   The food was spectacular. We had crab cakes and shrimp and grits. Best crab cakes I ever had. Great music but not too loud. Definitely coming back.

   Nice friendly atmosphere, linens on the tables, but saw mostly casual dress. Not a large selection, so what they have, they do well. Moderate wine list. For a small town. I thought it was very nice. I had salmon that was cooked perfectly moist and meaty.

   The grouper with lemon risotto was excellent... artfully presented and perfectly prepared. Delicious Homemade bread was brought with olive oil and butter, and salad was simple, fresh and tasty as salad should be. Waitstaff is always professional and friendly, and the owner has been there every time we’ve dined. Food was brought out promptly. Stylish atmosphere with a city flair.... one of a kind restaurant here in our small town.

   The food was excellent! We enjoyed the raw oysters with house made cocktail sauce and fresh green salads to start. The filet au poivre was the best steak I've had in a few years and the pork chop was absolutely delicious. Wine options were very good, we had a full bodied, delicious malbec. Our Server was attentive and very friendly. The music selection was superb. The only thing that could have been a bit nicer was the seating arrangement (standard straight line tables and booths, concrete floor, it just seemed a bit cramped, with no buffer between patrons or aisle ways).

   We loved Coopers. The food was wonderful and the atmosphere was elegant. We were able to have a conversation without having to compete with background noise or overhead music. The staff were attentive and friendly. We will be back

   The food was amazing. Well worth the price. Service was excellent. It is about time Sanford got an actual fine dining restaurant. This is what you should expect when coming both in food quality and prices! The salmon was absolutely delicious.

   We all loved Coopers. The food was delicious, the wine exceptional and the service was wonderful. We could not have asked for anything more. Our waitress was so attentive! Thanks for making our girls night out so special!

    The owner Barron is always there when we go, and comes out to say hello which is a nice touch. The hostess and wait staff are friendly, attentive and professional. It’s nice to have beautiful large, crystal Reidel wine glasses to drink out of, somehow it does make a difference! The atmosphere is the best in Sanford with low lights and usually smooth jazz playing. The high ceilings and light decor are tasteful. The food is always top notch, especially the salmon, crab cakes, filet and lemon risotto. The bread that is brought out for the table is delicious. We love to go here before attending a show at the incredible Temple Theatre! Or just on a night I’d rather not cook!

    What a great find in Sanford! Who knew? A fairly small menu ensures perfection and freshness for the chef’s chosen entrees. The staff is quick, friendly and knowledgeable. I’ve been three times and I can say it will be our “ go to” place for special dinners and occasions. It’s expensive, but I think very well done. Beautiful presentations and ample portions. The salad is a little small, but delicious. Well done!

    The entrees/apps were very good. Filet was outstanding, however the price on the menu was for the 8oz filet but that was not stated on the menu. We ordered a 12oz filet and it was more expensive when the check came. Salad was very small for the price of the entree. Service was excellent. They only offered 1 dessert on the menu which was disappointing as we were there to celebrate a birthday.

    Very nice experience. Food was excellent and perfectly prepared, very good portions and beautiful presentation. Our server was very attentive. Went on a Saturday evening. Expected to see a full house but was rather empty. Would like to see the environment jazzed up a bit more to match the menu prices. That is the only recommendation I would have.

    What a great discovery! As residents of a town about 30 minutes from Sanford, I had read nothing but good reviews about Coopers. It did not disappoint. The filet that my husband had was so carefully prepared and was sourced from the local area. That is just one example from a lovely meal. Service was top-notch also. I couldn’t figure out why this place wasn’t busier on a Friday night. It should be slammed. It’s that good.

    Delicious food- excellent chef! The steak was tender, the pork chop moist and thick, crab cakes outstanding, scallops done perfectly! Owner Baron was on hand to be sure our experience was the best it could be! Tammy the hostess was friendly and our waiter (Justin?) was very attentive! Highly recommend! Catch a show at the Temple Theatre in walking distance❤️

    This was a refreshing night out for my my wife’s and I Anniversary. We normally go out to Raleigh or Holly Springs for a nice restaurant experience and hear about Coopers here in Sanford. We decided to give it and try, and I’m glad we did. The menu was small, but that did not stop them from impressing me. I decided to try the Scallops and the chief paired everything on the dish perfectly. So many flavors made it hard to have a conversation because I was constantly taking another bite. That also was the way my wife felt about her Shrimp and Grits. This southern comfort food was just what she wanted and was very impressed with all the flavors it had. The hostess and our waitress were very nice and spoke to us like we’ve been friends for years. And lastly our drinks from the bar were delicious! I drank my specialty drink in about 2 min from hitting the table! I will definitely be back for a just because day along with special occasions. I’m so glad to see a fine dining experience closer to home! Thank y’all for a wonderful evening!

    Excellent food! Highly recommend crab cake appetizers, scallops, and pork chops. Real crab in the cakes, not bread crumbs. Scallops seared perfectly, chop tender and juicy. Will be back!!

    Coopers is a wonderful dining experience that we are grateful to have in Sanford, NC. The food is as good as we’ve had from excellent restaurants in Cary to the coast and back to the mountains. The service is top notch and they make it apparent they are glad to be taking care of you. Highly recommend!

    Met some old friends half way in sleepy little Sanford. Restaurant was a recommendation by a co worker and did not disappoint. Great atmosphere and the food was very delicious. Also had a great wine selection. We spent hours there and the staff was extremely patient with us. Great experience!!

    I really like Coopers. Sanford needs a place like this. Thought the brunch prices were a little pricey and not enough non-egg dishes. Have also eaten here for dinner and the prices were fair for what you got. The chef does an excellent job preparing the food. It is delicious. They have run out of items on the menu but was able to chose a different item. Overall, it is a nice addition to Sanford!

    Recently went to Coopers with my husband and another couple to celebrate my birthday . My husband ordered his steak medium it was well done . I ordered the fish and chips expecting crunchy fish the breading was not done and it fell off the fish in one whole piece . The fish was undercooked and too salty . We had eaten there before about 2 months ago and it was really good . I was very disappointed with my visit this time. Would not recommend now!!

    This was our second visit. Everyone enjoyed their meal very much. One thing, could not understand why they couldn't make s white wine spritzer. Waiter said they didn't have the wine but there is a whole list of white wines on the wine menu? Maybe the waiter needs to be trained in such things. Overall a very pleasant experience.

    Food was tasty and well-seasoned. I believe my only feedback would be to improve on food platting and presentation. For the $ spent and also type of atmosphere, the food would be even more appealing if platting was more “artistic”. Food tasted excellent, but the platting could use some improvement to match the style and type of restaurant this place aims to be.

    We had a wonderful celebration for my brother's 60th at this restaurant. Food was outstanding and drinks yummy but the wine pours on the lighter side. Definitely want to recommend for a celebration as you wouldn't stop here for a quick bite. You're paying for creative and high quality dishes

    Would recommend for the food. Hardly "silver service" but quite adequate and very friendly. A tad overpriced for the overall experience but worth the effort getting down to Sanford
