance. The guy sitting next to us compared the lighting to Denny's. Ha! I wouldn't go that far, but we did ask them to dem the lights a bit and it really made a big difference. Other then that Copetra continues to be one our favorite restaurants to go to :O) P.S. We loved our waitress!
Excellent food and friendly, knowledgeable staff. We were too full for dessert but will be back to try the affogato.
Had to wait 30 min to be seated (even though we had a reservation). I actually think the hostess forget about us (she had us wait in the bar), until I went up and checked. Our server was apathetic, like a bored teenager, couldn’t get her to describe items on menu. Food was just ok
I've driven past Coperta several times, never really thinking about going in. What is a wonderful restaurant!! I think it's one of the areas best kept secrets. Friday nights are usually tough to find a table for 4, but we were able. Outstanding food, great service, and good wine. Without hesitation I recommend Copterta.
I love this place, and honestly part of me wants to keep it all to myself because I don't want it to become too busy, but everyone is so lovely they deserve all the success. Literally everything I've had here has been crazy delicious. My favorites are the bucatini and the eggplant, and my husband loves the market fish and the pork chop. It's the first place I want to go to celebrate a special occasion, and it's my go to for hosting out of towners. Delicious food, great drinks, excellent wine, amazing service, good value for the whole experience. Just go and see for yourself already!
Helpful and friendly staff! Great bartender and food :)
Had a great time (again) at Coperta. One of my faves in Denver!
We had been here about a year ago and thought it was amazing. Tonight we were a bit disappointed. First of all, they were out of every fish except calamari. My husband does not eat meat so that left few options for him. The dishes we had were fine but nowhere near the quality of our last visit. Maybe it was a bad night--we will definitely try again. Service was great and noise level in bar was amenable to conversation but not dull.
Love this place!! There used to be a dessert on the menu, the tartuflo I believe, that made their menu sublime rather than just perfect, so can’t go wrong with Coperta!
Delicious food & wonderful service. Can't wait to go back.
Great for 7 of us for dinner, waiter was almost too attentive.
Our first dinner here and we'll be sure to return the next time we're in Denver. Everything we tasted, including the calamari, ravioli & lamb special were outstanding. Pleasant dining ambiance and friendly staff.
Food and service was absolutely wonderful! Great happy hour prices for wine before we sat down at our table too.
Always consistent--good food, good service. And I love that it is in the neighborhood!
This place was a gem! Beautiful old building and easy to find. Street parking available as well. The food was fantastic! It was a birthday celebration and we let them know in advance. They treated us to some champagne to start to mark the occasion and of course ended with their homemade limoncello. You can get half size portions which is great for sharing or just a smaller portion. Would definitely go back, loved it!
It was delicious - the $7 side salad was entirely overpriced considering what you get. That said, this is a neighborhood gem. I highly recommend.
Delicious as always! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and there's no pressure to dine and enjoy the food and wine.
The food was amazing!!! A little heavy on the salt for me but we enjoyed our dinner .
My girlfriend and I love coming here, the service is always top notch, and the food is amazing.
The market pasta for New Years was INSANELY good, and the Olive Oil gelato blew our minds. Best I’ve ever had, anywhere.
Thank you Coperta for making the last night of our year so special!
Really a nice place with consistently good food.
My husband and I absolutely loved our experience! Very welcoming atmosphere and staff ... and the staff is highly educated on the menu, food items, history, wines, cocktails, Etc. It was so impressive! Dan, Kyle, and Mariana were absolutely FABULOUS! Wow! The dishes were exquisite. Everything we had is worth mentioning - Calamari ... Buffalo cheese ... Wisconsin Cow Milk ... Whole fish ... Grass fed Beef ... Pistachio torte ... and olive oil ice cream!! Please put this restaurant on your must list!
In-laws anniversary and took them there for the first time. They were blown away. Fab service, fab food
The food was good. The eggplant parm was especially good. Some of the pasta dishes are interesting and others (not made in house) are a little mediocre. But the service is what really made this restaurant. It was impeccable! Every single server was knowledgeable, friendly, upbeat, communicative and proactive. I would definitely go back.
Excellent seven fishes dinner. A little pricey for what you get but still a good experience. Maybe add In some cookies and limoncello next year.
Christmas Eve tradition for our family. Never disappoints. Outstanding food, service and beautiful location.
Christmas Eve dinner was delicious. Anything coming out of their wood fired grill is worth having!
Yummy cocktails and an excellent Italian wine list.
Our last course was salty. The manager came around and asked how it was. My wife said that hers was too salty to eat, I mentioned that mine was salty too. I will tell the chef. That was the end of it. Not “hey let me get a replacement, hey sorry about that”. Just got dropped. Like it never happened. Service was as great, best sauce I have ever had, but the whole not seeming to care about the issue we had, will make this a non starter in the future.
Absolutely astounding from start to finish Michaela is a fantastic hostess. Liana our server was an absolute angel we accidentally spilled water on our eggplant parm and they replaced it no issue. Truly exceptional service we will be back repeatedly.
