Our renaissance inspired restaurant is based on polish royal cuisine. Copernicus stands for traditional recipes interpreted in an innovative manner by our talented Chef – Marcin Filipkiewicz. In our menu you will find mushrooms, quails, crayfish, asparagus and other precious products. Copernicus restaurant has gathered a lot of prizes and awards – among others, the Michelin guide recommendation. In the glass-covered courtyard, guests can relax in the intimate library or in the bar. In the spring and summer season, we invite guests to enjoy drinks on the summer terrace which looks out on the majestic Wawel castle, domes and towers of churches as well as rooftops of the old town. Among the guests of the Copernicus were world leaders, artists and actors. We are honored to name George W. Bush – the president of the United States and Charles III, the King of the United Kingdom as our guests.

Restauracja oferuje eleganckie doświadczenie fine dining, jednak brakuje w niej pewnych elementów zaskoczenia i odwagi -większość menu jest po prostu technicznie dobra. Myślę że to zbyt mało by wyjść z restauracji z takim pricepointem w pełni usatysfakcjonowanym. Menu, mimo wysokiej jakości składników, nie wyróżnia się innowacyjnym podejściem do kulinariów. Ceny są przeszacowane w porównaniu do konkurencyjnych miejsc o podobnym standardzie. Obsługa z drugiej strony jest na najwyższym poziomie, dyskretna i szybko, czasem zbyt szybko reagująca na sytuację na stole.

My partner and I had an exceptional experience at this restaurant. Firstly, the food was outstanding, and we would highly recommend it based on that alone. Additionally, we were charmed by the intimate ambiance, which felt perfect for a date night.

It seemed like we were not expected despite the booking. 5 min to find our booking, no table prepared for us… The food was Ok but not more. Black truffle was without any taste… At the end they started to clean the room with us still inside, clear message for us to leave… I expeted more for this level of price…

Klasse Menü und Küche. Dachte das ist eher eine Ein Sternlocation. Der Flusskrebszwischengang war sensationell. Auch der erste Gang war eine absolute Explosion der Sinne. Abstriche fand ich im Bereich Atmosphäre. War vom Interieur und die Beleuchtung zu dunkel. Ansonsten ist die Lage direkt am Wawel natürlich perfekt.

Menu, that I tried was very inspiring - especially bavareses, which both were coupled with more acidic garnish; dishes that I tried definitely were balanced in taste, and showed novelty in terms of approach (eg. use of surprising flavours for already well established textures), yet preserving the traditional elements. I did enjoyed all five compositions; in regards to each of them, it was apparent, that the attention to detail constituted a lot of focus for the chef. I also didn't have to wait long time for next part of the menu, everything flowed smoothly and in a satisfactory manner. I definitely recommend this restaurant.

You cannot go wrong with Copernicus. We went there for my girlfriend's birthday and ordered the 9 courses menu. Probably the best culinary experience I've ever had. Each dish was introduced properly by friendly waiters, the Champagne was kept cold at all time, and we really appreciated the overall experience. Not to mention the delicate attention for my girlfriend birthday. I've never been so happy to pay a check. An unforgettable experience.

Awful food in disguise as “gourmet”. Horrible service. The worst dining experience ever. This restaurant is NOT Michelin. No ambiance at all- felt like you are in a monastery and no desire to please. I wish we would have taken the early hints and walked out.

We had 7 course tasting menu and were very impressed by the food: it was imaginative and of the highest quality. Fantastic flavours and presentation coupled with excellent wine. Absolutely brilliant! I had the 5 course tasting menu and my partner was booked for the 5 course vegan menu but the waiter asked if she was possibly pescatarian or vegetarian. She is vegetarian and the chef then curated a menu just for her! No other restaurant would go to such lengths. The Michelin guide recommends a table in the hotel atrium however I recommend if your a couple to ask for the single table in the alcove with the bookcases, it feels like a private dining room. Also the value for money is ridiculous in the UK in London you would have paid 3 times the amount for worse service! Bravo. If I ever return I will be doing the 9 course tasting menu for sure!

Our last indulgent fine dining meal on a beautiful getaway to krakow. We opted for the 5 course tasting menu and it didn’t disappoint. The flavours were intense. The herring to start was one of my favourites along with the the beef with artichoke. The waiters are very attentive and available for any questions you may have about the meal or tasting menu. It’s well presented on the plate, a masterpiece. The ambience was amazing only 2 other tables were being served. Which made the ambience quiet and more personal. The location of the restaurant is away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre but not too far either. The waiter suggested a beautiful white wine from Poland and it didn’t disappoint, it was superb. It’s in a beautiful historic building also. It’s more than a 5 course meal you get quite a lot of amuse bouche in between. Which we were very grateful for.

We had the seven course dinner (5 and 9 courses also available). Portions are sized so that this is not overwhelming. Food was exquisitely presented, imaginative and and delicious; for example, local trout with sorrel and apple foam, beef (probably tenderloin) with Jerusalem artichoke (purée and crisp), veal sweetbreads and forest mushrooms. The off-menu palate cleanser of celery ice with apple cider was a delightful change from the usual sorbet.
